
The article investigates the factors affecting a trust in project management. The factors influencing trust in program and project management classified as either a cognitive-based or an affect-based are defined and analyzed in both manufacturing and service sectors based on survey data collected from project managers of various industries and service sectors firms in USA and abroad. The article alalyzes the trust affecting factors in both vertical such as supervisor-subordinate and horisontal such as peer-to-peer type of dependency among project management processes participants. The article follows two prevuiously published articles by author on trust in project management.
Both in the Polish and global economy, many companies are looking for solutions and management methods that, with such high competition, will allow them to adapt to the changing conditions and increasingly demanding customers. Many companies, to meet their expectations, began to improve their processes, moving away from the conventional way of thinking for a new approach, and new management methods. The purpose of this article is to analyze the selected methods of the implemented production system, based on Lean Manufacturing principles, which is still evolving. The leitmotiv of this system is the elimination of all loss-making activities, finding the right solution and using the appropriate tools, as well as involvement of employees. The research was carried out on the case study referring to the corporation, which operates in the sanitary technology sector. The paper attempts to assess the scope of implementation of the individual Lean Manufacturing tools and their importance in the process of eliminating of various types of wastage.
The paper proposes a formal method of determining the modular structure of the computer program by formulating and solution of the corresponding two-criterion optimization problem. A module strength coefficient and a module coupling coefficients were established as modularization criteria of the program. For the illustration of the considerations that have been discussed, a simple numerical example will be presented .
This paper analyzes product characteristics as a factor that affects the activities performed in the logistic channel. The analysis has been conducted for a specific product natural gas and, in particular its two forms: liquefied and compressed. The features of these two forms are outlined in the context of fuel distribution to end-users. This study aims to structure and expand the existing knowledge about alternative distribution of natural gas to the end users based on an analysis of literary sources and regulations on its carriage by road and rail transport. A comparative analysis of the product characteristics of liquefied and compressed natural gas has been carried out and some basic features concerning logistics activities and logistics costs have been outlined. The environmental pressures and accompanying market trends require chain managers to reorient their approach to chain construction and management. New business models are gaining popularity, but interesting from a research point of view is whether organizations are aware of the greening of the environment in which pro-environmental aspects are implemented, or whether there is a difference between the assessment of supply chain performance depending on the extent of the environmental aspects being implemented. The results of the research indicate that there is a gap in both research and practical aspects. The difficulty is ignorance of how the chain can be assessed, in terms of its greening, often the awareness of the importance of problems is not used in relation to the environment. It is important to pursue further research in this area and implement solutions to economic practice, since only in this way will environmental aspects really change the supply chain. Innovation is regarded as one of the main sources of competitive advantage in the market. However, in spite of these tendencies, Polish companies are still considered to be too little innovative for other European countries or for the world. Companies in the TSL industry (transport-forwardinglogistic) are also in the trend. About their innovativeness speaks little, but at the same time available data show that the industry is not very innovative. One approach that is mentioned as a solution that can help reduce the barriers to innovation in the TSL industry is to work with other companies. This cooperation can take different forms. Cluster structures are also mentioned. Clusters include, inter alia, the possibilities of knowledge transfer, technology transfer, achieving synergy effect and, as a consequence, the joint development of innovation. Referring to the presented problem of innovation, its low level, especially considering the TSL industry and cooperation aimed at creating new solutions as the aim of the article, is to show the role of clusters as a chosen form of cooperation between enterprises in creating innovations in the TSL industry. This study focuses on aspects related to green supply chain management, including the level of supply chain integration and the effect of implementation of pro-environmental activities carried out among vertically integrated entities. The subject of the research were Polish manufacturing enterprises. Based on the obtained results, it has been proved that a higher level of integration in the supply chain leads to higher pro-environmental results obtained for the surveyed enterprises, co-operators in the supply chain and the further and closer environment of the enterprise, including the natural environment itself. As part of the conducted research, it was also determined that the main beneficiaries of the benefits resulting from the implementation of pro-environmental activities are internal stakeholders.
