Objective: To assess the level of awareness of women in their reproductive age about menopause, its symptoms, complications, measures of alleviating these symptoms and possible measures to prevent complications and to identify the association of some variables with level of awareness. Method: A cross-sectional study was carried out in the Gynecology and Obstetrics Department in Al-Yarmouk Teaching Hospital in Baghdad; women in reproductive age group attending the above department were included in the study during the period from January to April in 2019. Data were collected by direct interview questionnaire which is composed of questions about symptoms, complications of menopause and methods used to prevent them. Results: The overall awareness level of reproductive age group about menopause was fair in 265 (75.7%) women. The awareness regarding symptoms, and complications was fair in 231 (66%), good in 95 (27.1%) and poor in 20 (6.9%) women. Higher awareness about symptoms and complication of menopause was significantly associated with women aged (40-49 years) (P value 0.012), being employed (P 0.031), with higher educational levels (P=0.025), and those who acquired their information from health worker (P 0.0001). The awareness regarding applied methods for prevention of menopausal complications was fair in 68.6%, good in 29.7% and poor in 1.7% of women. Good awareness score about applied methods for prevention of menopausal complications was significantly associated with women aged (40-49) years (P =0.029), employee (P =0.0001), with higher educational level (P 0.001), marital status (P 0.006), and those who acquired their information from health worker (P 0.0001). Only 28% of women think that menopause is a positive phenomenon. Conclusion: The Majority of women had fair awareness regarding menopause symptoms, complications and prevention. Factors that affected the awareness levels were age, source of information, educational level and employment.

Objective: To confirm the validity and reliability of a job satisfaction instrument to assess the satisfaction of administrative staff at Hanoi Obstetrics & Gynecology Hospital, Vietnam. Method: Study was conducted in two phases. First, a nine-step translation process was done with an appropriate instrument for measuring job satisfaction among administrative staff at the hospital. Second, a quantitative survey of administrative staff in the hospital (n=243) was undertaken to investigate the validity and reliability of the questionnaire. Expert review (n=7), pre-testing (n=8) for item appropriateness, rewording and rephrasing were conducted before the quantitative survey and testretest reliability assessment (n=30 participants) were also undertaken. Result: The final instrument for meassuring job satisfaction among administrative staff at the hospital consists of 7 dimension and 28 items, pay and benefits (7 items), reward and recognition (6 items), supervision (3 items), working conditions (3 items), communication (3 items), co-workers (3 items), and nature of the job (3 items). The CVI for the overall scale was 0.96, much higher than the threshold recommended by other instrument developers. The Cronbach’s alpha coefficients of individual dimensions ranged from 0.658 to 0.867. The test-retest reliability coefficients over an interval of 15 days were ranged between 0.757 and 0.895, showing that the instrument had good test-retest reliability over a short period. The results of this phase showed that the new instrument was valid and reliable for assessing the job satisfaction of the administrative staff. Conclusion: This is the first study to confirm the validity and reliability of the instrument for measuring job satisfaction of administrative staff working in a hospital in Vietnam, which appears to have good psychometric properties. It could be used for regular monitoring and evaluation of the hospital’s human resource.

Methods: Modified exercise benefits and barriers scale was used to evaluate barriers to exercise among 200 healthy pregnant women prior to, during and after pregnancy. This investigation was part of a large study conducted at the state of NSW, Australia. Data was analyzed using descriptive statistics; one way repeated measures ANOVA was conducted to evaluate the changes in exercise barriers during pregnancy. Results: The most important cited barrier was having no one to exercise with pre-pregnancy and where I live not suitable for exercise postpartum. Most women (75.4%) reported that the difficulty of exercise was the most powerful barrier to exercise during pregnancy. There are significant changes in barriers to participation in exercise arise during pregnancy. Conclusion: Increasing level of participation in physical activity during pregnancy should consider exercise barriers, specifically difficulty of exercise. Studies aiming to examine reasons for the changes in barriers during pregnancy are required.
Case review and discussion at multidisciplinary team meetings (MDTMs) have evolved into standard practice in cancer care with the aim to provide evidence-based treatment recommendations. As a basis for work to optimize the MDTMs, we investigated participants’ views on the meeting function, including perceived benefits and barriers. Objective: Sensitization to deliver at health facility aims in reducing maternal death and this is done worldwide and particularly in Rwanda. By 2015, 19% of women in Nyaruguru distrci delivered at home. This qualitative study aims to identify factors influencing home delivery and related challenges in Nyaruguru district. Methods: Purposing sampling was used to select 56 women who delivered at home. Additionally, 3 focus groups discussion was conducted; each focus group was composed by 7 members including 2 mothers, 2 community health workers, one nurse, in charge of social affairs at sector level and one community member. Guided interview was used to collect the views of mothers who delivered at home to understand the factors behind. Data was recorded and analyzed with in vivo. Verbal consent was obtained from all study participants and confidentiality was guaranteed. Results: Of the mothers who participated in the study, 25(44.6%) were aged above 30 years, 25(44.6%) attended only one ANC, 36(64.3%) had monthly family income between 20,000 to 50,000 RWf. The majority of respondents had community health insurance 46(82.1%). Regarding complications acquired during home delivery, 40(71.4%) had excessive vaginal bleeding, 6(10.7%) reported severe headaches/fever. 30(53.6%) reported that their child did not cry at birth. After getting complication 46(82.1%) reported to health facility to seek for advanced health care. The study identified a wide range of factors, including; traditional views, poverty, strong faith in traditional birth attendant, illiteracy and lack of knowledge regarding maternal health services, prevailing religious beliefs, geographical condition of same area of Nyaruguru that hinder the transport availability, and the fear of undergoing a caesarean delivery at health facilities. Conclusion: Individual, and healthcare system related factors influence home delivery. Healthcare programs can consider ensuring access to quality delivery services and provide transport facilitation for poor mothers from remote areas.

They expressed the sentiments of shame or sentiments of disregard by the health care agencies. Studies reported that participants having more negative attitude are having more chance to have depression. Women with natural menopause had good body image score than with surgical menopause.

Method: In this pilot study participants above 45 years of age presenting with cessation of menses for at least 12 months along with menopausal complaints 30 participants have been chosen after fulfilling criteria of case definition, inclusion and exclusion parameter. Followed by detailed case taking and clinical examination was done to every participants. Results: From response of patient, it is found that 18 patients showed good improvement, 9 patients showed moderate improvement and 3 patients showed poor improvement. Conclusion: This study showed significant relief to patients suffering from symptoms of Menopause. Apart from prescribing homoeopathic medicine judiciously, there is also need of psychological counseling along with educate women about their changes in their bodies will be going through, which will reduce their anxieties considerably.
