This article updates and revitalizes the classical concept of organizational equilibrium. First, different equilibrium theories are compared based on a substantial literature review. Second, equilibrium is re-defined through the development of a model comprising 1. internal and 2. external equilibrium dimensions. The construction process and the factors that influence it are described.
For successful implementation of sustainability in industry, robust assessments of products and processes are necessary that quantify environmental aspects under consideration of costs. Challenges exist as sustainability needs vary greatly according to region, sector and experience level.
This qualitative study explores consumers’ understanding of sustainability in the food sector. The paper identifies different mental structures of the concept (nominal, ordinal, cluster, hierarchy) and taps into the underlying motivation and goals driving evaluations of sustainability.

The sphere of Consumer Social Responsibilty is of particular relevance considering the increasing environmental problems connected to consumers’ irresponsibility. Nevertheless, even responsible consumers often show a high divergence between attitude and behaviour regarding responsible consumption, the so-called Attitude-Behaviour-Gap. In this context, this article aims to advance the understanding of the social responsibility of consumers and the related Attitude-Behaviour Gap with its influencing factors. The review serves as the basis for a single source, cross-sectional survey which aims to assess the Attitude-Behaviour Gap affecting plastic bag consumption. The study reveals the existence of the gap and a statistically significant impact of various influencing factors. Based on the theoretical and empirical context, it can be concluded that the gap between attitudes towards sustainability and unsustainable behaviour is a crucial and complex area of research, which suggests the need for further and more extensive study.

Starting with the publication of Carl von Carlowitz's cutting-edge book "Sylvicultura Oeconomica" in 1713, the first comprehensive treatise on sustainability management, sustainability has a long tradition as a paradigm in Germany. As a responsible manager for the mines in Saxony, von Carlowitz realized that consuming the natural environment by burning wood to produce energy to be used in the mines might be of short-term economic benefit. But in the medium-or even long-term, the ecological sources for creating economic wealth are lost.Even in the short-term there was competition regarding use, i.e. either burning the wood or using it to stabilize the mines.Furthermore, people would lose their jobs, even if there was enough ore, and unemployment caused poverty and social tensions. Therefore, he established rules on how to use the natural environment in a responsible manner. He set the target that companies should only cut as much wood as could regrow in the forest in order to allow a continuous use of the wood: "...
A self-evaluation tool for green procurement, which was developed in research projects, stimulates and thereby enhances the research’s impact beyond academia. Its application to Indian Railways raised awareness through surveys and workshops, facilitated the establishment of organizational structures, and by these means advanced the organization’s sustainable management. The Sustainable Purchasing Leadership Council recognized this commitment of Sanjay Kumar with the Individual Leadership Award 2017.

Sinne eher unwahrscheinlich macht.
