1Constructing a Pentahelix Model for IAD Implementation in Social Forestry-Based Sustainable Development in Lumajang Regency
    Retno Wulan Andari,Moh. Khusaini,Luchman Hakim,Eko Ganis Sukoharsono

Sustainable development based on natural resources requires collaborative governance capable of harmonizing social, economic, and environmental dimensions, particularly in the implementation of social forestry, which continues to face institutional and actor coordination challenges. This study aims to construct a pentahelix model for the implementation of Integrated Area Development (IAD) based on social forestry to support sustainable development in Lumajang Regency. The research employed a qualitative approach with a case study design conducted in the social forestry IAD development areas of Senduro and Pasrujambe Districts. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, field observations, and document analysis involving key stakeholders, including government, academics, industry/UMKM, communities, and financial institutions/cooperatives, and were analyzed using descriptive qualitative methods. The findings indicate that local actors have a relatively strong understanding of the IAD concept, community participation is high, and positive impacts are observed across economic, social, and environmental aspects in line with the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals. The discussion highlights that the community serves as the core actor, supported by synergistic roles of other actors, enabling the constructed Pentahelix–IAD Model to function as a contextual, collaborative, and sustainable operational framework at the regency level.

2The Brimedika Model: Unveiling the Mediating Role of Service Quality Between Green Hospital Aspects and Stakeholder Satisfaction
Widodo Januarso,Sri Andarini,Eko Ganis Sukoharsono, Arief Rachmansyah

The rapid growth of Indonesia’s healthcare sector, reflected in the increasing number of hospitals, has also contributed to environmental degradation. The Green Hospital concept is therefore essential to enhance environmental performance in healthcare facilities. However, low awareness of green practices, limited implementation of Green Hospital indicators, and insufficient stakeholder support remain major challenges. Also, the need for this study was due to the intellectual gap relating to the mediation role of service quality to enhance stakeholder satisfaction in a Green Hospital. This study analyzes a service-quality-based Green Hospital model at Brimedika Hospital, Malang, which has demonstrated a strong commitment to environmental initiatives. Using the Slovin formula, 633 respondents were selected from a population of 1,843 individuals. A quantitative approach was applied through questionnaire distribution, and data were analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling–Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS). The results show that environmental, socio-cultural, and economic dimensions significantly influence service quality, which subsequently increases stakeholder satisfaction. Service quality acts as a strong mediator, while the economic aspect also has a direct effect on satisfaction. Strengthening socio-cultural aspects through improved service quality emerges as the most effective strategy for achieving a sustainable Green Hospital model. The study offers novelty by integrating three sustainability dimensions and demonstrating the central role of service quality in enhancing stakeholder satisfaction. The community benefits the most from the model, followed by patients and workers. Strengthened education, community engagement, and eco-friendly facilities are recommended for future development.

3Pathways of Identity: Sustainable Campus Signage with Digital Integration
Yulika Khairini, Dhea Fatha Barliana, Priambudi Trie Putra, Sri Shindi Indira

The growing need for dependable navigation across the National Institute of Science and Technology (ISTN) emerges as the campus environment becomes more complex. As a higher-education institution in Jakarta, the National Institute of Science and Technology continues to expand its academic and spatial functions, prompting demand for a cohesive wayfinding system that supports daily mobility and reinforces institutional branding. This study adopts a qualitative descriptive approach, grounded in site observation, movement pattern analysis, and the identification of recurring disorientation points, to examine existing navigational conditions across the campus. Based on these findings, a structured and user-focused signage framework is developed to enhance circulation clarity and visual coherence. Readability, consistency, and legibility form the basis of the design strategy, while institutional identity is expressed through controlled formal language, legible typography, and differentiated color cues that assist users in recognizing faculties, departments, and key facilities. Beyond physical signage, the system integrates QR codes to extend navigational and institutional information without disrupting the existing spatial structure. Through this integrated approach, the proposed wayfinding system improves campus legibility while subtly reflecting institutional values embodied in the institution’s motto Wedha Wiyata Wira Sakti, resulting in a coherent, inclusive, and forward-looking campus environment that balances identity, technology, and sustainability

4How Far is Shrimp Head Waste Utilized?
    Ray March Syahadat, Nely Zulfa

This article aims to provide knowledge about the utilization of shrimp head waste in the perspective of environmental innovation management. The method was used by exploring articles through Google Scholar with Harzing's Publish or Perish software and using the keywords utilization of shrimp head waste. The article focuses on looking at the position slot777 of this topic in Indonesia as the largest archipelagic country in the world. Twenty articles published since 2019 were selected and analyzed descriptively. The results obtained, the processing of shrimp head waste can be grouped into three utilization groups. The three groups include: 1) utilization for agriculture, livestock, and fisheries, 2) utilization for food, and 3) utilization for other needs. In general, the processing of shrimp head waste for use is still in the form of products with low economic value. The suggested research direction in the future is shrimp head waste treatment, which has high economic value. The importance of this review is to provide knowledge on achieving environmental sustainability, particularly for Indonesia. It is also considered relevant for countries with coastal and island landscapes

5Experimental Evaluation of Key Fermentation Variables Affecting Bioethanol Production
Zainab Ibrahim S G Adiya, Fodio Abdullahi, Ishaq Umar, Safiya Zaki Bello, Farooq Abubakar Atiku, Bintu Grema Mustafa

The influence of process variables (temperature, agitation speed, and fermentation duration (hours)) during bioethanol production was evaluated with the aim of finding the optimal conditions of bioethanol production from groundnut shells and Saccharomyces cerevisiae yeast. Temperature was evaluated at 30, 35, and 40°C for a 120-hour fermentation duration. The temperature of 35 gave the highest reducing sugar concentration (207mg/dL), bioethanol quantity (134mL), and yield (44.7%). Agitation speed was assessed at 200, 400, and 600 rpm at 35°C, with a fermentation duration of 120 hours. It was found that as the agitation speed increases, the bioethanol quantity and percentage yield also increase in the order 200rpm < 400rpm < 600rpm. The fermentation duration was studied for 120, 240, and 360 hours at 35°C. It showed an opposite trend to that of agitation speed, whereby bioethanol quantity and percentage yield decrease with increasing fermentation duration in the order 120 hours > 240 hours > 360 hours. Based on the conditions investigated in this study, it was concluded that the optimal conditions for bioethanol production using groundnut shells as substrate and Saccharomyces cerevisiae yeast species are at a temperature of 35°C, an agitation speed of 600 rpm, and 120 hours of fermentation duration
