This study aims to determine whether students’ mathematical problem-solving ability taught using the problem-based learning model assisted by GeoGebra is higher than that of students taught using conventional learning in Grade IX of State Junior High School 45 Medan in the academic year 2025/2026. The research method used was a quasi-experimental method. The sample of this study consisted of two classes, namely class IX-2 as the control class and class IX-3 as the experimental class. Based on the results of the study, it was found that the mathematical problem-solving ability of students in the experimental class showed a significant improvement with an average pretest score of 56.13 and a posttest score of 81.33. The results of the mathematical problem-solving ability test of students in the control class also showed significant improvement with an average pretest score of 57.7 and a posttest score of 73.23. Based on the t-test results, it was obtained that t_hitung > t_tabel was 9.0418 > 2.002, which means that the mathematical problem-solving ability of students taught using the problem-based learning model assisted by GeoGebra is higher than that of students taught using conventional learning
This research aims to develop an Electronic Learner Worksheet (E-LKPD) based on Problem-Based Learning (PBL) using Liveworksheet to improve students' mathematical problem-solving abilities. The study employed the ADDIE development model, which consists of five stages: analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. The research subjects were 30 eighth-grade students at UPT SMP Negeri 35 Medan. The results indicated that the E-LKPD was valid, with an average score of 87% from media experts and 95% from material experts. The developed teaching module was also deemed valid, with an average score of 95%. The E-LKPD was considered practical, based on student responses (95%) and teacher responses (93%). Its effectiveness was demonstrated by an increase in learning outcomes from pretest to posttest by 28 points, with an N-Gain score of 0.66 (medium category). Students’ mathematical problem-solving skills also improved, as shown by the increase in the number of students achieving mastery from 13% to 93%, and an increase in the average score from 59 to 87.
Mathematical problem-solving ability is a fundamental competence in the Merdeka Curriculum, demanding student adaptability to global challenges. However, empirical reality reveals low student achievement due to the dominance of conventional teaching methods that overlook students' cognitive diversity. This study offers a solution through the integration of the Problem-Based Learning (PBL) model with the Teaching at the Right Level (TaRL) approach to create inclusive and adaptive learning. The objective is to systematically evaluate the distribution profile, integration patterns, and effectiveness of this model on students' mathematical abilities. This study employed a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) method using the PRISMA protocol to ensure methodological rigor. The selection process involved screening 991 initial articles from Google Scholar, ERIC, and Scopus, filtering 50 duplicates and 880 irrelevant entries, resulting in 22 empirical articles published between 2020–2025. The concrete results indicate a significant upward trend in publications, with a dominant integration pattern where TaRL is applied through content differentiation in the orientation phase and process differentiation in the investigation phase. The implementation of this model effectively enhances problem-solving skills and mathematical literacy by keeping learning challenges within the students' Zone of Proximal Development (ZPD). This study contributes to the literature by providing a specific pedagogical framework for integrating PBL and TaRL, bridging the gap in heterogeneous classrooms. Future research is suggested to expand on longitudinal studies and the use of adaptive technology to address classroom management constraints.
Education serves as the fundamental foundation in guiding and developing the potential of every individual in order to create a competent and high-quality generation. As an integral process, education plays a crucial role in shaping individuals’ basic abilities, including affective, cognitive, and psychomotor aspects. In an effort to improve learning quality, this study aims to develop Wordwall-based evaluation media on statistical material as an attempt to enhance students’ learning motivation and comprehension. This research employs a Research and Development (R&D) method using the ADDIE model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation). The research stages include needs analysis, material analysis, student analysis, curriculum analysis, media analysis, and product development, to measure the feasibility and effectiveness of the media. Data were obtained through questionnaires, interviews, and evaluation tests, and analyzed using descriptive quantitative techniques. The results indicate that the validation carried out by media experts shows that this learning media is feasible for use, obtaining a score of 67% for all assessed aspects. In addition, material validation yielded a score of 88%, indicating good quality in terms of content. Based on the practicality questionnaires completed by students and teachers, it was found that this media is not only practical in its application, but also able to significantly improve students’ motivation and understanding of statistical material. The Wordwall-based evaluation media is declared effective in improving learning quality by providing an interactive experience relevant to students’ needs. This study contributes to media innovation in learning, particularly in the utilization of technology to support more engaging and efficient learning. These findings are expected to serve as a foundation for the development of similar media in the future.
This study aims to develop and evaluate the quality of a Student Worksheet (LKPD) based on the open-ended approach for the topic of statistics, intended for Grade VIII B students at SMP Masyithoh Kroya. The development of this learning media is designed to facilitate students’ critical thinking skills by meeting the criteria of validity, practicality, and effectiveness. The research method used is Research and Development (R&D) with the ADDIE development model, which consists of the stages: Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. The validation results indicate that the media is considered "Very Valid," with a score of 86.34% from the material expert and 84% from the media expert. The practicality of the media, based on student response questionnaires, scored 71.65%, categorized as "Practical." The effectiveness of the media was determined through test results, showing a mastery level of 96.77%, categorized as "Very Effective." Therefore, the developed open-ended LKPD is proven to be feasible for use in teaching statistics and effective in enhancing students’ critical thinking skills.
