
This research aimed mainly to develop an extension Plan for the management of Lake Nasser's fisheries. Field data were collected through a personal interview questionnaire in January and February 2023, for a simple random sample of 48 respondents representing 87.3 % of the total of 55 Respondents. Frequencies, percentages, relative weight, and a surplus production model, "Schaefer", were used for data presentation and analysis. The results revealed that: According to respondents, the main dimensions in fisheries management were ranked in the following order: Biological (91%), Administrative (90.4%), Economic (90.1), Social (89%), and Ecological (87.7%). The most important problems related to fisheries management from respondents point of view, expressed in relative weight, were: overfishing, illegal fishing, and environmentally harmful practices (96%), Enforcement of existing laws (92%), And the weakness of Extension, training, and public awareness services (81%). The Schaefer surplus production model applied from 2010 to 2021 estimated a Maximum Sustainable Yield (MSY) of approximately 27089 tons per year, from fishing effort equal to about 4114 boats and the actual production exceeded the allowed production quantity (MSY). This may due to potential overexploitation, mainly through illegal and unauthorized fishing. An Extension plan for fisheries management at Lake Nasser was proposed using Pressure-State-Response (PSR) model. Respondents' recommendations for fisheries recovery included strengthening law enforcement (64.6%), Continuing Prohibiting of Fishing during Spawning season (58.3%), and prohibiting fishing in overexploited areas, reducing the number of fishing boats and regulating their specifications (54.2%), and imposing restrictions on fishing nets, particularly length and mesh size (50.0%).
This study examines the relationship between indigenous fish species' growth parameters and human activities in the upper Awash River. Sampling was carried out from May to October 2021 at monthly intervals using an electrofisher. A total of 2242 fish specimens belonging to four species were collected and measured, and any correlations with various human activities were analyzed. The most abundant species was Garra dembecha, and the fewest populations were of Garra makiensis. The length-weight relationships were significant for all species (p < 0.05), with R2 values ranging from 0.7 to 0.99. Garra quadrimaculata and Garra makiensis exhibited isometric and a positive allometric growth pattern, respectively, while Garra dembecha and Labeobarbus beso had a negative allometric growth pattern. The Fulton condition factor (K) and b values significantly (p < 0.05) varied between sites depending on the level of human activity. A site with low human activity was characterized by high values of most growth parameters (K max. "b" and "a" and regression coefficient, R2), while a site with intensive farming (AW4) showed a positive correlation with the fish abundance and biomass. The findings showed that human activities affected the growth parameters of studied fish species. These findings emphasize the need for sustainable management practices to maintain the continued survival of these important fish populations in the upper Awash River.
Egyptian agricultural exports have emerged as a crucial contributor to the country's foreign exchange earnings, particularly during the period when other sectors were adversely affected by the Corona crisis. These exports have provided Egypt with much-needed hard currency, resulting in a trade surplus of approximately 8 billion dollars. This surplus indicates that Egypt's total exports exceeded its total imports in the post-Corona period, highlighting the positive impact of the pandemic on Egypt's overall trade balance.The influence on the volume of Egyptian total commerce was favorable, resulting in a total trade value of around $104 billion during the second period, representing an increase of roughly 5% compared to the first period.It is evident that the Egyptian export season for oranges to the Russian market occurs in the months of January, February, March, April, and May in the years 2019 and 2021, both before and after the Corona period. The main competitors of Egypt in the Russian market are Turkey and Morocco. In 2019, Egypt held the top position in Russia's orange imports, accounting for approximately 89%, followed by Turkey with approximately 6%, and Morocco with approximately 3%. In 2021, during the post-Corona period, Egypt maintained its first-place position in Russia's orange imports, accounting for approximately 83%. Based on the information provided, it is evident that the COVID-19 pandemic had a detrimental effect on Egypt's market share of oranges in the Russian market. However, this impact was rather little, with a decrease of approximately 0.6%. Nevertheless.

The main aim of this study was increased the added value of mussel (Brachidontes pharaonis) by producing a new female and male hot and cold smoked from its meat using both sawdust and liquid smoke. The results indicated that, new smoked products were rich in protein (19.9 - 45.8 %), ash (13.4 - 17.8 %), considerable level of lipids (12.06 -18.4 %) and carbohydrates (20.4 - 23.8%) on dry weight basis, with 6.73 - 6.25 pH, 3 - 6 % salt content, less than 20 mg/100g TVBN, 3 mg/100g TMA-N, 3 mg/ Kg TBA, 5.7 log CFU/g TVC, 1.34 - 2.15 log CFU /g S. aureus, and free from E. coli and coliform bacteria. The colour, odour, taste, texture and overall acceptability of these products were very good as described by panelists. Some PAHs of smokes compounds were qualitative detected in some products as estimated by GC-MS method and according to their percentage of the presence probability great acceptance of the samples smoked with sawdust and liquid smoke, with slight differences appearing between them.
The research problem is the decline in fish production from natural fisheries, especially the Mediterranean, due to much production, administrative and marketing problems, as well as the increase in the number of fishermen and fishing units operating in the Mediterranean fisheries.Consistent with the research problem, the research aimed to study the current situation of fish production in the Egyptian marine and lagoon fisheries and the problems facing the development of fish wealth in the Mediterranean fisheries.Secondary data from the competent authorities and primary data by means of a questionnaire form through an interview with fishermen, with a random sample of 70 fishermen in North Sinai Governorate during the 2022 fishing season.The results show that fish production from the Egyptian seas has taken a general declining trend, estimated at about 1.7 thousand ton, with an average It was estimated at about 113.2 thousand ton during the period 2005-2020, and it was found that fish production from the Mediterranean Sea took a general declining trend, estimated at about 1.9 thousand ton, while fish production from the Red Sea took a general increasing trend estimated at about 170 ton.Finally, it was found that fish production from the total Egyptian fisheries has taken a general increasing trend, estimated at about 78.6 thousand ton, with an average estimated at about 1.44 million ton, during the same period.The research recommends the need to pay attention to natural fisheries, especially the Mediterranean Sea, and work to solve all production, administrative and marketing problems.
