
Aim: This study aims to assess the impact of urban regeneration measures on the quality of life of residents of target neighborhoods in the city of Torbat Heydariyeh. Material & Method: This research was based on a descriptive-analytical method, and field data were collected. Then the field data were analyzed using SPSS and ArcGIS software. To measure the data, statistical tests (T-test) and a correlation coefficient matrix in SPSS software are used. To examine the maps of the desired level and success of regeneration in the target neighborhoods, the environment (Arc Map) has been used. Finding:: that among the indicators for recreating the worn-out texture of the target neighborhoods of city, the social index with (3.17) was identified as a successful indicator, the environmental index with (3.06) as a relatively successful indicator, the economic index with (2.45) as a relatively unsuccessful indicator, and the physical index with (2.38) as an unsuccessful indicator in recreating the target neighborhoods, respectively. By measuring these indicators, the quality of life of the residents of the target neighborhoods in this city also showed that Shahid Chamran neighborhood with (1.455) was identified as a desirable neighborhood, Shahid Hasheminejad neighborhood with (1.432) as a relatively desirable neighborhood, Molki neighborhood with (1.372) as a relatively undesirable neighborhood, and Ghasemabad neighborhood with (1.315) as an undesirable neighborhood in terms of the quality of life of residents in the neighborhood regeneration process. Conclusion: Among the indicators (economic, physical, and environmental), the social index has had the most significant impact and desirability in recreating the target neighborhoods of city. Innovation: In addition to measuring the quality of life of residents of target neighborhoods using field methods, maps of the success and desirability of urban regeneration have been identified separately in different neighborhoods based on the research-determined indicators.
Aim: This study aimed to explore the factors influencing the adoption of new irrigation systems in Golpayegan County, Isfahan Province, using the modified Innovation Diffusion Theory (IDT). Material & Method: This research is quantitative, applied, and descriptive-correlational, and uses a survey method, with 363 farmers selected randomly using Cochran's formula. Determining the sample size using Cochran's formula (363 farmers), participants were randomly selected. Data were collected through a structured questionnaire, which was validated by experts in the field, and its reliability was confirmed with Cronbach’s alpha (ranging from 0.71 to 0.94). The analysis was conducted using SPSS20 software. Finding: The results revealed that social support and the informal information sources increase the willingness to adopt innovative irrigation practices. Among the variables in the attitude category, "observability" has the highest positive coefficient, meaning that the greater the ability to observe the benefits of modern irrigation systems, the higher the likelihood of their acceptance. Additionally, the variables of "relative advantage" and "trialability" also play significant roles in this regard. Conclusion: The prominent role of social support and informal information sources in explaining the willingness of irrigated wheat farmers to adopt modern irrigation systems suggests that strengthening social and informational networks can serve as effective strategies for promoting new agricultural technologies. Moreover, the importance of observability of the advantages of these systems emphasizes the necessity of providing practical evidence of their effectiveness. Therefore, policymakers should consider the fact that clear and observable information can play a crucial role in changing attitudes and facilitating the adoption of new technologies. These findings clearly illustrate the need to integrate social and economic approaches in technology development programs. Innovation: Among the most important innovative and practical aspects of the research is the presentation of acceptance models based on the influential factors in the utilization of drip irrigation technology in arid and semi-arid regions, which can assist policymakers and planners in this field.
Aim: Iran's geographical location has caused a large part of its regions to include arid and semi-arid regions. Given the high sensitivity of these areas to environmental degradation, the spread of desertification is considered one of the most important environmental hazards in these areas. Given the importance of the issue, this study aims to identify areas at risk of desertification in Qom provinceMaterials & Methods: In this research, Google Earth images, MODIS satellite images, CHIRPS, and 30-meter digital elevation model have been used as the most important research data. The most important tools used in the research include Google Earth Engine, ArcGIS, and Super Decisions. Also, NDVI, weighted linear combination (WLC), and analytical network (ANP) models have been used. The general method of work in this research has been based on 9 parameters (vegetation density, dust concentration, average precipitation, average temperature, aridity coefficient, elevation, slope, distance from main road, and distance from urban areas), as well as the combined WLC-ANP model. Areas vulnerable to desertification risk have been identified.Finding: Based on the results, a large part of the central areas of Qom province is affected by low vegetation density, high dust concentration, high aridity coefficient, low average rainfall, high temperature, low altitude, and proximity to urban areas and main roads. It has a very high potential for vulnerability to desertification.Conclusion: The overall results of this study have shown that the central regions of Qom province are highly sensitive to the risk of desertification, so special attention should be paid to this issue in environmental planning, especially in plans related to land use changes.Innovation: The innovation of this research is the combined use of Google Earth Engine and geomorphological parameters, and only areas with an NDVI coefficient greater than 0.1 were selected as study areas. The results of this research can be used in various environmental planning.
Aim: One of the important issues in urban planning is the reduction of intra-city trips and achieving a sustainable environment. 15-minute cities are among the ideas presented in this direction. The present study aims to evaluate this issue in Mashhad city, with a focus on the 9th district. Materials & Methods: The research method is descriptive-analytical.The components related to the 15-minute city were identified in four categories as diversity, density, proximity, and digitization. To measure the diversity criteria, all the activities of the region were collected in the form of 7 user categories and 76 activity categories. In the following, spatial analysis models, including density models, network analysis, and the "service area" function, were utilized to determine the position of each part of the range in terms of its ability to upgrade to the city of Fifteen Minutes, based on the criteria in question and the combination of layers produced. Finding: The results showed that from the intersection of the time-space traffic calculations on the one hand and the spatial criteria of the fifteen-minute city on the other hand, the studied area has four different situations. In the meantime, areas with the ability to reach the city in 15 minutes and less presence of cars have a better ability to reach the city in 15 minutes. Conclusion: It can be said that paying attention to the principles of the fifteen-minute city can play an important role in reducing traffic and intra-city trips in the 9th district of Mashhad. Innovation: A key aspect of the research's innovation is the method of data collection, particularly in preparing the user layer and analyzing business activity in the study area, utilizing map tools, and implementing the Fifteen Minute City theme.
Aim: The present article is derived from a study conducted to explore the status and factors affecting the participation of Zahedan citizens in urban affairs. Material & Method: This study is based on an integrated theoretical framework based on the theories of Daniel Lerner, Robert Putnam, Kevin Lynch, and Melvin Seaman, and was conducted as a cross-sectional survey using a questionnaire. The study's statistical population was all residents of Zahedan aged 15 to 60 years, and the sample size was 428 people, based on the Cochran formula, who were selected using a multi-stage cluster sampling method. Finding: The results show that overall, the level of willingness and experience of citizens to participate in urban affairs is above average. Therefore, the readiness of Zahedan citizens to participate in urban affairs can be assessed as appropriate. The explanatory results show that citizens' willingness to participate in urban affairs has a significant and direct relationship with their level of education, level of social vitality, level of sense of place, level of previous participation of citizens, level of satisfaction with visiting the municipality, and level of listening to national radio. There is also a significant and inverse relationship between citizens' willingness to participate in urban affairs and their level of use of the Internet. Finally, citizens' willingness to participate in urban affairs has a significant relationship with their activity status. So that citizens' employment increases their willingness to participate. Conclusion: Finally, it should be emphasized that empowering people in urban decision-making and planning processes, in addition to improving social skills, also helps increase public trust. Therefore, urban managers should consider active citizen participation as one of the main pillars of development in order to build a dynamic society with actual capacities. Innovation: By utilizing an integrated theoretical framework and examining a wide range of variables, this research presents findings that can assist Zahedan city officials in improving citizens’ participation in urban affairs by strengthening their sense of belonging and satisfaction.
Aim: This research is applied in terms of purpose and descriptive-analytical in terms of method and nature, aiming to identify and analyze the critical variables in the water management of Ardabil city. Materials & Methods: To collect the required data, library studies, articles, research papers, and upstream documents were used. Additionally, 30 experts and specialists in the water sector of Ardabil were selected using the snowball sampling method. Subsequently, a Delphi questionnaire was distributed in two stages among the expert panel members to determine the influential factors in Ardabil's water sector. Thirty-five variables across seven main indicators were selected, and a variable matrix table was formed to score and determine the relationships between the variables. In the second stage, the MICMAC software was used to identify the key drivers, and the matrix table scores were entered into the software. Finding: After calculations by the MICMAC software, 12 variables were identified as critical variables. The results revealed that among the main indicators, the technical indicator had the most significant impact. However, the variables "increasing water prices" and "subsidy removal" had the highest level of importance and priority among the 12 key variables. Conclusion: The results indicated that to address Ardabil's water issue, special attention must be paid to variables such as increasing water prices and subsidy removal, preventing migration to the city, investment in infrastructure, improving the water distribution system, and water management. These should be prioritized in the work agenda of Ardabil's city managers. Innovation: The most significant issue was the lack of a futures studies perspective in addressing Ardabil's water challenges. Additionally, the use of diverse variables and different indicators to identify key factors in Ardabil's water management through MICMAC software played a fundamental role in the research outcomes.
Aim: The objective of this research is to investigate and analyze the extra-territorial Jurisdiction policies of Ahvaz, with an emphasis on the influence of the political economy of space on the formation and implementation of these policies. Materials & Method: The present research is of an applied type; its method is descriptive and analytical and its collection is survey. To measure the main concept of the research, namely the political economy of space, the concepts have been divided into 4 dimensions and each dimension has several policies. In order to conduct a descriptive test of the components and variables, the t-test was used to determine the intensity, and to examine the factor structure of a set of observed variables, confirmatory factor analysis was used. Finding: The managerial and governance dimension, with a factor loading of 1.68, was identified as the most important factor. Next, the social factor with a factor loading of 1.42, the economic factor with a factor loading of 1.33, and finally, the spatial factor with a factor loading of 0.16 were ranked as the least important. Conclusion: The results indicate that the lack of coordination between government policies and urban management in Ahvaz has led to the weakening of metropolitan extra-territorial jurisdiction cohesion. Poor coordination between governmental and local institutions has increased the challenges of extra-territorial jurisdiction management. Economic development and investment processes have significantly impacted land use in the metropolitan extra-territorial jurisdiction. Innovation: Among the important applications of this research's findings are assisting policymakers and urban managers in developing comprehensive plans for optimal extra-territorial jurisdiction, enhancing decision-makers' awareness of the consequences of existing policies, providing suggestions for their modification or optimization, and strengthening the connection between planning.
Aim: The qanat is a globally recognized cultural heritage originating in Iran, symbolizing the ingenuity of its people in adapting to a water-scarce environment. It is expected that students, through their education, would gain comprehensive knowledge of the functions of this technology within the six educational domains outlined in Iran's Fundamental Transformation Document for Education. However, this expectation has not been fulfilled. Meanwhile, a group of students from Kahrezsang city has voluntarily collaborated with residents to restore the historic qanat in their hometown. Since, according to Bandura's social learning theory, students' participation in this process can lead to observation, imitation, modeling, and acquisition of new knowledge, their lived experience in the context of the aqueduct was studied. Material & Method: A phenomenological approach was employed for this research. The study population consisted of secondary school students from Kahrezsang who participated in the qanat restoration process. Semi-structured interviews were conducted with 16 participants until theoretical saturation was achieved. Data analysis was performed using thematic analysis, encompassing three types of coding: open, axial, and selective. Finding: Due to their direct involvement in the qanat restoration process, students acquired extensive knowledge, experiences, and positive attitudes. Over 70 open codes were extracted from their accounts, which were organized into 23 axial codes and 10 selective codes. Conclusion: The extracted codes align with the six educational domains defined in the Fundamental Transformation Document for Education. It can be concluded that students' participation in qanat restoration provided supplementary learning that compensated for many deficiencies in the formal curriculum. Innovation: It is recommended that students be encouraged to engage in informal local activities, enabling them to acquire new knowledge, experiences, and attitudes. This approach could address existing shortcomings in school-based education and achieve the desired objectives outlined in the Fundamental Transformation Document for Education.
Aim: This research aims to investigate novel strategies for sustainable development in garden cities, with an emphasis on green economy and sustainable tourism.Given challenges such as unsustainable resource exploitation, diminishing per capita green space, and financial weaknesses, this study seeks to propose a model for the optimal management of garden cities toward balanced economic and environmental development.Utilizing urban gardens as a sustainable development strategy can contribute to improving urban living conditions.Materials & Methods: This research is categorized as applied research due to its objective.Data collection methods included document analysis, field studies, and a comparative review of successful global experiences in the sustainable development of garden cities.Data were gathered and interpreted through content analysis of theoretical sources and practical experiences.The study's scope encompasses the endowed gardens of Astan Quds Razavi in Mashhad city.Finding: The results indicate that integrating green economy principles (such as the use of renewable energies, sustainable agriculture, and resource management) with a sustainable tourism approach can lead to the creation of new economic opportunities, increased local community participation, and a reduction in negative environmental impacts.Furthermore, strategic planning based on these approaches enhances operational efficiency and increases the resilience of urban systems.Conclusion: Based on the findings, it can be concluded that the development of garden cities necessitates the integration of environmental and economic strategies.Designing localized models founded on green economy principles and sustainable tourism can pave the way for intelligent resource management, enhancement of social capital, and the realization of long-term sustainability in Iranian cities.Innovation: A key innovative and practical aspect of this research is the design of a strategic model for the development of garden cities, based on the integration of green economy and sustainable tourism.This model is generalizable to other urban spaces with similar characteristics and can serve as a basis for policymaking and decision-making for planning institutions.
Aim: This study aims to evaluate the livability status of the study area while identifying the dimensions and indicators of this approach challenged by the spread of the COVID-19 pandemic and exhibiting unfavorable performance. Materials & Methods: Employing a practical approach, this study utilizes a descriptive-analytical argumentative pattern and combines quantitative and qualitative data through documentary-survey methods. The statistical population of the research is the residents of the Golestan neighborhood, and based on the Cochran method and considering an error coefficient of 0.07, 200 people were selected as the sample size. With field visits, a three-part questionnaire consisting of demographic information, evaluation of research variables based on the Likert scale, and semi-structured background questions were distributed among them using a simple random sampling method. After completing the questionnaire, the data were prepared using Excel software for entry into SPSS and Smart-PLS software. In this study, structural equation modeling was used as the main research approach in statistical analysis. Findings: The results reveal that dimensions such as healthcare and the environment were more vulnerable than others during the COVID-19 pandemic, exhibiting undesirable performance. Indicators related to transportation, environmental quality, and access to healthcare facilities were significantly affected, negatively impacting the area's livability. Overall, Koy-e Golestan's livability status during the COVID-19 pandemic was deemed unfavorable. Conclusion: This study underscores the importance of prioritizing access to healthcare, environmental quality, and flexible transportation systems in enhancing urban livability resilience during pandemics. Policymakers and urban planners can utilize these findings to inform targeted interventions aimed at improving urban livability and resilience in the face of future health crises. Innovation: One of the key innovative and practical aspects of this research is the comprehensive assessment of dimensions and indicators of urban livability during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Aim: This study aims to assess the geotourism potential of Tabas County and analyze the region’s natural and geological tourism capacities using the Brilha and GAM models. Additionally, the research focuses on evaluating the degradation risk of geosites and proposing strategies for the sustainable development of tourism in the area.Materials & Methods: The data were collected through field surveys, document analysis, and library research. To analyze the geosites in the region, the Brilha and GAM models were employed. In the Brilha model, geosites were assessed based on four main criteria as scientific value, educational potential, touristic potential, and degradation risk. Finding: Geosites such as the Nayband Fault (209), Halvan Desert (194), and Shotoran Mountains (179) possess the highest scientific and touristic capacities and could become major geotourism destinations. In terms of touristic-educational potential, the Kal Sardar (375), Morteza Ali Hot Spring (352), and Naybandan Wildlife Refuge (348) geosites received the highest scores. Furthermore, the Halvan Desert (315), Pir Hajat Doline (280), and Kal Jenni (295) geosites were found to be at the most significant risk of degradation due to human activities and resource extraction.Conclusion: It can be concluded that Tabas County, with its unique geosites, holds significant potential for the development of scientific, natural, and cultural tourism. To ensure the sustainable utilization of these capacities, the implementation of proper management policies and protective measures is essential. Moreover, focusing on scientific and educational assessments can play a key role in both conserving these geotourism attractions and promoting them to nature-oriented tourists.Innovation: The integration of quantitative geosite assessment with degradation risk analysis in a global geopark located in an arid region. By emphasizing the conservation challenges of vulnerable geosites, the study offers a framework for prioritizing management and protection interventions.
Aims: The satisfaction of tourists is considered one of the most important competitive factors and the best indicator to guarantee the future growth and development of tourist destinations. So, according to experts, the level of satisfaction of tourists is an important criterion for measuring the quality and efficiency of services provided in tourist destinations and plays a significant role in the return of tourists and their loyalty to tourist destinations. The purpose of this research is to investigate the factors affecting the satisfaction of tourists in Yazd city. Materials & Methods: The purpose of this research is to investigate the factors affecting the satisfaction of tourists in Yazd city. The current research is applied in terms of its purpose, nature, and method. It is a descriptive-analytical study employing a specific method. The information is documentary (a combination of library and field) and field (questionnaire). Findings: Based on the results of the PLS structural equation testing, the tourism management characteristic variable with a total impact coefficient of (0.933) had the greatest impact on tourist satisfaction, followed by the components of the general characteristic of the region (0.735), public services (0.697), accommodation services (0.576), catering services (0.535), and complementary factors (0.130) that are effective on tourist satisfaction. Conclusion: The results showed that tourists' satisfaction has a great impact on the direction of its economic benefits. Therefore, increasing satisfaction with how to choose the route to reach attractive points, avoiding confusion in navigation, accessing services and facilities, and meeting the expectations of tourists can increase the desire to return to the destination. Innovation: The innovation of this research is in the study area and research indicators.
Aim: In recent years, social capital has been increasingly viewed—especially in rural development studies—as a key factor for achieving development goals. As various opportunities for generating and strengthening social capital emerge, the potential for rural development also increases. Accordingly, this study examines the spatial distribution and spatial patterns of social capital in the rural settlements of Ardel County.Materials & Methods: Accordingly, first, social capital indicators in the sample villages were examined using a questionnaire. This research is applied in terms of its purpose and utilizes a survey approach for data collection. Additionally, it is a case study with a descriptive-analytical and correlational design. In this research, both documentary (library) and field methods were used to collect information. The TOPSIS model was used to rank and develop the sample villages, and the global Moran, High_low, local Moran, and Hot_Spot indices were used to analyze the spatial pattern of sample villages based on the social capital index.Finding: This means that the distribution of capital at the village level is random. This claim was confirmed based on the value of the global Moran index, which was equal to -0.041. The results of the local Moran, High-Low, Hotspot, and Hotspot indices also indicate this.Conclusion: The analysis of the spatial pattern of social capital showed that the distribution of social capital among the selected villages in Ardal County is random. This suggests that investment at the village level is also randomly distributed. The distribution of villages in terms of social capital is heterogeneous in different parts of Ardel County, and there is no clear demarcation of villages based on the amount of their social capital.Innovation: One of the most important innovative and applied aspects of the research is the use of spatial analysis in examining the effects of social capital on rural development.
Aim: This study aims to investigate the relationship between vegetation and morphometric indices with soil erosion rates in the Meshkin Chay watershed using the Revised Universal Soil Loss Equation (RUSLE) model. Materials & Method: To achieve the research objective, the RUSLE empirical model was employed to estimate annual soil erosion. For this purpose, various datasets were utilized, including rainfall data from the Meteorological Organization, a 1:250,000 soil texture map obtained from the Forests, Rangelands and Watershed Management Organization of Iran, a 30-meter Digital Elevation Model (DEM), and Landsat 9 satellite imagery. These datasets were integrated in a Geographic Information System (GIS) environment, and following the overlay of all relevant layers, the average soil erosion rate across the watershed was calculated. Subsequently, vegetation and morphometric indices were analyzed to assess their influence on the soil erosion process using ArcMap, and erosion zonation maps were generated.Finding: The results indicated that soil loss across the entire watershed ranged from 0 to 108.61 tons per hectare per year, with a total annual soil erosion estimate of 50.89 tons per hectare per year. Additionally, the relationship between vegetation and morphometric indices with annual soil erosion was examined. Among these indices, the slope index showed the highest influence and a statistically significant correlation with annual soil erosion, accounting for 74% of the variation in soil erosion. Conclusion: This study generated a soil erosion risk map for the Meshkin Chay watershed using the RUSLE model and GIS analysis. The findings revealed that slope, vegetation cover, slope curvature, and topography indices had the strongest correlations with annual soil erosion, with their impacts being statistically significant.Innovation: The novelty of this study lies in the integration of vegetation and morphometric indices to assess their combined effect on soil erosion within the Meshkin-Chay watershed.
Aim: The current research aims to assess the vitality of urban spaces and their impact on social life in Piranshahr.Materials & Method: The research method in the present study is quantitative and explanatory in terms of purpose and in terms of application; the results are of the type of applied research; in order to analyze the data, a partial least squares model was used in Smart-pls software and t, and Pearson tests were used in SPSS software. The statistical population of the research also includes the citizens of Piranshahr; the sample size of 384 people was determined using Cochran's method.Finding: The research findings indicate that among the indicators of vitality, three perceptual-aesthetic, identity-meaning, and physical indicators have a statistical value higher than 2.58, and their significance is notable at a 99% confidence level. Additionally, two safety, sanitary, and performance indicators have a lower statistic of 1.96, and their situation is unfavorable in Piranshahr. Additionally, among the indicators of social life in urban spaces, two indicators of social interaction and social belonging are statistically significant at the 95% confidence level, and the social responsiveness index is in an unfavorable situation.Conclusion: The results indicate a significant relationship between the components of vitality and social life in urban spaces at the 95% confidence level, suggesting that an increase in vitality has led to an improvement in social life.Innovation: Urban vitality plays a crucial role in enhancing city livability and shaping social life. This issue is particularly vital in border areas like Piranshahr, which face various social, economic, and physical challenges. The study’s innovation lies in emphasizing vitality as a driver of improved social life in border towns, providing insights for effective future planning in Piranshahr.
Aim: This study investigates the impact of climate change and land use on runoff in the Kahneh watershed, located in a semi-arid region of Khorasan Razavi. Materials & Methods: The study employed the SCS method to estimate runoff. The ArcGIS watershed tool was used to identify sub-watersheds, resulting in the delineation of eight sub-watersheds. A 72-mm, 24-hour rainfall event was used to simulate runoff. This approach enabled a comprehensive understanding of how various land uses and climatic factors contribute to runoff generation.Findings: The results showed that the highest runoff production occurred in sub-basin K3 with 65.5 mm, while the lowest runoff was observed in K7 with 30.5 mm. At the watershed scale, the total runoff produced reached 359.2 mm. When calculating runoff per unit area (in million cubic meters), sub-basins 2 and 8 showed the highest runoff production. In total, the overall runoff volume produced across the entire watershed amounted to approximately 6 million cubic meters. To assess the potential impacts of climate change on future runoff patterns, rainfall simulation was also conducted in this study. The results of this research clearly demonstrate that climate change, particularly reduced precipitation under the SSP245 and SSP5 scenarios, could lead to a significant decrease in runoff across the watershed and its sub-basins. Conclusion: The HadGEM3-GC31-LL climate model was employed to simulate climate change effects in two scenarios: SSP245 and SSP585 from 2024 to 2050. The findings revealed that precipitation is expected to decrease in both scenarios, with greater variability and an increased likelihood of intense rainfall events in the SSP585 scenario.Innovation: The results highlight the importance of proactive flood-risk management and water-conservation strategies in semi-arid regions to safeguard both water resources and agricultural productivity.
Aim: One of the most significant measures to reduce the destructive impact of fine dust on the environment and human health is dust source detection and conducting specialized studies on them. This study aims to assess the potential of the Hur al-Azim sabkhas in generating dust.Material & Method: A combination of field, laboratory analyses, and the WASPAS multi-criteria decision-making model was applied. The parameters used include salinity, moisture, PH, specific gravity, sodium absorption ratio, and the amount of clay, silt, and sand, as well as vegetation maps and land surface temperature. The Shannon entropy weighting method was used, and the options were prioritized using the WASPAS model. The final 5-class map of the potential for fine dust production was then prepared based on this model.Finding: The findings illustrated that 18.84 percent of the area is in the very high-risk category, 30.50 percent is in the medium-risk category, and 14.85 percent is in the low-risk category. The southern parts of the region are classified as very high and high risk, the central parts as medium risk, and the northern parts of the western region as low and very low risk.Conclusion: The results align with the maps of dust origin and sources in Khuzestan province, which include the dried parts of the Hor-e-Azim wetland and its surrounding areas. It can be said that the study area is one of the most significant sources of dust production in the country.Innovation: A combination of field and laboratory studies and the use of the WASPAS multi-criteria decision-making model was employed to assess the potential of the existing sabkhas in the Hor al-Azim wetland in producing dust, for the first time in this study using physicochemical properties of the region's soils.
Aim: To explain the upcoming scenarios and present the optimal scenario of the LULC system in line with the sustainability of rural settlements of Koohpayeh-Segzi Sub-basin in the horizon of 1425 AD.Materials & Methods: This research employs a descriptive-analytical method and is categorized as applied and exploratory research, in line with its purpose. The required data were collected through library research, a review of sources, and expert questioning. To analyze the data and collect information, the MICMAC software and Scenario Wizard were used. Findings: The results of this research showed that 66.7% of the 54 states are in unfavorable and critical conditions, and 11% are in the favorable state. Also, in less than 22.3%, it is the continuation of the current trend, and based on this, the LULC system is moving towards an unfavorable future in the horizon of 1425. Conclusion: Based on the research findings, taking urgent measures in this field and within this local territory is mandatory and necessary, particularly in light of the key drivers and future scenarios. The future scenarios of the LULC system in this sub-basin show the occurrence of critical conditions in the future horizon, and in other words, in this period of instability, unfavorable and essential conditions of the rural settlements of this territory will not be far from expected, and the first scenario can be considered the only favorable scenario and idea. Aim: This research aims to determine the zoning of the Galli erosion event in the north of Ahvaz.Materials & Methods: Digital layers of effective factors in Galli erosion, including height, slope, geological formations, land use, distance from the river, watercourse density, and distance from the road, were prepared in ArcGIS 10.8. In the following, the layers of the research were calculated with the methods of frequency ratio, statistical index, and Shannon entropy, and in the last stage, the accuracy of the research models was checked using the indexes of density ratio, quality summation, and accuracy.Finding: The frequency ratio method results show that land use influences a large part of the ditch erosion in the studied area (4.10). Non-observance of the correct principles of cultivation and crop rotation in agricultural lands, land use change, and erosion of water flow have disrupted soil texture and structure, and made it sensitive to the erosion of the ditch in the north of Ahvaz. Conclusion: Based on the findings of the research, it can be said that not having an all-round view of the studied area, cross-sectional changes in waterways, and inappropriate design in the outlets of the Karun basin cause the concentration of watersheds and the beginning of ditch erosion in the north of Ahvaz. Innovation: A significant part of gully erosion in the studied area is caused by the influence of climatic factors, geology, and human interference; although many effective factors in creating and intensifying gully erosion have been identified, the diversity and change of the number and the degree of influence of different factors from one point to another and the different contribution of their participation in the formation and expansion of ditches depends on the geo-environmental conditions.
Aim: The sharing economy is a new phenomenon that represents an innovative business model that can serve as a potential path for sustainable economic development. Considering that inequality in competitiveness causes national crises, special attention should be paid to the economic development of border cities in order to strengthen the national economy. Birjand city, has played several roles in its sphere of influence, therefore, strengthening the economic power of this city is very significant. The main idea, is the transition to the sharing economy by identifying the drivers effective in increasing the competitiveness of this city.Material & Method: The approach is future research and its method is a combination of library and field studies. The nature of the research is analytical and its purpose is development-applied. After reviewing the theoretical literature and consulting with experts in the field of urban planning, finally 5 variables and 39 indicators have been selected. In the next step, to determine the drivers, 30 experts were asked to evaluate the influences in the Matrix of Direct Influence in Mic Mac software.Finding: Based on the results of data analysis, indicators of consumption patterns and sustainable development and creation of new jobs are the most influence indicators, and indicators of government support for knowledge-based and innovative businesses and technological potential are the most dependence indicators.Conclusion: Considering the strategic location of Birjand city, it is possible to take advantage of strategies such as strategic investment in the formation of digital trading platforms in order to exchange goods in order to strengthen the identified drivers and develop the economy of Birjand city.Innovation: The innovation of this research is to examine all the variables in strengthening the sharing economy as a new approach in order to improve the competitiveness of cities, especially border cities, which has not been addressed in previous researches
