Chinese temple area as religious area of Chinese community has a special space pattern, special views and vista which is a vital part of the image of urban community. The aim of this research is to study the space pattern of Chinese Temple area in Semarang Chinatown, Central Java, Indonesia. The purpose of studying space pattern of Chinese temple area in Semarang Chinatown is to examine the link between economic and socioculture aspects of community, space pattern, and an impact on the existing regulation. This research used a rasionalistic approach by a qualitative paradigm in relation to the aim of the research above. This research used a rasionalistic approach by a qualitative paradigm, on which used framework of theory not to prove or compile hypothesis, but to analyse problems and see object in its context. This approach needs theoretical framework that based on the experts' theories, to be constructed become grand concepts with holistic study (Muhajir, 1996). According to the result and the analysis, the writer found that both the character of physical aspect and non physical aspect of Chinese settlement forms and influense the space pattern of Chinese temple area in Semarang Chinatown. Basic of all the special pattern of Semarang Chinatown is the environment pattern especially the space pattern of Chinese temple area and their specific buildings as physical aspects, combine with the socioculture activity and the economic activity as non physical aspects. Yet the space pattern of Semarang Chinatown and their socioculture give Semarang sense of tradition, history and regional identification that remains resistance to the encroaching values of modern industrial society.
Turbidity can serve to signal potential contamination problems or difficulties within a distribution system. Increased distribution system turbidity can be indicative of microbiological problems. After collection of samples from different locations in Rabak Town, Samples were analyzed as soon as possible in field by using turbidity meter. The study revealed that all examined samples indicated high levels of turbidity, (i.e. turbidity level above standard value 5 NTU). We found values of turbidity in all examined samples ranged from 3876 NTU. The study according to WQI revealed that quality of water unfit for drinking without secondary treatment process. Throughout this study we observed treatment of drinking water is insufficient due to high levels of turbidity in all examined water samples, so the study recommended that: local health authorities must check drinking water supply system regularly according to WHO guidelines for drinking water to ensure from efficiency of treatment process.
Metallogenic zone Borovica-Vares-Cevljanovici is built of Triassic clastic and carbonate formations that established the presence of significant deposits of iron and complex sulphide-barite deposits. Metalliferous zone Triassic sediments Vares area is located north of Sarajevo at a distance of about 35 km in a straight line. It stretches a distance of about 25 km and an average width of about 2.5 km. Triassic sediments cover an area approximately 70 km 2 , while the brighter part is about 30 km 2 . Systematic geological studies with shorter intervals were performed in the period from 1967 to 1989, when it was interrupted by the exploitation of the only open reservoirs Veovaca. Summing up the results of research of complex sulphide- barite occurrences and deposits in the area are clearly distinguished three groups were identified: north-group deposits and occurrences (the village of Borovice), and the central group of deposits and occurrences-Veovaca, Orti, Seliste, Prijeljev, Droskovac, Brezik, Smreka south and south-eastern group deposits and occurrences: Barice, Brgule, Smajlova forest. Carried out systematic geological exploration works in the period 1967-1989 was executed evaluation of reserves of lead, zinc and barite deposits in Veovaca, Orti, Rupice, Brestica-Jurasevac, and other sites are only indicated which leaves room for further research. The environment Veovace, the localities Seliste, Orti and Prijeljev obtained are indications interesting mineralization and ore, which would support future prospects in this area. The paper gives an overview of the results of research and quality of reserves of lead, zinc, barite, iron, chromium, manganese metallogenic zone Juniper-Vares-Cevljanovici. Displayed are the geological, mineralogical and chemical characteristics of these data explains the genesis of individual deposits. Previous geological, geochemical, geophysical and exploration drilling and underground mining works were found interesting mineralization and mineralization, indicating the perspective of this area.
This paper presents the architecture, components and evaluation of Arab kids tutor (AKT), an intelligent tutor system for learning handwriting Arabic alphabets. Today, children suffer from handwriting difficulty, so tutors hope to get rid of negative impact of traditional learning system. Our system contains an immediate feedback with error detection that can check multiple kinds of handwriting errors and provide an intelligent feedback to our children. Moreover, AKT use freeman chain code and mathematical algorithms to detect order and direction errors. Through the work, we indicate the children level of understanding of learning handwriting character using fuzzy sets. Experimental results indicate that the AKT successfully detect handwriting strokes errors with automatic feedback.
In the recent studies done on the investigation of the parameters influencing the hydram's pumping efficiency it was revealed that there were some other dimensionless parameters like (Po / Pz ) and (Vs / Vd ) which were also found to influence the hydram's pumping efficiency apart from the previously known ones which are (h3 / H) and (q / Q). This work had also established the usefulness of the basic operational parameters of a hydram water pumping system for predicting its pumping performance than before.
: The segments which are a divided data packets do not have a specific segment size but mostly the default packet (segment) size is 1500 bytes. Which may be found less than the segment size of certain router on the path specified to the host destination, where unfortunately the maximum transmission unite (MTU) of each router differs from one to another, according to the protocol used and the type of network causing the segment to be fragmented by an intermediate router. This paper presents a novel cross layer design to eliminate fragmentation process from occurring at intermediate router, by providing information on the minimum MTU from source to destination in advanced to avoid the fragmentation process, that occurs when a segment (packet) is larger than the MTU of an intermediate router. The idea is to maintain information on minimum MTU allowance in forwarding table of every router. Therefore, for the purpose of maintaining information on MTU, the work proposes a routing table with four columns to perform path routing along with the minimum MTU on the path instead of the existing three columns forwarding table. which does not provide information on the MTU allowance.
Mantran Wetan is a traditional area which is situated in the village of Girirejo, in the regency of Magelang, Indonesia. The unique of this traditional area is the natural landscape, the specific of traditional buildings which have ornament details that belongs to local architectural style. The purpose of a study on the visual character of Mantran Wetan in Magelang are to find the elements that form and influence a character of Mantran Wetan in Magelang and to find visual relation between some visual characters of Mantran Wetan. A study on the visual character of area, firstly must examine the elements of architecture physical character that discussed here as: building character, area character, and the integration of the both building character and area character. And secondly, must examine about non-physical character that form the physical chararcter. This research use rasionalistic approach with qualitative paradigm. The qualitative rasionalistic research approach is appropriate with the research problems to reveal and to understand the visual character of Mantran Wetan which haven’t known yet. According to the research conclusion, it is known that the visual character of Mantran Wetan in Magelang is based on the physical character as the main elements and the non-physical character as the supporting elements. Basic of all the visucharacter of Mantran Wetan is the environment pattern, the built environment formation, the socioculture activity, and the economic activity. Yet the Mantran Wetan’s traditional buildings, space pattern, beutiful natural landscape, rich farmlands, and Jaran Kepang Papat dance give Mantran Wetan sense of tradition, history and regional identification that remains resistance to the encroaching values of modern industrial society.
