Globalisation has made intercultural communication more central to higher education, while also exposing how symbolic hierarchies influence participation, voice, and access to knowledge. This systematic review examines how Hofstede's power distance dimension operates across three communicative pathways: student-student, student-teacher, and teacher-student. The review followed PRISMA reporting principles and identified 20 peer-reviewed studies published between 2019 and 2024 in Scopus and Web of Science; these studies were then analysed through thematic coding in NVivo. The findings show that peer interaction can foster empathy, dialogue, and intercultural competence, although language barriers and stereotypes remain significant constraints. Upward communication is comparatively underexplored and often limited by reluctance to challenge authority. Teacher-student relations continue to reflect transmissive patterns, although participatory pedagogies and digital tools may reduce power asymmetries. The review proposes a three-pathway analytical framework that integrates fragmented evidence and highlights the need for institutional strategies that advance communicative equity in multicultural university settings.
Fluency in speaking is a problem foreign language learner at all proficiency levels experience. To help learners cope with this problem research-proven techniques may be helpful. The learners were given practice opportunities using the technique at two proficiency levels. Data were collected to determine the extent of fluency development in speaking and analysed using the number of words used by the learners per minute, the number of hesitations, repetitions, and false starts per 100 words, the number of grammar mistakes, and the use of more complex sentences in the talks of the learners. The results showed that improvements were observed in all criteria, which meant that the learners had made progress in terms of fluency, accuracy, and control of the content of their talks.
Why do some MBA teams achieve highly effective and creative outcomes on a complex consulting project while other teams' performance is less impressive? Based on the team input-process-output paradigm and social network theory, we present a model of team creativity and effectiveness for a specific type of team project, whereby three inputs (team task commitment, team relational commitment, and team design) predict the degree to which teams achieve two outcomes: creativity and effectiveness. Based on data from 319 MBA consulting teams, we found that all three team inputs enhance team creativity and effectiveness. In addition, five team processes (team work inclusion, team social inclusion, team management and organising, team intra-network, and team extra-network) mediated the relationship between inputs and outcomes.

This work aims to assess the teachers' preparedness on technological use and availability of resources. To a questionnaire was administered to the teachers engaged in higher education and their demographic details that include age, teaching label, locality of residence, etc. were collected. Collected variables were categorised into 'control variables' and 'outcome' and the relationship between them had been established. Outcomes generated by the correlation method were validated with the help of machine learning algorithms. The result indicated the degree of relationship between 'control variables' and the 'outcome'. Teachers relatively young and fall in the age group of 25-35 years have emerged as major users of ICT-based pedagogy. Upon observing the subjects, few subjects have demonstrated the higher usage of ICT tools relative to others. The proposed method will be immensely helpful for the administrators and policymakers to determine the gap and formulate the policies to further strengthen ICT-based learning.
Collaborative lesson planning has been demonstrated to enhance teachers' curricular knowledge, pedagogical content knowledge, and contextual understanding of both school environments and learners (Zeng and Day, 2019). This study investigated the professional learning experiences of 34 Taiwanese elementary school English teachers engaged in collaborative lesson planning during a summer intensive program. Through a descriptive analysis of pre-and post-test data, alongside thematic analysis of interviews, peer feedback, and lesson plans, two key findings emerged. Firstly, collaborative lesson planning was found to significantly support participants' development of curriculum knowledge and pedagogical strategies tailored to contextualised language instruction. Furthermore, effective teamwork during the collaborative planning process was attributed to participants' active sharing of ideas, constructive discussions, equitable task distribution, and mutual respect. Based on these findings, some recommendations are proposed to facilitate the successful implementation of collaborative lesson planning among elementary school English teachers.
Leveraging product innovation capability (PIC) provides companies with a competitive edge in the marketplace. In addition, attention to business orientation (BO) and knowledge creation (KC) plays a critical role in organisational development. This study explores a conceptual model in which BO and KC act as antecedents of PIC, and subsequently evaluates the impact of PIC on the performance of sport companies. A 20-item questionnaire was administered to a sample of 58 sport companies operating in Iran. The findings reveal that both business orientation and knowledge creation significantly contribute to product innovation. Furthermore, BO, KC, and PIC were found to have a notable influence on the overall performance of sport companies. Given the growing intensity of competition within the sports industry, prioritising business orientation, fostering knowledge creation, and enhancing innovation capabilities are crucial strategic concerns for sport company managers. As existing research on these interrelated factors remains limited, the present study offers valuable insights for scholars and practitioners aiming to improve performance outcomes in the sports sector.
Almost all kinds of industries accepted and adopted organisational learning to improve the performance of individual employees, groups of employees (teams) and the organisation as a whole. Knowledge acquired through observation, learning and experience can contribute to gain skills required to perform a given job or task. Knowledge management can optimise the collection, retrieval and application of useful knowledge. Organisational learning represents learning at three levels - individual, group and organisation. It is composed of several components like collaboration and team learning and performance management. This paper is intended to examine the organisational learning happening and the knowledge management procedures being adopted and their relationship in software firms in India. The research used a questionnaire adopted from DLOQ and KM tool and collected data from the employees working at different levels in various software companies, especially in South India. The results derived from structural equation modelling, suggest that performance management, followed by collaboration and team learning, contributes well to knowledge management, by ruling out the contribution of other components of organisation learning.
This study examines the effect of organisational learning capability on organisational innovation through the mediating role of job satisfaction in the pharmaceutical firms operating in Jordan. Data were collected from 14 pharmaceutical firms through a survey among employees, supervisors, and managers. 361 valid questionnaires were returned and analysed by using the Statistical Package for Social Sciences (SPSS) software and the analysis of moment structure (AMOS). The findings revealed that organisational learning capability has a significant influence on job satisfaction and organisational innovation, namely, experimentation, interaction with the external environment, and risk have a significant effect on organisational innovation, whereas dialogue had no contribution. Job satisfaction has a positive contribution to organisational innovation. Furthermore, job satisfaction exerted a partially mediating role in the relationship between organisational learning capabilities on organisational innovation. This study demonstrates that being a learning organisation while also improving employee job satisfaction will facilitate organisational innovation.

The appearance of the coronavirus disease 2019 has had effects on different levels. Many people were forced to confine themselves to their homes and the suspension of classroom teaching involved the transformation of higher education. Professors had to adapt to the new situation, make use of certain virtual teaching tools, resort to certain remote assessment systems and carry out their teaching work together with their family and domestic responsibilities, which were enhanced by the pandemic. However, the use of new technologies was not homogeneous for different social groups because certain sectors of the population did not have the appropriate tools (information technology and techniques), in addition to the fact that they did not have suitable housing or residential spaces. This scenario has provided an opportunity to reduce inequalities with respect to digital skills.
