The article presents the methods of service of documents in administrative enforcement proceedings. It analyzes the general rules in this area. Numerous examples of solutions that complement or modify them are also presented. The relationship between the application of the provisions of the Act on Administrative Enforcement Proceedings and the Code of Administrative Procedure in the area of service is outlined. The key problems related to the transition to electronic delivery as the basic method of communication were signaled.
The article presents an analysis of patent applications submitted to the Patent Office in higher education, on the example of selected technical universities. Statistics on patent application submissions at Polish technical universities were analyzed. The functioning of the Patent Office of the Republic of Poland, the process of obtaining patents and the types of decisions that the office may issue were discussed. Legal and procedural aspects related to the protection of inventions were also highlighted, including the possibility of appealing against official decisions. The analysis of statistics in the discussed area from 2019–2023 aims to determine the activity of Polish technical universities in terms of the number of submitted applications for patents.
In recent years technology of blockchain has become one of the most exhilarating and innovative tools in the branch of information technologies. Despite being often associated with cryptocurrencies, its potential exceeds far beyond this sphere. The target of present article is gaining better understanding of blockchain technology and its practical use in a public administration using Estonia as an example. Estonia has long been considered for world leader in the field of digitalizing public services and use of blockchain has been integral part of the process. The main research problem that was discussed in this article is a question, in which way blockchain could be used in public administration, to improve efficiency of service, to elevate level of transparency and to enhance a trust of citizens. Analysis applications of blockchain technology in public administration, by way of example Estonia allows to state that this innovative technology has a significant potential in which way states deliver public services and manage citizen’s data.
Among the demographic and economic challenges facing Europe, the issue of the human capital of persons with disabilities is gaining crucial importance. An analysis of the situation of this group in Poland, compared to other European Union countries, indicates that the employment of persons with disabilities has not only a social dimension but also significant relevance from a legal and economic perspective. For many years, the low level of awareness regarding the value of professional activation of persons with disabilities in the open labor market has led to neglect in this area in numerous states. The negative consequences of such omissions are felt not only by persons with disabilities themselves but also by the public finances of these countries, with Poland serving as a notable example
The concept of sustainable development is guided by the idea of integrating economic, social and environmental objectives in designing the future. It defines a course of responsible action that does not contradict social and economic interests and is not harmful to the environment. An orientation towards development according to sustainable principles creates multidimensional security for the current functioning and development of the world, hence the multifaceted implementation of sustainable principles in business and the everyday functioning of societies should be an absolute priority. This requires an understanding of sustainable development and knowledge of its objectives. Knowledge in this area should arouse a natural need to consciously act and implement its principles in the system of social behaviour and the mechanics of functioning of economic entities. Undoubtedly, an orientation towards responsibility should be widely promoted. Hence, the aim of this article is to introduce the idea of sustainable development, and to discuss the dimensions of security determined by sustainable development goals. The article is based on a literature review of national and international sources.
