
By retrospectively summarizing their experience in caring 348 patients receiving coronary angiography or percutaneoius cornonary intervention (PCI) using a suture-medicated closure device (Perclose), the authors conclude that talking with patients and performance of noticing system are beneficial for relief of mental pressure and one of the success rate in operation is active cooperation at operation, postoperative close observation of patients conditions, and instructions of activities.
Objective To investigate the elderly health conditions in the community and explore the standard nursing service system suitable for the conditions in China.Methods ADL,MMSE,and DSI provided by Illinois University in Chicago was used to screen the problems and a questionnaire designed pertinent to the problems was used to investigate 510 over-65-year-old patients in the survey,with the scores worked out.Those with higher scores than a set threshold were identified as high risky condition.Results Among the 510 elderly people,morbidity rate chronic diseases was 70.2%,the rate of non-functional disorder 65.7%.20.2%,11.7% and 2.4% of them had their ability of life lowered respectively to a slight,middle and severe extent.The ability to take public transports was weakened very soon,with decrease rate of 33.2%,followed by ability for shopping and walking up or down stairs,with rates of 19.9% and 16.1% respectively.92.0% of them were good in recognition,but 6.5% had recognition slightly damaged and 1.5% had severely.22.9% of them suffered from melancholia.The need for the community service was strong with a rate of 28.0% and 27.0% of them chose individual instruction and explanation.Conclusion According to the elderly health conditions,the nursing service system in the community should cover the following: early finding of patients,individual nursing,educational intervention,supporting service system and evaluation of healthy life,for the purpose of increase of self-dependence,prevention of avoidable decrease of health and increase of quality of life.
The service of taking patients as a center and meeting their needs in a full scale is the kernel of ISO9001, JCI and hospital class appraisals in m odern hospital management. Therefore, rapid and consistent service for patients is vital in the hospital's medical activities of ensuring health and saving live s. The author advances that hospitals provide the patients with rapid and proper service on the basis of accordance of their needs and the aim and service conte nts of hospitals. Hospitals should design and enforce the flow sheet to provide them with consistent service and mediate the work among doctors and nurses. Besi des, hospitals should provide patients with service of discharge, transfer, and follow-up.
The paper analyzed the common causes and clinical features of aged diabetes patient'ss hypoglycemia. Main reasons of hypoglycemia included infection, decrease of eating, overdose of medicine of controlling blood glucose or taking medicine which affects blood sugar. All cases had neural symptoms and physical signs, such as clumsy of reaction, restlessness and conscious disturbance and so on. All patients recovered after being given glucose. The authors argue that according to its feature, aged diabetes patient'ss hypoglycemia should be diagnosed and treated as soon as possible.
In order to investigate the measures and effects of nursing of early stage burned children complicated with convulsion, the author analyzed and reviewed the nursing of 12 pediatric burn cases hospitalized from June, 2001 to May, 2004. The author argued: through correct early emergent rescuing, setting up effective vein access, giving accurate medicines, eliminating inducement and monitoring strictly the sate of the illness, the convulsion could be effectively controlled. Through positive and effective treatment, no complication occurred in all cases of this group; and according to one-year follow-up, no sequela occurred. The paper held that correct nursing countermeasure played significant role in treating early stage burned children complicated with convulsion.
Objective To probe into the curative effect of yellow-water gauze in the treatment of exosmosis-induced injuries. Meth-Ods One hundred and twenty patients undergoing venous transfusion were randomized into two groups: treatment group and control group, yellow-water gauze was applied in the former group and 50% magnesium sulfate in the latler group to treat exosmosis-indueed injuries. The curative effects between the two groups were compared. Results For the exosmosis of the same medicine, the curative effect in the treatment group was better than those in the control group, with significant difference (P<0.05). Conclusion yellow-water gauze is effective in treating exosmosis-induced injuries, due to its quickness in eliminating swelling and relieving pains, no stimulus and a comfort feeling.
The paper summarized emergency rescue and nursing of 72 patients drown in sea water before hospitalization. The rescue success rate of patients drown in sea water can be improved by keeping air way open on the scene, cleaning sand, grass and vomit from patient'ss mouth and nasal cavity, removing water, using 706 plasm or dextran instead of saline which causes the condensation of blood, good psychological nursing on the spot and emphasizing the combined injury caused by wave'ss striking and transportation transfer emergency nursing.
Objective To investigate the status of professional affection of nurses in Guangzhou and the related factors. Methods With the adoption of convenient sampling and questionnaires, nurses who have worked for more than one year in the hospitals at every level in Guangzhou were selected as the subject for this study. Results 87.7% of nurses had positive professional affection, with the exhibition of devotion to the nursing major, strong sense of responsibility of job, less determination of changing a job. However, most of them sensed lower social status. With the multiple stepwise regression analysis, nurses' professional affection was positively regressive with their family' s support, serving years, position according to their ability, while negatively regressive with the enrollment willing and degree. Conclusion Nursing managers and educators should take effective measures to enhance nurses' professional af fection.
The authors reported their experience in caring 4 patients with abdom inal multi-organ transplantation, concluding they strengthened the observation o ver allograft function and rejection, and care of the complications, especially care of hemorrhage, vascular embolism of transplanted pancreas and prevention of secondary infections. As a result, all were discharged, recovered. The follow-u p of 36, 30, 15 and 13 months respectively showed the allograf function was norm al and their quality of life were notably raised.
The authors analyzed the experience of nursing 67 children who underwent bi-directional Glenn procedure. The authors put forward some nursing points, including: keeping posture of upper body risen to 30°, setting parameter of respirator properly, paying attention to monitoring respiratory situation, paying attention to postoperative sedation, inhalation of nitric oxidice for the patients with high pressure of super vena cava, careful nursing for airway, keeping airway clear, monitoring pressure of super vena cava properly, insuring chest drainage tube unblocked, and emphasizing neural and mental care.
In hospitals, a complete set of managing mechanism forms a solid ground for rescuing victims of sudden accident. Experience of foreign country was used for reference in order to perfect and establish suitable managing system to deal with an emergency. The management dealing with sudden accidents in foreign hospitals covered:(1)having completed information network and standardizing positions for personnel are the basis guarantee for dealing with emergency;(2)systematic and standardized continuing education and enhancing the professional quality continuously are the key to improve the ability of dealing with emergency;(3)stressing on the fostering and training of team with high efficiency is the basic guarantee. When sudden accidents occur, a rescuing team, which is sent to save patients' lives, is not only the premier condition for a formal medical system but also the kernel in hospital management.
The author summarized the experience in nursing patients with laryngeal pharynx carcinoma undergoing larynx function-protecting surgery, arguing that preoperative mental care, adjustment of whole-body condition, postoperative nutritious support, sustain of balance of water, electrolure and acid-base, prevention of such complications like infections in cuts and pulmonary infection, prevention of bleeding in cuts, pharyngeal fistula can ensure the experctation of operation. Clinically, 19 patients were all recovered to their dieting and linguistic function due to close cooperation from doctors, nurses and the patients.
Objective To investigate the effectiveness of ice compress on perineum swelling and pain after delivery. Methods According to the time sequence, 100 lying-in women were randomly divided into two groups: experiment group and control group. The former one received perineum ice compress within two days after delivery on the basis of routine treatment, while the latter received routine treatment. Results The degrees of swelling and pain of experiment group were obviously lower than those of control group. Moreover, with the increased times of ice compress, the effectiveness was better. Conclusion Perineum ice compress is a good method to release perineum swelling and pain after delivery.

The authors assessed the mental status in 21 children undergoing in vivo liver transplantation, holding the children were liable to such mental abnormalities like stress, fear, anxiety, fear of pains, suspicion, hostility, depression. Pertinent nursing countermeasures included: preoperative visit, enhanced communication with them using psychological theory, establishment of good nurse-patient relation, timely understanding of their mentality, timely relief of postoperative pains and discomfort, conduct of appreciation education, full exertion of family's supporting role, improvement of ICU environment to help them overcome the mental abnormalities. They pointed out individualized and pertinent nursing intervention is able to enhance the children's adaptability to ICU environment and operative stress ultimately to promote their mental and physical health.
To analyze the factors influencing the monitoring results by monitoring SpO2 of 106 patients in ICU with the multifunction monitoring apparatus of PHILIP. The main factors were: the excursion of fingertip's place, having not enough oxygen, unsealed oxygen equipment, leaks in pipe of respirator, not good connection between the module and the mainframe, and so on. The countermeasures of nursing intervention are: adjusting fingertip's place, checking oxygen equipment, sealing the leaks in pipes of respirator, and making the module and the mainframe well connected.
The author reported her experience in caring 48 patients with arteriosclerotic emphraxis in lower extremities treated by bypass graft of great saphenous vein and PTFE blood vessel, summing up the major nursing measures include preoperative mental care, postoperative observation and care of the extremities, care of transplanted artificial blood vessel, nursing care during use of anticoagulants and instructions at discharge, all of which are key peri-operatively.
Objective To evaluate the effects of melodiotherapy in the treatment of epidemic encephalitis B children. Methods Forty-six epidemic encephalitis B children were randomized into the treatment group and the control one: the latter treated with routine therapy and the former treated with medodiotherapy besides routine therapy. The curative effects between the groups were recorded and compared statistically. Results The curative effect in the treatment group was significantly superior to the control one(P0.01). Conclusion Melodiotherapy is effective in the treatment of epidemic encephalitis B children, worth publication.
With the form of handbook, conversation, imitation and picture, health education was carried out three times in relatives of 354 newborns from Newborn Emergency and Care Center, when newborns entered into hospital, during hospitalization and when leaving hospital. Questionnaire was adopted in this paper to collect relatives' attitude towards health education. Accounting for 94.6%, 335 relatives were satisfied with treatment and nursing in department of neonatology and health education. Accounting for 5.4%, 19 relatives were not satisfied with health education and they thought professional knowledge and conservative skills of nursing persons needed to be improved. A satisfying health education is crucial for the reduction of medical dispute.
