Objective: To estimate the prevalence and risk factors of MetS in Jordanian adults with confirmed diagnoses of hypertension. Method: This is a hospital-based cross-sectional study conducted among Jordanian patients with hypertension who were followed at outpatient clinics at King Hussien Medical Center. Metabolic syndrome was diagnosed based on International Diabetes Federation (IDF) criteria. Data on socio-demographic, clinical, and anthropometric characteristics were collected from 336 hypertensive patients from June to October 2023. Descriptive analysis was utilized to assess the prevalence of MetS, and binary logistic regression analysis was used to determine independent risk factors for MetS. Result: The overall prevalence of MetS was 33.6% (33.6% in males and 66.4% in females). Advanced age (OR = 2.006, 95% CI: 1.280 - 2.913), increased waist circumference (OR = 2.864, 95% CI: 1.534 - 4.322), increased systolic blood pressure (OR = 1.073, 95% CI: 1.041 - 1.105), overweight (OR = 5.522, 95% CI: 1.371 - 7.422), and obesity (OR = 7.521, 95% CI: 4.520 - 9.016) were associated factors that increased the risk of Mets (P<0.05). Meanwhile, high physical activity (OR = 0.321, 95% CI: 0.107–0.961) decreased the risk of MetS (P<0.05). Conclusion: One-third of the hypertensive patients had MetS, thus highlighting the necessity of early screening and vigorous treatment of all hypertensive individuals to reduce the occurrence of cardiovascular events.
Budo Village in North Sulawesi stands out as one of the top 50 recipients of the prestigious 2022 Indonesian Tourism Village Award. Notably, Budo is a popular tourist destination with a thriving mangrove area on Minahasa's northern peninsula. The Budo mangrove area has been designated as a tourist attraction since 1994 and garnered increased recognition in 2017, thanks to active promotional efforts aimed at coastal tourist destinations. Surprisingly, despite its transformation into a tourist destination, research has yet to be undertaken to assess the ecological suitability of mangroves in this context or determine the carrying capacity of the mangrove area. This study seeks to delve into the ecological suitability of Budo's mangrove ecological resources and investigate the carrying capacity of the area as a tourist destination. The results of this analysis categorize the Budo mangrove tourist destination as 'unsuitable,' as indicated by an IKW score of 1.5.

The Human Detection project utilizing thermal sensors aims to detect individuals or groups in the surrounding environment and respond accordingly. For instance, it can adjust lighting in a room or on a street to accommodate the presence of an individual instead of illuminating everything. Thermal sensors can also detect the presence of people and cars, making street lighting smart and adapting to the lighting situation accordingly. This technology can save up to 70% of energy costs while maintaining safe streets in high-crime areas and creating room for photovoltaic cells. Accurate occupancy tracking and temperature control are crucial in any organization or society, particularly in crowded places like hospitals or malls. To address this issue, we are introducing a data-driven electronic and sensor-based system that can detect the overall environment's temperature. This system is not a simple machine that gives a single output related to human temperature, but it provides real-time data to detect other parameters for multiple applications.
Artificial Intelligence is about knowing something (having a knowledge) and then using that knowledge to do something with that knowledge [1]. This is demonstrated by algorithms in machine learning and data mining [1].
This paper examines the neutrality principle of the WTO dispute settlement system, which functions as a quasi-judicial body in the settlement of international trade disputes. Given the system's resemblance to traditional courts, its effectiveness in ensuring justice hinges on its adherence to neutrality, ensuring fairness, impartiality, and the rule of law. Recent developments, such as the United States obstruction of the Appellate Body, underscore the tension between maintaining neutrality and addressing external pressures that may compromise this foundational principle. This study analyzes the complexities of the neutrality dynamic in the WTO dispute settlement mechanism and argues for the organization's imperative to protect neutrality amidst emerging challenges. the method used in this study is juridical normative with historical-descriptive characteristics.
