
Based on the field survey and data acquisition on the root system of Eucalyptus at Shadi village in Yuanmou County,this paper calculated such indexes as area and volume of soil reinforcement according to root length,diameter,growth direction,slope and drop. The result showed that the shape of surface root system of Eucalyptus in Shadi village was mainly horizontal. There was a correlation between the upper and lower slope value,root length and drop of surface root system. The root length had a positive correlation with the area and volume of soil reinforcement. But the root diameter only had a positive correlation with the area of soil reinforcement and had unobvious relationship with volume. This research not only helped to understand the coupling effect between water content,soil and organisms in theory,but also provided guidance for practical activities of ecological restoration in the Dry-hot Valley.
The growth characteristic of Toona sinensis plantation in Junlian County had been studied. The results showed that: Tree height growth of Toona sinensis was earlier than the breast diameter growth; The maximum of current annual increment and mean annual increment of the breast diameter and tree height appeared nearly synchronously( 16 a and 2 a),the maximum of current annual increment of timber volume appeared at about 16 a,earlier than the maximum of mean annual increment; The current annual increment and mean annual increment of breast diameter intersected at 17 a,which of tree height intersected at 10 a,and which of timber volume didn't intersect during 20 a,that means 20 a Toona sinensis didn't attain the quantitative maturity. The growth process of 20 a Toona sinensis was divided into such 3 periods as young stand period( 0 ~ 4 a),fast-growing period( 5~ 1 a),and near mature period( 12 ~ 20 a).

In this paper,an analysis is given of the status,problems and advantages of Chimonanthus praecox development in Xuanhan County,the development layout of Chimonanthus praecox industry combing with the situation of Xuanhan County and the forestry status were put forward,in order to speed the development of Chimonanthus praecox ecological industry in Xuanhan County.
In recent years,poplar has been developed rapidly for its fast growth,high yielding and high economic benefit. With the expansion of the planting area,the occurrence of main pests Longhorned Beetle is also on the rise. It has been a big barrier for poplar industrial development in some places where rate of damaged trees exceeded over 50%. In this paper,a number of measures to prevent beetles for various regions are put forward according to occurrence characteristics and damage law.
The biomass and its distributting characteristics of Bambusa multiplex various organs were measured by the way of standard plot. The results showed that: the biomass of each organ as follows: stems branches stump leaves root,the individual plant biomass in the age-class was 3a( 1006. 79 g) 2a( 868. 90 g) 1a( 631. 26 g). Biomass of aboveground was more than which of underground in the age-class. Stand biomass in the age-class as folows: 2a( 2476. 35 kg·hm- 2) 3a( 1395. 24 kg·hm- 2) 1a( 4544. 93 kg·hm- 2).The mathematical regression modeles were built using the bamboo high and diameter at breast height as the independent variables,and biomass of various organs as dependent variable. The mathematical modeles of organs except root fitted by power function( W = c DaHb) had the highest correlation.

The cultivation situation of Carya illinoensis in Jianshui County was introduced,the cultivation methods including selection of orchard,planting time and main planting techniques,and the management techniques including management of soil,fertilizer and water,interplant,pruning and training etc. were analyzed.At last,the main diseases and insect pests and controlling methods of Carya illinoensis were summarized.
This paper elaborated the theory of biodiversity and the research status of biodiversity in Karst area,discussed the importance of biodiversity on the development of human society through food,drugs,timber,energy and other social needs,introduced the 6 main characteristics of Karst Ecosystem. Based on the research on the status of degradation and restoration in Karst ecosystem,authors put up the necessity and urgency of restoring Karst ecosystem,analyzed the relationship between ecosystem function and species biodiversity which were disputed by different scholars,and believed that the benefit of diversity on ecosystem couldn't be measured by the number of species diversity. Respectively,from genetic diversity,species diversity and ecosystem diversity,authors discussed ecosystem restoration in Karst area. Furthermore,authors researched the application of the theory of biodiversity in the Karst ecosystem restoration and its research progress,and discussed the developing trend of diversity theory on the restoration of Karst ecosystem.
The spatial pattern of gullies system is less researched in areas of geomorphology of the gully erosion. Based on 1: 50000 topographic map and high-resolution remote sensing imagery,this paper extracted and classified the gullies system in the study area through hydrological analysis tools and visual interpretation for studying the spatial pattern types of the gullies system in Yuanmou Dry-hot Valley. The results showed that the gullies system in Yuanmou Dry-hot Valley were more complex. According to the different texture characteristics and the morphology of combination relations,the gullies system could be divided into 6 types: radial gully,comb gully,pinnate gully,trellis gully,dendritic gully and parallel gully.Different types of gullies system were formed mainly by the topography features and geomorphological sites. Studies on the spatial pattern types of gullies system can help in understanding the growth rules and formation mechanism of the gullies system in theory,but also provide scientific basis for prevention and treatment of erosion gully and optimization of environmental governance in the practice.
Because of the strong market demand at home and abroad,Walnut industry is becoming to a sunshine industry helping people in Guizhou mountainous area to overcome poverty and achieve prosperity,and offers a new approach for the synchronous construction of well-off society in Guizhou. In order to give theoretical guidance on health development of Walnut industry of Guizhou province,this paper analyzes the internal advantages and disadvantages,external opportunity and challenge faced by the development of Walnut industry in Guizhou province by the SWOT method. Guizhou Walnut industry has such advantages superior nature conditions,ample land resources and abundant Walnut germplasm resources,has such disadvantages as being short of overall planning,different varieties of quality,paying more attention to cultivate than management and so on,has such external conditions as the extensive market prospect,the support of state and local preferential policy,and the opportunity of accelerating afforestation and developing forest industry faster and better,and faced such questions as the marker competition at home and abroad and the challenge of being replaced by other dried fruit. Furthermore, this paper puts up some countermeasures to promote the Walnut industry development from the aspects of breeding improved varieties,establishing the rural cooperative organizations,strengthening the management of Walnut trees,increasing the construction and development of Walnut processing and related industry,enhancing the product additional value,establishing and improving the technical standards of planting and management and so on.
In order to study the characteristics of landscape pattern of land use in hilly region,the article converted the vector format data of the second national land survey of Shunqing district in Nanchong City at the end of 2009 into grid file format with size of 30 × 30 m,selected 14 landscape analysis indexes with CA,PLAND,NP,PD,LPI,LSI,PAFRAC,FRAC_MN,AI,SHEI,SPLIT,PR,SHD,DIVISIONN,calculated and analyzed under the Fragstats 3. 4 and Excel 2003 software environment. The results showed that: main land use types in study district were dry land,paddy and forest land,and the landscape shape of them were irregular,border of them were complex; patches in landscapes were extremely broken,and the broken degree of villages,forest land and dry land was relatively high; dry land and cities distributed concentrated,their landscape was simple,facilities agricultural land distributed dispersed,and its landscape was complex; landscape di-versity was rich,heterogeneity was high,there was higher correlation between the various landscape indexes. The characteristics of landscape pattern of land use were formed by nature factors and artificial factors. Quantitative analysis for the characteristics of the landscape pattern of land use was useful in further studying the influencing factors of the characteristics of landscape pattern,exploring the methods of using land efficiently, optimizing landscape ecosystem, protecting biodiversity,and establishing a good foundation for the sustainable development of social economy and the harmony between man and nature.
The effect of different concentration aqueous extract from A.philoxeroides Trunk leaf on the seed germination and root border cells' survival rate of 2kinds of grass seeds was studied by petri dish and aeroponic culture.The results showed that aqueous extract from A.philoxeroides Trunk leaf had effect on the seed germination and root border cells' survival rate of 2 kinds of grass seeds,and high concentration aqueous extract from A.philoxeroides Trunk leaf had stronger effect than low of that.This effect was decreasing as the concentration of aqueous extract from A.philoxeroides Trunk leaf was decreasing.
Soil erodibility is the important index on evaluating soil erosion sensitivity,and the important parameter of forecasting soil erosion.This paper elaborated the main types of soil erodibility,pointed out soil erodibility was relative to soil corrosion resistance,and the ability of corrosion resistance of the same soil under disparate erosion powers was different.Furthermore,this paper determined soil erodibility factor(K Value) as the index of soil erodibility,and discussed the main factors influencing soil erodibility.
Forest fire is a world difficult problem,and there are hundreds of thousands of forest fire in the world every year. Forest fire destroyed forest and destroyed property,but also advanced the renewal of forest ecological system. Many countries took such disposal methods of forest fire as religiously monitoring,strictly preventing and actively quenched,however,the Yellowstone Park of the United States took a different disposal measures and left forest fire to burn itself out. In 2010,author investigated the Yellowstone Park,especially,the area which had been burned by forest fire in 1988,and talked with managers of this park. Through the investigation,author had further understanding for disposal method of forest fire in the Yellowstone Park,and further recognized the advantage and disadvantage of forest fire for the development of human being society and ecological environment.
In order to analyze the relationship between length and catchment area of gullies in the Yuanmou dry-hot valley,digital elevation model(DEM) was generated from contour data by ArcGIS software,extracted gullies network and valley boundary were extracted to calculate the length and catchment area of gullies.The research area was divided into two parts:east area and west area to compare the relationship between length and catchment area of gullies under different terrain.The results showed that gullies in the Yuanmou dry-hot valley were influenced by rainfall and terrain etc.,the length of these gullies was less than 2 km,and the mainly catchment area was less than 1 km2.The length of gullies was positively correlated with catchment area,catchment area had corresponding change with the change of gullies length.The rate of length and catchment area of gullies mainly distributed in 1 ~ 3.0.This study not only revealed the terrain characteristics of dry-hot valley,but also provided scientific evidence to the agricultural production and project building.
In order to understand the current situation of summer flowering plant resources in Yakexia National Forest Park,author investigated the summer flowering plant resources of this park through field surveys,specimen identification and network query methods. The result showed that these were 27 families,60 genera, 86 kinds' summer flowering plants. Furthermore,author analyzed the ornamental characteristics of the wild alpine flower resources in Yakexiao National Forest Park and put up corresponding advices on their rational utilization.
Based on the analysis of situation of environment pollution in Dazhou town and the main influencing factors,authors selected different anti-pollution plants and configuration modes under different pollution sources to push forward urban afforestation and beautification and reduce city pollution.
