Imla’i Mushaf is one of the Quranic version written based on the standard Arabic writing. It is also known as Rasm Imla’i or Rasm Qiyasi. The structure of the Quranic rasm (orthography) and its dabt (conventional signs determining the proper pronunciation of Qur’an) in Imla’i Mushaf is different from the Uthmani Mushaf due to several factors such as the addition of the letters (ziyadah), exchanges of letters (badl) and some others. These differences to some extent led to some confusion and mistakes in the readings of the Quran. This article therefore will discuss some implication that arise as a result of using imla’i mushaf in reading the Quran and some consequences to Muslim communities as a whole. Using content analysis method, the study

This study aims to highlight the potential of practicing teaching Arabic as a second language by using ‘keyword’ method in non-Arabs environment. In addition, it is also an attempt to prove the effectiveness in teaching Arabic at a school in Malaysia, explaining its usage in class, in a simple and gradual manner. Thus, it helps the readers who have basic knowledge of the Arabic language, as well as teachers and students who put their effort in learning Arabic. In short, this study can benefit many people, among those are the Arabic language teachers and those who experienced from poor performance in learning the Arabic language. The most important is the relations of this method to the acquisition of Arabic vocabulary, in remembering words that have been learned and applying it within the necessary occasion.
The transfer of knowledge pertaining to government is central to the success of e-government websites. The purpose of this paper is to investigate how Australian government website providers perceive critical success factors (CSFs) for the transfer of knowledge from government to users (citizens, business entities, employees and other government agencies) via an Australian government education website.CSFs are defined as "the limited number of areas in which results, if satisfactory, will ensure successful competitive performance for the organization" (Rockart 1979, p. 5) and knowledge transfer (KT) is defined as a process that includes "any exchange of knowledge between or among individuals, teams, groups or organizations" (King 2006, p. 538).It is the process by which knowledge is transmitted to, and absorbed by, users.Knowledge in this research is scoped to include government knowledge resources (information and services) made explicit and available to users via government websites. The research is exploratory, applying content analysis to analyse qualitative data that were collected using interview and focus group techniques.Szulanski's knowledge transfer (KT) four stages model was adapted as a lens to study CSFs.Eleven CSFs are identified, grouped into six themes, and associated with the four KT stages. The research provides guidance to practitioners, arguing that identifying and understanding the CSFs can support government website providers in taking decisions related to the internal operation of their website's content development and delivery activities, thus enhancing their capacity to deliver requisite knowledge to website users.
Baby dumping has become a serious phenomenon in Malaysia. The fact that newborn babies are dumped at the most inappropriate places such as toilets and junkyards is such a heinous crime. Despite various steps taken by the government and the society at large, the statistics of baby dumping is escalating. This should not happen in a country which upholds an image of a Muslim nation. This research will not only discuss the literature review with regards to the issue of baby dumping in Malaysia, but shall also provide an overview of an alternative solution to curb this problem which is known as the baby hatch. Opinions from the NGO (such as OrphanCARE Foundation) and the judiciary are referred to in order to find the best possible method to overcome baby dumping in Malaysia. This is an alternative to the legal procedure which falls under the Penal Code and other related Acts. Comparisons are needed to seek the best possible way for a solution of baby dumping and to understand the perceptions of the particularly well-informed segment of society on this alternative solution to baby dumping - baby hatch.

Islamic Studies is a subject taught at all the levels of formal education today without prejudice to religious background, belief inclinations or geographical boundries. Its study concentrates on the teaching of some subjects like religious studies in addition to other secular subjects like Languages, Law, Mathematics, Science, History, Philosophy etc. This subject has religious and secular topics in its curriculum content. However in the recent times, the number of students studying this subject in the universities has contniued to decrease across the globe and particularly in Nigeria. This decrease has been a sort of concern to teachers teaching the subject, concerned Muslims and Islamic lecturers in the universities whose jobs are being threatened for lack of students to enroll for the subject in the universities. This study therefore attempted to look into the reasons why students do no longer wish to study the subject in the universities. It was observed that students these days would want to study a course which would gaurantee them future job security and incomes. This study confirmed that Islamic Studies might not be able to guarantee this presently because of the content of the curriculum in use. The study concentrated on lecturers who had been in service for over a decade and analysis of the findings further confirmed that the present curriculum of Islamic Studies needed to be synergized to accommodate practical oriented skills, computer appreciation and Islamic financial courses to make Islamic Studies adequate and worthwhile for study to sustain its tomorrow’s future. This would make the subject more attractive and enable the students acquire practical skills which would make them function more effectively in the society without jeopardising their religious beliefs and practices.
Some of the problems found in the translation of the meaning of the Holy Qur’an cause a word or verse of Qur’an to not be translated accurately. The major factor contributing to the problem is the limited skills in the fields related to the Qur’an. Therefore revaluation of the existing translations of the Qur’an become a necessity in view of the Qur’an is a miracle that lasted until the end of time. This study aims to review the translation of the meaning of the words Al-Muzn dan yasbahun based on the scientific exegesis. Using library research methodology, the study was conducted by analyzing the translation of the meaning of the Holy Qur’an (Tafsir Pimpinan ar-Rahman dan Terjemahan al-Hidayah al-Quran al-Karim) regarding the creation of the sky focused on rainfall and the movement of objects in the sky by scientific exegesis. Analysis of the samples showed that the existing translations of the Qur’an didn’t make difference for some words related to the rainfall and make exegesis for word yasbahun related to movement of objects in the sky. Results showed that the value addition is applied to the existing translations of the meaning of Qur’anic verses related to the creation of the sky; the specialization of the general translation of the meaning of the word Al-Muzn and the use of the translation of the original meaning for the word yasbahun without exegesis in the sky creation.

Plants are elements that are frequently mentioned in the al-Quran. In the al-Quran, the use of plant elements can be visualized from various language styles and one of them is the al-Tasybih style. Al-Tasybih style is one of the metaphor and simile used in the al-Quran to deliver the message to the people. In addition, al-Tasybih also displays the beauty and refinement of al-Quran and found to be one of the miracle in al-Quran. Some of the information contained in the al-Quran deals with the description of the unseen things that cannot be reached by the human mind. The al-Tasybih style helps to overcome the limitation of the human brain to interpret and perfectly understand the information presented in the al-Quran. This was done by establishing a relationship between the unseen elements discussed in al-Quran with real human nature. The focus of this research is to study discourse analysis and al-Balaghat al-‘Arabiyyat on plant elements using the al-Tasybih style in al-Quran. The data was collected qualitatively using two different methods, the historical method and the documentary method. Both methods are carried out using two different approaches, the library research. Al-Tasybih style is anticipated to give a clear understanding of the al-Quran content and prove that the al-Quran is a divine revelation from Allah SWT and not a mere creation by Prophet Muhammad SAW.
This article studies the middle figure’s vowel of non-affix trilateral verb in its present tense form from one chapter only which is “fa’ala”. It exposes and discusses the views of ancient grammarians and new and contemporary linguists regarding the issue. It also tests some ancient theories which arose in attempt to determine the vowel of the figure. The source of verbs that the researcher depends on in his study is “Mu’jam al-Wasit”, a trusted modern dictionary, to match his interest in studying the contemporary Arabic Language. The researcher has statistically counted those verbs from the respected dictionary and categorized them according to their middle figure to look at every figure that occupies that middle position, and to determine its tendency toward any of three vowels (fathah or kasrah or dhammah) when located together with other figure after him. The researcher also has proven and recognized some of ancient theories which should not be neglected in teaching morphology particularly to non-native speaker of Arabic, and was able to determine the tendency of every figure that occupies the middle position toward any of the two vowels for those which their middle figure is not throat’s letter. Based on that, he suggested some morphological bases to determine the vowel of that middle figure.
The main idea behind practising Modern Standard Arabic (MSA) is to standardise the use of the Arabic language in all Arab countries, especially in official communication, be it written or spoken. This is due to their belief that language is one of the important elements contributing to their unity and sense of brotherhood as they are separated by different legitimate territories. This effort has more or less succeeded in uniting them in certain aspects. In reality, however, the writer has found that the practice has yet to ensure the standardisation of the Arabic language, particularly in terms of word usage style among countries. Taking news articles as data, this paper aims to highlight the differences that occur in word usage in seven Arabic newspapers from different countries, with a corpus of around 85,000 words from the World Affairs section. The analysis also includes articles published in two Arabic newspapers from non-Arab countries in order to relate to the role of geography in creating word usage style in publishing. The Wordsmith 5.0 computer programme was applied to the corpus by extracting all words into frequency lists and concordance. The results show that the Arabic newspapers contributed greatly to the creation of word usage variations, specifically in terms of spelling, loan word acceptance, verb transitivity to particle, phrase combination and plural formation.
