Blockchain has received a lot of attention for multiple use cases and applications since the first works emerged about 15 years ago, with its use targeting cryptocurrencies. During this period, a wide variety of platforms (e.g. Ethereum, Hyperledger, and others web3 Blockchain platforms), tools, programming languages and other resources such as smart contracts were proposed. With the aim of better understanding the use of smart contracts in Blockchain-based systems, this article presents a systematic review of the literature on Blockchain application architectures that make use of smart contracts, applied in different areas. It is expected to bring together approaches for the design and implementation of smart contracts on the Blockchain.
Blockchain is a Distributed Ledger Technology (DLT) which supports cryptocurrencies, Decentralized finance (DeFi) is a blockchain-based financial infrastructure, the term generally refers to an open, permissionless, and highly interoperable protocol stack built on public smart contract platforms, such as the Ethereum blockchain. DeFi does not rely on intermediaries and centralized institutions. Instead, it is based on open protocols and decentralized applications (Dapps). Considering that there are many digital coins, stablecoins and recently the advent of central bank digital currencies (CBDCs by Central Banks) and tokenized assets it is important to observe that these protocols may interact among themselves. These IT protocols interactions may be complex and there should be effective IT governance frameworks to guide points like interoperability and interconvertibility of digital assets based on DLTs protocols. IT governance framework based on these technologies is still a challenge in the literature. Considering these points, this paper seeks to explore literature through a Systematic Literature Review methodology in order to find the state of the art about this theme. Results show that Literature explore DLT governance as a whole, including information technology (IT) aspects. However, there is a lack in the literature about IT governance for interoperability and interconvertibility among complex DLT protocols interactions. Discussions, future research, limiting factors and conclusions are fully stated. Keywords: Distributed Ledger Technology (DLT), IT Governance, Central Bank Digital Currency (CBDC), Tokenization, Decentralized Finance (DeFi).

The need to integrate eXtensible Business Reporting Language (XBRL) technology with data storage technologies is growing continuously. The growth in the use of eXtensible Business Reporting Language (XBRL) technology in the context of financial reporting on the internet has occurred due to its advantages and benefits or due to government impositions e.g. the Brazilian Public Sector Accounting and Tax Information System – Siconfi, which requires the delivery of accounting and financial information from the Federated States and Municipalities in XBRL. The growth in use has increased the need for solutions that allow the easy use of the language, in order to generate XBRL instances with the organization's data stored in relational databases, NoSQL or even in CSV files. This work proposes an open-source Extract, Transform and Load (ETL) conceptual solution planned in two stages of execution in order to facilitate maintenance, evolutions and the possibility of extension to understand the most diverse taxonomies XBRL

Over the past years, the ubiquity and versatility of cloud-based payment systems (CBPS) have become an evolutionary path in the payment process. However, despite is undeniable the various advantages of using the CPBS, compared to other countries the adoption rates are still very low in Australia. This suggests that people might not know the benefits of using them or they might not be satisfied with the current payment systems. In this context, the purpose of this research was to examine the impact of security and service quality on the factors (perceived usefulness, perceived ease of use, trust and price value) that have influence on users’ satisfaction in cloud-based payment systems in Australia. Qualtrics was used to gather the data of 411 respondents to an online questionnaire survey. After that, the PLS-SEM (Partial Least Square Structural Equation Modeling) analysis took place. The findings suggest that security, service quality, trust, perceived usefulness, and price value have impact on user satisfaction and this, in turn, affects CBPS adoption. Perceived ease of use has no influence on user satisfaction, and therefore, it has no impact on CBPS adoption. Besides, it was found that, overall, demographics have no impact on user satisfaction in CBPS.

Efforts to implement the concept of massive online learning, or Massive Open Online Courses (MOOCs), began in Malaysia in 2013. The e-learning system based on the MOOCs concept used in Malaysia is the Open Learning (OL) system. The pedagogy of the e-learning system with the MOOCs concept differs from traditional e-learning systems because students are more independent in their learning, given the very large lecturer-student ratio, which necessitates students to master independent learning strategies. Some studies report a high dropout rate in the use of e-learning systems based on the MOOCs concept, especially towards the end of the course. As the user population of MOOCs-based e-learning systems are heterogeneous and individuals enroll with different intentions, motivation plays a crucial role in determining how students engage with such e-learning systems. Additionally, prior studies indicate that self-regulation is not a fixed trait but can be influenced during the learning process and can be cultivated through appropriate learning strategies. Therefore, this study was conducted to discuss expert validation of motivational factors and learning strategies that impact students' academic achievement when using the OL system. The factors examined include 1) Time and learning environment; 2) Metacognitive self-regulation; 3) Critical thinking; and 4) Extrinsic goal orientation. Overall, experts responded positively to the mentioned factors. However, there are improvements needed to ensure that these factors can be comprehended and implemented effectively, while also having a positive impact on students and their academic achievements.

Gesture recognition technology has become increasingly popular in various fields due to its potential for controlling consumer devices, robotics, and even translating sign language. However, there is still a lack of practical applications in daily life, especially for consumer products. Previous studies primarily focused on gesture recognition and did not delve into exploring the potential applications of gesture recognition in human interaction. This work aims to address this gap by deploying a gesture recognition model into practical applications and exploring its potential in human interaction. The proposed model combines the use of 3D convolutional neural networks (3DCNN) and long-short-term-memory networks (LSTM) for spatiotemporal feature learning. Six common interactive dashboard gestures were extracted from the 20BN-Jester dataset to train the model. The validation accuracy reached 80.47% after ablation studies. Then, two test cases were conducted to evaluate the effectiveness of the model in controlling Spotify and the Artificial Intelligence of Things (AIoT) smart classroom. The response time for each recognition was approximately 100 to 150 milliseconds. The proposed research aims to develop a simple yet efficient model for hand gesture recognition, which has the potential to be applied in various fields beyond just music and smart classrooms. With the growing popularity of gesture recognition technology, this study contributes to the advancement of practical applications and product innovations that can be integrated into daily life, thereby making it more accessible to the general public.
