This article highlight the result of needs assessment studies that evaluates a sustainability based technological approach on combating the crises between cow herders and agricultural farmers, by the use of a monitoring system which involves dual modules technology. Dual modules implies a design that comprises of an off shelf GPS (global positioning system) and GSM (global system for mobile communication) receiver modules. The low cost GPS and GSM modules were chosen for this design due to the inbuilt integrated antenna found in the modules and the output GPS positional data with an enabled standard serial National Marine Electronics Association (NMEA) protocol as well as a standard AT command use in GSM technology. At any moment a quarry in form of a code (@C1) is texted to the SIM number embedded in the SIM card slot of the GSM module, a corresponding response indicating the exact location of the cow in longitude and latitude is transmitted via SMS to the owner’s mobile phone number which was initially programmed (configured) into the microcontroller firmware. The GSM module provided with SIM card uses the same communication protocol and processes of a regular day to day mobile phone technology. The system is configured to be attached on the neck of the animal for easy monitoring and tracking as far as 200m from its exact position at any given time. The article revealed that major herders and farmers issues will be minimize once the movement of domestic animals are monitored to avoid the destruction of lives, farmland and properties. This research provide insight into major community concerns and the Nigerian nation at large.

Habits of mind are important things to be equipped to prospective teachers. In order to be able to solve every problem they face, prospective teachers should be used to have self-regulation, critical thinking, and creative thinking. Therefore, to achieve these objectives, appropriate learning experience and strategies are needed. In this article, an entrepreneurship-oriented 5E (Engagement, Explain, Exploration, Elaboration, and Evaluation) inquiry learning program is developed, it is also called 5E+e. The focus of this article is to investigate the improvement of prospective teachers’ Habits of Mind during horticulture course through the 5E+e inquiry learning program. The quasy experiment method was used in this study with one group pretest-posttest design with the involvement of 31 Biology Education students in one teachers Institution in Central Java on their sixth semester who took the horticulture course. Data were collected using questionnaires and observation sheets in the form of a Habits of Mind rubric adapted from the Marzano’s framework. Data were then analyzed in quantitative and in qualitative descriptive manner from various sources, so as to obtain comprehensive conclusions. Research results show an improvement on the average Habits of Mind score of prospective teachers, where the average score collected before the program was given was at 2.68; and the average score after being given the program was at 3.34 of 4.00 scale. The calculated N-gain is 0.31; which is in the moderate category. The data were supported by the results of observations during the learning process which at each stage shows progress, i.e. stage I (3.11), stage II (3.08), stage III (3.39), and stage IV (3.59). Based on the findings, students can cultivate horticultural crops creatively with a variety of planting techniques, critical when observing plant growth and development, and diligent in maintaining a successful crop cultivation project. Thus, it can be concluded that 5E+e inquiry learning program implemented in horticultural course can greatly improve the Habits of Mind of prospective teachers.

In recent years, several researches indicated that impact of managers’ skills on profit quality. Theoretically, managers’ abilities have the direct impact on profit quality, but the consequences are not same. Based on results of research, managers’ skills can have a direct or indirect link to profit quality. This assay will show a connection between managers’ abilities and the managing of profit quality in Companies listed on the stock exchange in Tehran. The criterion of real profit management, which is identified as three factors, unusual operational cash flow, unusual production costs and Abnormal Optional Expenses which is the ability of managers are part of the company’s performance which is not affected by the substantial factors of the company. By reaching the results of research, through operating cash flows, there is no a valid connection between managers’ ability and managing real profit, therefore a Significant negative relationship between managers’ abilities and managing real profit through cost of abnormal production plus a significant negative relationships between managers’ abilities and managing real profit through abnormal Optional Expenses have been investigated through the research. These finds can be useful for all managers, Participants in the securities market, policymakers and Regulators of the capital market.
This study aimed at finding out the level of effectiveness of the implementation of teaching at PNB viewed from the relatedness of the components of 1) context; 2) input), 3) process, and 4) product. This study used the CIPP (Context, Input, Process, Product) model evaluation method. The data were collected using questionnaire, interview guide, and related documents. The subjects consisted of students, lecturers, and the management sfaff of departments in PNB. The data were analyzed descriptively and qualitatively. The effectiveness in the implementation of the teaching programs was determined by transforming the raw scores into the Z-scores and the T-scores, which were then verified into Glickman’s quadrant prototypes. The result of analysis showed that the effectiveness of the implementation of the teaching program at PNB viewed from the relatedness of context, input, process, and product falls into fairly effective category. While the obstacles in the implementation of the teaching programs at PNB include those in the components of context, input, process and product components. The outstanding obstacle occurs in the product variable.
For centuries, many indigenous peoples across the archipelago have adopted customary agroforestry practices that are evidently sustainable. Forest Management Units (FMUs) or KPHs, intended to improve forest management at the ground level therefore, need to adopt policies that can align with, complement and strengthen existing local land-use systems. The purpose of this research is to gain an understanding on how KPH policies, those with direct implications on the ground, can be aligned with indigenous peoples' traditional agroforestry systems of Buru. We used a qualitative descriptive approach based on in-depth interviews with key informants and focus group discussions with indigenous groups of Buru. Results show that the indigenous peoples of Buru have and continue to follow a set of norms and rules in their forest land management practices: lands are utilized to plant various agricultural commodities that are combined with forest species which are left to grow naturally upon clearing land for agriculture or in establishing gardens. There are also norms and rules in establishing fields and gardens, starting from clearing of the land, to maintenance, to harvest. Every family in villages own fields and gardens, making them a vital part of community life. KPH policy of land use at the site level requires an understanding of how rules of resource use can be made compatible with and support community needs. In the operationalization of KPH, indigenous peoples’ rights to regulate the use of forest land, access to forest land use, and use of forest products need to be accommodated so that these communities continue to benefit from activities on their land.
Rainfall and ET0 are the two main factors in the tendency of floods or droughts in an area. Considering the impression capabilities of these two factors due to climate change, the aim of this study is to estimate rainfall and ET0 for future periods due to climate change and to evaluate their uncertainty with the potential for high flooding or drought. This research was conducted in the Singkoyo Watershed by conducting field surveys, daily rainfall data collection and climatology data. The analysis carried out in this study, namely: detection of climate change, projections of climate change and potential evapotranspiration. The conclusion of this study is: there has been a climate change in the Singkoyo watershed marked by Z ≠ 0 and occurred extreme monthly and annual rainfall. In general, it can be said that a decrease in potential evapotranspiration on one side will cause an increase in the average monthly rainfall on the other side. In the future it is likely that there will be a trend of increasing monthly and annual rainfall which is quite significant so we need to be aware of the danger of flooding. Therefore, it is necessary to implement climate change adaptation procedures.
