This paper addresses the problem of real-time scheduling on multiprocessor platforms for periodic tasks in a time-triggered mixed criticality environment. A partitioned, non-preemptive, table-driven scheduling algorithm was proposed, called Partitioned Time-Triggered Own Criticality Based Priority (P-TT -OCBP), based on a uniprocessor mixed criticality method. Furthermore, an analysis of the scheduling algorithm is provided in terms of success ratio by comparing it against an event-driven and a time-triggered method.
The purpose of this paper is to analyse the performances of Turbo codes, LDPC (Low Density Parity Check) codes and Polar codes, over an AWGN (Additive White Gaussian Noise) channel with and without ISI (Inter Symbol Interference). In case of using an AWGN channel without ISI, the channel impulse response was considered to be unitary. In contrast, in the case of an AWGN channel in the presence of ISI, it was required to apply equalisation. In this respect, it was used Zero Forcing equalizer to remove the ISI consequences. As performance indicator the BER (Bit Error Rate) was considered for a given SNR (Signal to noise Ratio), using BPSK modulation (Binary Phase Shift Keying).
Fifth generation (5G) radio systems represent a predictable evolution of the mobile network to achieve new capabilities. As the previous generation, 5G mobile networks will provide high data rate connectivity for smartphones, tablets, and IoT as well. 5G takes the traditional mobile broadband to the extreme in terms of data rates, capacity, spectrum efficiency and availability. For these targets, 5G requires various protocols to support its multiples features, such as Transmission Control Protocol (TCP), which provides high-speed data rates. In this paper we analyze the performances of TCP on top of File Transfer Protocol (FTP) model 2. User throughput, total cell throughput, Round Trip Time (RTT), delay and Physical Resource Block (PRB) utilization are the analyzed metrics for FTP protocol.
