对河南省部分高师院校地理科学专业教育类基础课程的问卷调查,结果发现:高师院校地理科学专业教育类课程设置存在着侧重理论层面,滞后干中学地理新课程的改革,教育实践课程没引起足够的重视;教育类课程设置课时较少,学分比例偏低;学生对新课程改革的认知理解程度不足等问题.针对这种情况,高师院校应通过整合教育基础理论课程,增加教师职业技能类课程和教育研究课程,重视教育实习,培养适应基础教育新课程改革的新型地理教师.
