As an economist and researcher of macroeconomic models for economic growth, we give importance to labor efficiency to increase the level of production.Efficiency is directly related to education, qualification, specialization, etc.We give importance to the educational part, as we also connect it with the salary and the advantages that education gives to a country as a public good.Being a country in transition makes us appreciate it more and as individuals we invest in it, but generation after generation have tried to get an education and leave the country. This is the reason that education in our country gives the expected results. However, education is also related to the culture received from generation to generation. The purpose of this study is to discover the relationship between the education of the population and the economic growth of the country. The result of the study was surprising.Education in Albania does not make a positive contribution to economic growth. On the contrary, it gives a negative impact.Albania is facing an increasing emigration of educated and professional individuals. This has a negative impact on economic growth as the country has spent on their education while the host country benefits from the contribution.Give a man a fish and he will eat for a day.Teach a man to fish and he will eat for a lifetime."-Laozi(老子) 1 .
While theories predict a positive role of foreign direct investment (FDI) in industrialization (INDU) of developing countries, empirical evidence is mixed due partly to missing role of government in the FDI-INDU nexus. This study seeks to close the gap by investigating how governments may help domestic firms to gain from FDI.The paper focuses on (a) modelling and estimating the impact of governments on INDU through FDI; (b) constructing measures of governments and adopting recently developed indicators for INDU in estimations; and (c) working with a large sample of 98 developing countries over 2000-2020.We conclude that governments indeed matter in capturing benefits from FDI to INDU.The positive effects of host-governments tend to be larger in promoting industrial capacity than industrial share, and larger in boosting manufactured exports than manufacturing output in domestic markets.
Green growth mitigates greenhouse gas emissions and prevents environmental degradation. It creates new growth engines and jobs.A green economy is characterised as a public good.In it, income growth and employment should be driven by public and private investment (UNEP, 2011).The main purpose of this paper is to present a general picture of green growth for the Balkan countries that are not part of the European Union, as well as to evaluate the indicators where these economies have performed better and where they need to intervene in order to improve. To achieve this goal, the paper uses data obtained from OECD.Stat.The OECD Green Growth data source contains specific indicators to monitor improvement through green growth. We selected data for five Balkan countries that are not part of the European Union (Albania, Serbia, Montenegro, Bosnia and Herzegovina, North Macedonia) for the years from 1990 to 2020.The variables used in this paper are indicators of green growth, and we will use them to observe which of the countries taken in the study has progressed more towards green growth. The results of the paper guide governments to design relevant policies in those variables where they have performed the weakest.

This paper aims to study the impact of decentralization on corruption in the MENA region during the period 2001-2019.We adopt the model of Fisman and Gatti (2002) and use two econometric methods: the instrumental variable method and the system GMM method.Firstly, we show that decentralization in these economies favors rent-seeking behavior and cannot be a mechanism to fight against corruption. This result is robust for these two estimation methods and different corruption and decentralization indicators.Secondly, we introduce the base model, an interactive variable that links the decentralization indicator to that of transparency in public procurement.Likewise, we estimate this model by using the instrumental variable method and the system GMM method. We show that a threshold level of transparency in public procurement is necessary for successful decentralization and the reduction of corruption in MENA countries. This result is robust for the two estimation methods and different corruption and decentralization indicators.

As the largest developing country, China has made significant achievements in the battle against poverty in a short period. The key point lies in the targeted rural poverty alleviation policies with Chinese characteristics, for which educational poverty alleviation is the fundamental guarantee.Educational poverty alleviation in rural povertystricken areas is mainly to improve the total amount and quality of rural human resources with the adoption of various education-based human resource development models. The development of rural human resources is conducive to increase the income of rural poverty families and then achieve sustained poverty elimination. In this study, we argue that preschool education could promote economic growth in rural poverty-stricken areas through internal and spillover effects based on human resource development.Internal effect is mainly manifested in its direct effect on improving the quality of human resources, for example, to block the inter-generational transmission of poverty by cultivating high-quality laborers in the future. While, the spillover effect is mainly reflected in the increase in the total amount of human resources, such as transforming the original child caregivers (female and elderly) into productive laborers.Additionally, the teacher training model for preschool education in rural areas could also promote rural human resources development by enabling plenty of surplus laborers to participate in preschool education. To the best of our knowledge, this study is the first to analyze the effects of preschool education on achieving sustained poverty elimination in the post-poverty era from a new perspective of human resources development with the combination of the seventh population census bulletin and the three-child policy recently released in China. Our findings could provide references for other developing countries that are committed to poverty alleviation, and also are conducive to accelerate the process of establishing inclusive preschool childcare and education service system in China to achieve sustainable rural development.
In the conditions of digitalization, along with standard forms of labor organization (individual and collective), other forms are becoming more widespread: remote and home-based work, as well as work on the flexible working hours. The introduction of remote work within quarantine measures, as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, has become a mandatory step in order to preserve the health of workers and ensure uninterrupted work.Itrequires the formation and implementation of a legal mechanism labor relations and control. The purpose of this study has development of scientifically substantiated proposals and recommendations on transformational changes of the mechanism of public control over observance of the legislation on work and health care, to open features of functioning of components of such mechanism in the conditions of remote work.To achieve the goal of the study, the methodological principles and approaches of legal science were used. The analysis showed that in generalthe current legislation provides for a number of powers related to the control of trade unions over compliance with labor legislation and the adoption of measures to protect the rights of workers.A positive innovation is the distinction between remote and home work.In order to improve the legal regulation of trade union powers, it is proposed to improve the legal regulation of the collective bargaining sector, to introduce an effective mechanism for trade unions to join the current system of social partnership acts, which will attract new forces to the trade union movement.
This study investigates the determinants of firm's innovation in Morocco using data from the World Bank Enterprise Surveys among 1,096 enterprises for the year 2019.Using probit regression model, the results show that firm size, formal training, and informal sector competition are the main drivers of product, process, R&D investment, and foreign certification innovation.Furthermore, foreign ownership and the exporter status also significantly impact firms' innovation. The results indicate that small and medium-sized enterprises are less likely to innovate compared to large firms, and firms in the manufacturing sector are more likely to innovate compared to service sector firms. The findings of this study can be used by enterprises to develop effective strategies for innovation and by policy-makers to enhance the competitiveness of the Moroccan economy.
