Two commercial Lasota strain Newcastle Disease (ND) vaccines namely Lasota vaccine-1 and vaccine-2 and two Mukteswar Newcastle disease vaccines namely Mukteswar vaccine-1 and vaccine-2 were evaluated fort their efficacy and influence on productive performance of broilers. For this purpose, total of 75 broilers day-old chicks were distributed into five equal groups tagged as A, B, C, D and E respectively, each group was further divided into 3 subgroups containing 5 birds per subgroup respectively. The birds in groups B, C, D and E were actively immunized against ND with Lasota-1, Lasota-2, Mukteswar-1 and Mukteswar-2 respectively, on days 10 and 21 through ocular route, leaving A as control group leaved unvaccinated. The serum HI antibody response to these four vaccines was determined on day 21st and 35th day of the experiment. According to the recorded results, group C vaccinated with Lasota (vaccine-2) showed significantly high (p<0.05) antibody titers throughout the experiment as an evidence of its high efficacy. Other performance parameters such as feed intake, water intake, total body weight and Feed Conversion Ratio (FCR) were recorded on day 7th, 14th, 21st and 35th day of the experiment. These performance parameters differed significantly (p<0.05) throughout the study period. The unvaccinated broilers (control group) showed better results in terms of weight gain and FCR than the vaccinated groups and there were not found a noticeable difference in the productive performance of the broilers between the vaccinated groups. From the recorded results, it was concluded that group C of broilers administered with Lasota vaccine-2 proved to be more efficient in terms of antibody production in broilers, although all the tested vaccines produced protection titers and unvaccinated broilers had better productive performance as compared to vaccinated flock.

Endometriosis has been observed throughout history, well before modern medicine developed taxonomy and treatment for this frequently seen benign condition. Endometriosis was discovered microscopically and described in the 19th century by Von Recklinghausen. These lesions commonly occur in females of childbearing age and can be found invading any organ in the human body. They present with cyclical pain that waxes and wanes with the menstrual cycle, dyspareunia, dysmenorrhea, and other symptoms that drastically lowers quality of life. Endometriosis may take many years to produce noticeable symptoms. A serious cause of concern is when these lesions remain unnoticed and undergo malignant transformation into clear cell carcinoma or endometrioid carcinoma. The prognosis for these malignancies is usually poor, which further stresses the importance of screening and early surgical intervention. We recommend that our patients be attentively heard and carefully examined during routine checkups, especially if they present with known or uncommon gynecological symptoms. There are many presentations of this disease with many theories to explain the pathophysiology, however, our case will focus on iatrogenic influence during abdominopelvic procedures. Our patient’s case involves a rare case of “Inguinal-Scar Endometriosis” associated with progressively increasing burning pain along a surgical scar accompanied with a palpable subcutaneous mass.
Livedoid vasculopathy (LV) is a chronic, recurrent, painful, and debilitating inflammatory skin disease that causes erythematous plaques and papules primarily on a patient’s lower extremities (LE). The primary form of treatment is anti-coagulation and immunosuppression. In the presented case, our patient began experiencing LV symptoms soon after she self-treated a knee abscess secondary to a canine hair embedded in her skin. She was placed on a powerful immunosuppressive regimen that worked wonders for her disease symptoms but left her vulnerable to opportunistic infections, such as, the non-tuberculoid Runyon group 4, M. abscessus/chelonae complex. Should we as clinicians, place our patients in this kind of danger by means of treatment? We want to do what is best for our patients, but sometimes end up hurting our patients more than they were before they came to us.

The proteins of the catenin family, such as β-catenin and p120 catenin, control the trafficking of cadherin and cytoskeletal rearrangement. The signalling of aberrant catenin has been shown to play a role in neuronal dysfunction seen in models of AD or Parkinson's disease (PD) with irregular amyloid precursor protein (APP) or oxidative vulnerability processing.
A common malignant tumour in the urinary system is renal cell carcinoma. Chromophobe renal cell carcinoma (chRCC) accounts for approximately 3 percent to 5 percent of all RCCs among the various sub-types of renal cell carcinoma. ChRCC is known to be derived from mitochondrial alterations of the collecting duct, harbours, and can be found in Birt-Hogg-Dube syndrome. In general, homogenous and indolent tumours have been considered to be chRCCs.
Introduction: Breast cancer is the most common cancer among women, with prevalence of metastatic disease as high as 30%, despite early diagnosis and aggressive treatment. Breast is the most common site of origin for ocular metastatic tumors. Common presentations of orbital tumors are exophthalmos, pain, decreased vision and diplopia. Case Description: We present a case of a 57 year old female, with left ptosis that was worsening for 3 months, weakness and fatigue. MRI scan revealed left orbital mass and upon funduscopic examination there were bilateral multiple retinal lesions and hemorrhage. Full workup revealed the patient had stage 4 breast cancers. Discussion: Ptosis and retinal lesions as the first sign of stage 4 breast cancer was not reported in the literature so far. Ocular metastasis of breast cancer has a high prevalence and a diverse presentation, it is therefore important to consider it in the differential diagnosis of unusual ocular findings.
WHO Classification of Head and Neck Tumours (2017) defines Ameloblastoma as benign intraosseous progressively growing epithelial odontogenic neoplasm characterized by expansion and a tendency for local recurrence if not adequately removed. It reports annual incidence of about 0.5 cases per million populations but it is considered to be the most common odontogenic tumour next to odontoma with a varied global prevalence. Although, there are several researches, reports and reviews on ameloblastoma; our review discusses the recent updates with emphasize on molecular pathobiology of ameloblastoma and also revolves around the controversies on radical vs. conservative management with updates on chemotherapeutic management. This scenario suggested us to clarify the prospects in management of ameloblastoma with the available scientific literature. Our narrative review aims to address recent updates on clinical, surgical management, adjuvant therapies with relevance to clinico-pathological and radiological features and also molecular aspects in relation to management of ameloblastoma.
Melanoma is a devastating form of skin cancer and is the 5th most common cause of cancer deaths in the United States. Melanoma is responsible for the majority of skin cancer related death in the United States as well. Melanoma behaves in an unpredictable manner and can invade, metastasize, and recur without detection. Observable features such as pagetoid melanocytosis, highest epidermal strata occupied by pagetoid melanocytes, largest melanocytic nest present (LNS), smallest melanocytic nest present (SNS), and the LNS:SNS ratio may aid in predicting a melanocytic malignancy’s behavior by providing clues regarding whether a lesion has a propensity to invade, and possibly even how deep the lesion may invade. This single institutional study follows 36 patients and examines 37 formalin-fixed paraffin-embedded tissue specimens mounted on glass slides and stained with Hematoxylin and Eosin. The study investigates numerous factors that may provide clues to the diagnostician and clinician regarding a specific malignant melanocytic lesion’s behavior.
The Vogt-Koyanagi-Harada syndrome (VKH) is a bilateral, severe granulomatous uveitis associated with serous retinal detachment, papillary edema and extra-ocular manifestations. Uveitis in children accounts for 5 to 10% of all uveitis cases; the VKH is rarely described in the children population. The diagnosis of this condition can be very challenging; especially if clinical diagnosis criteria are not being met at the onset of this affection. The visual prognosis is mostly good if the treatment is early started.

Knowing the potential site of infection, whether the infection is uncomplicated or complicated, re-infection or relapse, or treatment failure and its pathogenesis and risk factors, is mandatory for improved management and prognosis.
