Peer to Peer (P2P) energy trading as an emerging project of Collaborative Consumption has attracted interests and attention from recent research.Previous research has paid attention to business models, operation process, but neglected the motivations behind the mechanism of P2P energy trading. At the same time, how to design a peer to peer energy trading platform with selected features thus becomes vital in facilitating user trading experience. This study will use the Natural Language Processing (NLP) method to assess characteristics that influence P2P energy trading.Notably, the data in this study will be collected from Twitter and reviews of Vandebron by using the Latent Dirichlet Process (LDA) model with Python.
China and India are both large developing countries in Asia, but according to the data, there existed some gaps between the two countries. For example, in the trade of financial services, China is far behind India in both the total volume and the structure of the trade in services. This is partly because China has adopted the policy of proactive risk prevention and deleveraging in order to ensure the stability of the financial sector. However, in the context of economic globalisation becoming a general trend, the internationalisation of financial industry has also become an important characteristic of economic globalisation. As a new profit growth point, all countries are striving for a bigger financial market. To serve the construction of the new development pattern of China, this paper carries out the new development concept, and puts forward the optimisation path of the development of China's financial service trade.
The institutional arrangement of venture capital is suitable for the risk characteristics of creative industry. However, due to the characteristics of creative industry, the integration of creative industries and venture capital in China is still in the primary stage, and the development mode is not perfect. Some suggestions are put forward in this paper in view of the main problems of venture capital entering creative industry in China. The first is to speed up the marketisation process of creative industry; the second is to improve the intangible assets evaluation mechanism that adapts to the development characteristics of creative industries; the third is to establish a guarantee mechanism for creative industries; the fourth is to improve the investment and financing system of creative industries; and the last is to give preferential policies to venture capital companies investing in creative industries.
Innovation is the core of national competitiveness and the leading driving force for economic and social development. With the deepening of the Made in China 2025, the innovation ability of Chinese enterprises has greatly improved. We analyse the internal factors and external factors that affect the innovation ability of Chinese enterprises. Using five indicators, such as the number of research institutions, the expenditure of new product development, the sales revenue of new products, the number of patent applications, and the number of invention patents, we analyse the innovation ability and innovation characteristics of Chinese enterprises. Furthermore, we compare and analyse the differences of enterprise innovation ability in different industries and under different ownership systems, and elaborate the problems of Chinese enterprise innovation, so as to put forward some suggestions on making innovation plan and improving innovation ability of Chinese enterprises.
Owing to the economic reform and opening-up policy, China has seen a continued economic boom since late 1970s. It has now become the world's largest energy producer and consumer. In addition, China is also a frontrunner in energy transition investments over the last decade with a total investment of over $1.2 trillion equal to that of USA, Germany and Japan combined. Despite the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic and the subsequent unprecedented turbulence on the global energy market, the trajectory of China's energy transition is not diverted but rather accelerated into a green economy according to our research. The paper reviews China's energy development and illustrates the influences of the pandemic on its energy transition. To reach carbon neutrality by 2060, four paths are proposed which include utilising fossil energy in a cleaner way, deploying renewables in large scale, diversifying the energy mix, and pushing forward end-use electrification.
As a new and high-tech after AI, blockchain technology has been widely recognised for its great value and application potential. Compared with developed countries, China has the advantages of rich application scenarios, good technology foundation, support of domestic market and relatively inclusive policy environment in the field of blockchain. However, there is still a gap in the original innovation ability, core technologies, rules and standards, quality and supply of talents, etc. Therefore, the following suggestions are put forward: First, we should make independent innovation and make breakthroughs in core technologies. Second, integrated development of blockchain technology and real economy should be focused on. Third, strengthen supervision and guide the healthy development of the industry. Fourth, cultivate talents and solve the pain points of industry development. Fifth, we need to improve standards and enhance our international voice and rule-making power. Finally, balance interests and promote the implementation of industrial reform.
The continued spread of the COVID-19 has aroused widespread public concern and worries about the world economy. As a stabiliser and power source for global economic growth, China's economic growth is driving global economic development. First, this article conducts a retrospective analysis of China's economic growth in the past two decades and finds that the impact of external factors such as the SARS epidemic and the Wenchuan earthquake on China's economic growth is temporary. Secondly, this article elaborates on the expansionary fiscal policy and moderately loose monetary policy implemented by the Chinese Government in the context of the pandemic, and it analyses the effectiveness and applicability of macroeconomic policies. Thirdly, this article connects with Western macroeconomic theory and external imbalance theory to make further analysis of the current macroeconomic policy.
The case study aimed to describe the values in family businesses owned by Chinese diaspora in Sarawak, Malaysia. Interviews were conducted with founders and successors from 12 Chinese family businesses to identify the values. Of the 26 values identified, the most common values are trustworthiness, hard work and prioritising personal interest over family obligation. Prioritising personal interest over family obligation, discipline and being daring in business are new values which emerged in this study, and suggest a move away from traditional values. Apart from these, it seems that Chinese cultural values are largely maintained in this Malaysian Chinese diaspora despite the prolonged contact with host cultures and the Western educational background of successors. The study produced a framework for prevailing values in family businesses owned by Chinese diaspora in Malaysia which is firmly anchored to an established framework of Chinese cultural values.
Over the past 20 years, the identification of interventions related to healthcare management has been greatly facilitated by improvements in the well-being and health of the entire population. However, regardless of the positive developments in smart health applications and e-health research, there are two important gaps, (1) the role of gamification variables in the continued use of eHealth applications has not been adequately assessed, and (2) the extent to which people's perception of the continued use of e-health applications is encouraged through habit. Customers and companies can derive considerable value from exploring E-Health applications' health self-management services. Accordingly, estimating such services' ongoing adoption by customers is aimed for in this research, with habits, intrinsic and extrinsic variables incorporated into a study model which is then tested. This paper examined perceived autonomy, perceived competence, perceived relatedness has positively related to enjoyment and habit. Reward has positively related to perceived autonomy and continued to use. Enjoyment and Habit have positively associated with the decision to continue to use in e-Health Apps. 269 individuals who have used Chinese e-health applications comprised the data collection sample, being reached via an online questionnaire. Data analysis was undertaken using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modelling (PLS-SEM). It was found that the ongoing adoption of e-health self-management services was perpetuated to a greater extent by intrinsic variables; in terms of strategizing for companies' e-services, the results can inform this process.
Drawing upon strategy and organisational theories and practices, we develop a model of corporate culture, strategic change and corporate performance extending the current conceptualisations of 'corporate culture' and 'strategic change'. Using data obtained from 244 Chinese construction firms our empirical results show that internal organisational factors significantly influence corporate change and hence corporate performance. In this study, strategic change is found to not only influence structures and processes, but it also lends support to the cognitive organisational reorientation approach to understand relationships. We contribute new understanding, showing that team spirit and social responsibility have a positive influence, while science and technological innovation and organisational learning have a negative influence on strategic change speed, magnitude and depth. Customer orientation did not meet the requirements of factor analysis and strategic change was found to have no intervening influence on the relationship between corporate culture and corporate performance.
Second-language (L2) students use their culture and experiences to interpret new texts they encounter. This paper used content and appraisal analysis to compare how Hong Kong and mainland Chinese students view surveillance. Qualitative data was collected while Edward Snowden was in Hong Kong. Frequently-realised themes in both corpora were authorities' attempts to control people, power, and il/legitimate uses of surveillance. In the Hong Kong corpus, most attitudes were negative emotions. In the mainland corpus, most were positive judgments of normality and propriety. Strong colligations were found across several subcategories in the Hong Kong corpus, but only in judgements in the mainland corpus. Results suggest Hong Kong university students are more emotional and individualistic, connecting surveillance to the self, where mainland students are more positive, connecting surveillance to group experiences.
