Green inhibitors are promising alternatives to toxic corrosion inhibitors as they are environmentally safe substances, ecologically acceptable and renewable. In this research, the effect of green henna as an inhibitor existing in the coating of TMSM-PMMA and its electrochemical study were analyzed. The coating was produced by “sol-gel” method in order to protect the corrosion of low-carbon steel. TMSM hybrid cell was synthesized by hydrolysis and condensation, Metaacryloxypropyltrimethoxysilane and Tetraetylorthosilicate with 1:1 molar ratio and PMMA hybrid cell was produced by Methylmetaacrylate polymerization. Finally two cells were mixed in 1:1 weight ratio. The carbon steel substrates were prepared by dip coating method. SEM technique was applied for the microstructure evaluation of thin layers including different concentrations of henna extract. Adhesion of coating was analyzed by “Pull off” test. Additionally, the experimental results obtained in different concentrations of henna extract using electrochemical methods such as tafel polarization, electrochemical impedance spectroscopy indicating that coating with the concentration of 3% inhibitor had a high level of inhibition efficiency in 0.1 M HCL. The results of polarization tests signified that henna extract acts as a mixed inhibitor.
The Hantzsch synthesis has been used for the preparation of the 1,4-Dihydropyridines compounds with different pharmacophore groups. The use of a designed glycosylated compound in Hantzsch synthesis would lead to a novel Dihydropyridines C-Glycosylated compound. We used the 6-methoxy-2, 2-dimethyltetrahydrofuro [3, 4-d] [1, 3] dioxole-4-carbaldehyde as a glycosylated-based aldehydes. The 4-(3,4-Dihydroxy-5-methoxy-tetrahydro-furan-2-yl)-2,6-dimethyl-1,4-dihydro-pyridine-3,5-dicarboxy-lic acid 3-ethyl ester 5-methyl ester was synthesized. The structure of compounds was determined by NMR spectroscopy, FTIR and mass spectroscopy methods. We synthesized this 1,4-Dihydropyridines compound by ionic liquid under ultrasound irradiation as a green chemistry synthesis.

The aim of the present work was to investigate the luminescent properties of europium-doped lanthanum aluminate (LaAlO3) powder prepared by Modified Pechini (MP) method. Samples were prepared at different Eu3+ concentrations and calcined at 1600°C. Structural and morphology characterizations were obtained by X-ray diffraction (XRD), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), and transmission electron microscope (TEM). Luminescent properties were analyzed by photoluminescence (PL) and thermoluminescent phenomena. The XRD pattern shows pure lanthanum aluminate oxide LaAlO3 with a rhombohedral structure. Photoluminescence studies of the powders was related to 4f → 4f(5D0 → 7Fi) (i = 1, 2, 3, 4) transitions of Eu3+ ion, the most intense emission of Eu3+ in LaAlO3 was registered for the transition 5D0 → 7F1, for 5% of Eu3+. The recorded TL glow curves of excited samples showed a main TL peak, the main peak appeared its maximum as a function of excitation energy. The investigation demonstrates that polycrystalline LaAlO3:Eu3+ powders calcined at 1600°C have interesting luminescent characteristics.
A new robust heterogeneous, versatile, an environmentally benign, eco-friendly, recyclable CuFAP catalyst has been developed for the direct synthesis of nitriles and amides from aldehydes at 100°C for 6 h and 4 h, respectively, under neat reaction condition using hydroxylamine hydrochloride in the presence and the absence of tosyl chloride, respectively. Also the recyclability of catalyst as well as influence of solvents, additives on catalysts performance was investigated. The protocol can be considered as an alternative to conventional method for the synthesis of nitriles and amides in good to excellent yields. A highlight of our protocol is the easy separation of catalyst from reaction mixture, hence the catalyst is reused several times without significant loss of its catalytic activity.

In the past few decades, nanomaterials have demonstrated superior performance in numerous applications, including medicine, energy, and advanced manufacturing. However, many of the materials and processes currently used are not only dependent on nonrenewable resources but also create hazardous wastes. Green nanotechnology, the combination of nanotechnology and green chemistry, may hold the key to building an environmentally sustainable society in the twenty-first century. Nature provides us with numerous chemical substances that serve as suitable reducing agents for the synthesis of nanoparticles, including plant extracts, biopolymers, vitamins, proteins, peptides (e.g., glutathione), and sugars (e.g., glucose, fructose). Plant extracts are the most studied category to date. Given their abundance, plant extracts are regarded as one of the most promising natural reducing agents. One area of particular success is the synthesis of metal nanoparticles, useful in electronics and medical applications, using plant extracts as reducing agents. Among all metal nanopartilcles, Zinc oxide nanoparticles have received considerable attention due to their unique antibacterial, antifungal, UV filtering properties, high catalytic and photochemical activity. The present study focus on green synthesis of Zinc Oxide nanoparticles by Zinc acetate and utilizing the bio components of leaves extract of Euphorbia milii. Formation of zinc oxide nanoparticles have been characterized by UV-Vis absorption spectroscopy, X-ray diffraction (XRD), Dynamic Light Scattering (DLS), scanning electron microscopy (SEM) with energy dispersive X-ray analysis (EDX) and stability of the nanoparticles were analysed by zeta potential analysis.
In the research, aminoethyl imidazolines of cottonseed oil fatty acids with diethylenetriamine have been synthesized using the ultrasonic device creating the effect of cavitation. The yield of imidazolines was 90% - 95%. The influence of the synthesized imidazolines on lubricity quality of low sulfur diesel fuels having low lubricating quality was studied. The results showed that at concentrations 200 - 250 ppm the synthesized imidazolines can be applied as additives enhancing lubricity quality of diesel fuels.
Novel segmented thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU) copolymers were synthesized using two-step solventless bulk polymerization. 4,4'-methylenediphenyl diisocyanate (MDI) and 1,4-Butanediol (BDO) were used to form hard segment of TPU and α,ω-dihydroxy-[poly(propyleneoxide)-poly (dimethylsiloxane)-poly(propyleneoxide)] (α,ω-dihydroxy-(PPO-PDMS-PPO)) was used to form soft segment of TPU, where the molar ratio of the –N=C=O/OH was 1.02 and the hard segment weight percentage was 30%. A series of TPUs were characterized by fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FT-IR). The investigation of triblock oligomer's PPO molecular weight impact on the derived TPU's mechanical properties, thermal performance, surface water repellency and morphology performance was carried by Instron material tester, thermogravimetric analysis (TGA), differential scanning calorimetry (DSC), water contact angles (WCA), scanning electron microscope and energy dispersive X-ray spectroscopy (SEM-EDX) and wide angle X-ray diffraction (WAXD), respectively. FT-IR confirmed α,ω-dihydroxy-(PPO-PDMS-PPO) well cooperating into urethane structure and analyzed hydrogen bonding between N-H group with hard segment C=O group and N-H group with soft segment C-O-C group. DSC and WAXD results showed α,ω-dihydroxy-(PPO-PDMS-PPO) segments crystallization. SEM-EDX results showed that the presence of a spherulitic morphology, which arose from the crystallization of the PPO segments. The thermal properties measured by TGA and DSC were slightly affected by molecular weight of PPO and microphase separation. The weight loss of TPUs started between 294°C and 300°C, and Tg was in the range of -70°C to -107°C. TPU copolymers' surface hydrophobicity property was excellent with WCA range of 95° to 112°. TPU-3 with 1000 molecular weight PPO has the optimized mechanical properties with tensile strength 16.4 MPa and the modulus at 100% elongation 6.2 MPa and elongation 398%.
Novel essentially distinct from already known (methods of hydrogenation of fullerenes (C60 and C70) or fullerite) method for the synthesis of highly hydrogenated carbon molecules is developed; such approach is perspective hydrogen capacity accumulators. First, the reactionary conditions are created for the realization of the process of fullerenization as direct transformation of molecules of aromatic hydrocarbons, pyridine and ethanol into carbon molecules, fulleranes (С60Н8-С60Н60 and С70Н8-С70Н44) and quasi-fulleranes (CnHn-6-CnHn-2 (n = 20 - 46)) containing up to 5.7 wt% hydrogen. X-ray amorphous powders of hydrogenated carbon molecules in gram amounts are obtained. Appreciable dehydrogenation of such samples of fulleranes and quasi-fulleranes at ~50°C is began, while dehydrogenation of synthesized from fullerene (or fullerite) fulleranes is observed only at temperatures above 400°C. Methods of NMR, IR spectroscopy, mass spectrometry MALDI and temperature-programmed desorption mass spectrometry EI are used for the study of condensed products of fullerenization of precursors molecules.

2-Hydroxy-4,6-dimethylpyridine-3-carbonitrile and 2-chloro-4,6-dimethylpyridine-3-carbonitrile compounds have been studied from a theoretical point of view in order to know their structural and vibrational properties in gas and aqueous solution phases by means of Density Functional Theory (DFT) calculations. The stable structures in both media were optimized by using the hybrid B3LYP/6-31G* method and the solvent effects in aqueous solution were studied by using the integral equation formalism of the polarizable continuum model (IEFPCM) employing the selfconsistent reaction field (SCRF) method. Detailed vibrational analyses for both compounds in the two phases were performed combining the DFT calculations with Pulay’s Scaled Quantum Mechanics Force Field (SQMFF) methodology. The different interactions for both compounds were analyzed by means of the bond orders, atomic charges, solvation energies, dipole moments, molecular electrostatic potentials and force constants parameters. The nature of the interactions was studied by using different descriptors.

Action of bromine in concentrated nitric acid allows carrying out mono- and polybromination of moderately deactivated aromatic compounds. 4-Chloronitrobenzene and isophthalic acid turnes into 3-bromo-4-chloronitrobenzene and 5-bromoisophthalic acid at reaction with bromine in concentrated nitric acid at 20°C whereas in absence of bromine in the same conditions 4-chloro-1, 3-dinitrobenzene and 5-nitroisophthalic acid are formed accordingly. Presence of bromine in concentrated nitric acid changes nitrating capacity to brominating one. Terephthalic acid and phthalic anhydride at heating with bromine in concentrated nitric acid can be transformed to appropriating tetrabromo substituted compounds.
Surfactant doped polyaniline was synthesized in the aqueous solution of aniline and anionic surfactant of perfluorooctanoic acid (PFO) by chemical synthesis using potassium peroxy disulphate as an oxidant by varying the aniline to surfactant ratio. The solubility of the chemically prepared surfactant doped polyaniline (PANI) was ascertained and it showed good solubility in dimethyl sulfoxide (DMSO), dimethylformamide (DMF), acetone, acetonitrile, ethanol, aceticacid, trichloroethylene, dichloromethane, tetrahydrofuran, ethylacetate, diethylether, toluene, chloroform and sparingly soluble in n-hexane and water. The prepared polymers were characterized by fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR), UV-visible, X-ray diffraction (XRD), cyclic voltammetric (CV), EIS and scanning electron microscopy (SEM). The analysis of UV-visible and FTIR showed that aniline has been polymerized to PANI in its conducting emeraldine form. FTIR spectra showed that the peaks at 1670, 3315 and 1400 cm-1 corresponded to PFO. FTIR spectra showed that amine peak observed at 1593 cm-1 was shifted to lower wave number due to the interaction between PANI and the surfactant. SEM analysis showed that the variation in morphology of doped PANI was predominantly dependent on the concentration of the surfactant. Elemental analysis was done by energy dispersive spectroscopic (EDAX) which shows the presence of C, N, O, S and F. XRD pattern showed that the formation of nanosized (18 nm) and crystalline polymer. CV studies of the synthesized polymer exhibited good adherent behavior on electrode surface. It exhibited three oxidation peaks at approximately 0.283 V, 0.541 V and 0.989 V and two reduction peaks at 0.1421 and 0.3854 V. Electrical conductivity of PFO doped PANI was studied by impedance spectroscopic method.

Dielectric barrier discharge is used as a cheap technique for surface treatment of polycarbonate. The discharge system is working in open air at atmospheric pressure. The treatments are carried out at low discharge powers (1.5 and 2 W) for treatment time (2.5 - 15 min). The treated samples show decrease in the contact angle and increase in the crystallinity, thermal stability and surface roughness. The effect of ozone on the increase in the oxygen containing functional groups is discussed. The treatment process shows effective limitation of the migration of bisphenol A from the surface of polycarbonate due to the cross linking. Zero migration of bisphenole A is recorded as the sample is treated for 7.5 min. The treatment process is found to be very efficient with very low cost.
Spectrophotometric method was used to evaluate the kinetic of the complex formation from the reaction between H[Ru(III)Cl2(H2EDTA)] and the modifier agent [3-(2-aminoethyl)aminopropyl] trimethoxysilane (AEATS) (μ = 0.50 mol.dm-3 with NaCF3COO, 298.15 K), in pseudo-first order conditions. These studies showed that the reactions are successives producing several species influenced by the concentrations ratio. The electronics spectrum of all solutions showed a band in 457 nm with variable molar absorptivity (ε).
In this study, we report the microwave assisted synthesis of Phospholamban protein (WT-PLB) as a new gold standard in solid phase peptide synthesis. Microwave energy offers benefits for both the coupling and deprotection reactions during peptide synthesis. The use of microwave energy for both the coupling and deprotection steps makes the microwave peptide synthesizers the most versatile and powerful systems available. It produces high yield and fast synthesis when compared to conventional peptide synthesizers.
