The issue of the shrinking of literary imagination in China has become a hot topic in the field of the theory of literature and art. This paper maintains that we should find out the fundamental cause of the problem by tracing it to its source--the writers in China. The paper points out that, firstly, the narration of contemporary Chinese novels still remains on the stage of copying realities, and Chinese novelists have become addicted to learning writing methods and techniques from western writers; secondly, the contemporary Chinese novels have a narrow scope of subject matter, for many writers tend to provide accounts of reality, being unable to deal with the relationship between reality and imagination; thirdly, the contemporary writers in China have lacked a conscientiousness sense, reflection sense and question sense in terms of theory.
In the current political economics and monetary banking, the functions of currencies are inappropriately summarized as measures of value, instruments of circulation, means of hoard, means of payment, and world currency. This paper argues that they should be changed and replaced by measure of price ( or measure of exchange value) , media of circulation, means of saving money, and means of postponed payment. The paper also argues that the world money is not a function of the currency, but a category of money, which is decided by the regional scope where it functions.
Imitation and inspiration are very important concepts in western classical poetics. In ancient Greece, both were used to explain poetic creation, and there were no difficulties for people to understand. But in China today, people are accustomed to dividing them into two different categories. They believe that Plato' s poetic theory is full of contradictions. Therefore, they either neglect or give up further research on these two concepts. This paper makes a relatively profound study of the unresolved issues related to the two concepts from the angles of the ancient original meanings and shifts of the concepts and of Plato' s complicated theories.
This paper is intended to analyze and differentiate Aristotle' s conception of ousia, as well as to explore its source and, finally, to explain its meaning. Aristotle used the term of ousia which purports to represent the core position of on (being) in the Greek ontology, thus changing the orientation of ancient Greek ontology. The ancient Greek philosophy, which had been searching for the basis or origin of a thing from its outside turned to looking for the basis and origin in the thing oneself. He called this kind of basis and origin ousia. This conception possesses three links: material, form, and ability, which are united as a whole in its dialectical movement.

The scientific foundation of environmental ethics is based on the regional community rather than natural community, because judged from the perspective of evolution, the integrated forms of mankind and nature have experienced the evolutionary process from natural community to social community and then to regional community. And each of the various integrated forms reflects a different existential state of mankind and nature in their corresponding community. In the natural community, human beings exist as a species in general and obey only the natural law. In the social community, there only exists the ethical relationship between human beings and what they follow is only the social law. In the regional community, human beings live as a real moral species and it is just in this sense that man possesses the ethical relationship with nature.

In the second part the writer investigates and revises the controversial prose with verse in the annals compiled by predecessors. In the third part the author maintains that Su Shi's prose pieces are characterized by varying styles so that he is well known in the history of prose interspersed with verse for his graceful prose, but most of his prose works are still either rhythmical prose characterized by parallelism and ornateness and interspersed with verse or descriptive prose with a literary style. In the last part the author classifies Su Shi's prose pieces, which are considered to be rich in subject matters, including discussions of government affairs, records of trips and journeys, mourning ancestors or ancients, etc. Though he did not drink much, yet Su Shi wrote plenty of prose pieces interspersed with verse which sing the praises of alcoholic drinks.
