In this paper,we used the method of SWOT-PEST to analyze the development of sports industry in our country.The advantage of sports industry development in China is that people's living standard improves to make the proportion of sports consumption increased and the sports industry infrastructure developed rapidly.The inferior was that sports industry structure remained optimization and upgrading.Although in some region sports industry had formed industry cluster,it lacked the ability to scientific innovation.Law in sports industry was imperfect,the regulation and control mechanism had not formed yet.Consciousness of sports industry was faint,the managerial talent is deficient.We will face a good opportunity when Beijing holds Olympic Game in 2008,the entering of WTO and the good economical environment.The threat was the challenge from the developed countries and the disparity with the developed country,the management of sport industry and the preparation for the period that after Olympic Game.In the final some suggestions on the development of the sports industry in China were proposed.

In order to look for a way of function evaluation for the elite middle distance runner during the pre-competition training,22 elite athletes were tested their BUN index.The result showed that the BUN index is the sensitive index for reflecting training load.The base value of the BUN index is 6.40±0.62mmol/L.The athletic value of the BUN index was remarkable difference between male and female.The base value and the recovery value had no difference.There was no effect of training years on the BUN index in the study;and the authors proposed the evaluating standard for the weekly training load of the elite middle distance runner.In the training,it can be adjusted according to the individual character.
Since the emergence of sport sociology in China in the 1980s,the researchers have made a lot of useful explorations to its subject nature and research objects,which has made great attribution to subject construction and even the development of sport sociology in China.However,as a subject,the history of sport sociology that began to form after the Second World War is still too short to compare with other more mature subjects.Serials of basic questions such as subject theoretical foundation,subject aims,subject nature,research objects,research methods,research fields,research modes,and conceptions are still in the state of exploration and development.This paper is right a further exploration in this sense.
Physical activity has been defined as "any bodily movement produced by skeletal muscles that results in energy expenditure".It is strongly endorsed as a means of staying healthy and an important avenue for social contact.Although in Australia,some studies have been conducted into the levels of physical activity in some ethnic communities,there has been a tendency to adopt a homogeneous view of culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) people rather than an ethno-specific perspective that recognises differing cultural beliefs and practices between and across language groups.This paper reports on a study that aimed to explore the concepts of,and attitudes towards, physical activity among older Hong Kong Chinese Australians resident in NSW.This study involved individual in-depth interviews and the use of open-ended questions.A total of 22 informants was recruited for the study.The findings revealed that most informants did not have a clear idea about what was meant by the term physical activity."Physical activity" tended to be a confusing and complicated term to this group.In addition,attitudes towards physical activity among this group reflect their cultural and health beliefs in preventive health care.To increase the physical activity level among older Hong Kong Chinese Australians,culturally-specific health promotion strategies might be needed to tackle the misconception about and specific attitudes towards physical activity,as well as to match the holistic Chinese oncept of health maintenance.
