This study investigates the effects of work engagement and job satisfaction on employee performance, highlighting the mediating role of organizational commitment within the framework of the Job Demands–Resources (JD-R) theory. Conducted in the public sector of South Sumatra Province, data was collected from civil servants using a quantitative survey approach and analyzed with Partial Least Squares-Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM). Work engagement and job satisfaction were measured with established multidimensional scales, while organizational commitment and employee performance were assessed using validated constructs. The findings demonstrate that both work engagement and job satisfaction positively and significantly impact employee performance, both directly and indirectly through organizational commitment. Organizational commitment acts as a crucial bridge that transforms motivation and satisfaction into increased task achievement, loyalty, creativity, and responsibility. This integrative model confirms the relevance of psychological resources in sustaining high performance even within bureaucratic environments. The study contributes theoretically by reinforcing the JD-R model’s applicability to public sector contexts, and offers practical insights for human resource management aimed at fostering engagement, satisfaction, and commitment. Recommendations for future research include expanding sample scope and employing longitudinal approaches to capture dynamic changes in employee attitudes and outcomes within government organizations.
This study aims to analyze the effect of digital transformation and organizational support on employee performance with individual readiness for change as a mediating variable at PT Migas Mandiri Pratama East Kalimantan. The research uses a quantitative approach with survey method. The study population is all 70 permanent employees using census sampling technique. Data collection uses questionnaires with 5-point Likert scale. Data analysis uses Partial Least Square-Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) with SmartPLS 4.0. The results show that digital transformation has a positive and significant effect on employee performance, while organizational support has no significant direct effect on employee performance. Both digital transformation and organizational support have positive and significant effects on individual readiness for change. Individual readiness for change has a positive and significant effect on employee performance with the largest effect size among all relationships. Furthermore, individual readiness for change partially mediates the relationship between digital transformation and employee performance, and fully mediates the relationship between organizational support and employee performance. These findings emphasize the critical role of individual readiness for change as a mechanism bridging organizational initiatives with employee performance outcomes.

This study examines the direct and indirect effects of dual-role conflict and job stress on the performance of female lecturers, with work–family balance as a mediating variable. The research employed a quantitative, explanatory approach using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) with 150 respondents—married female lecturers at Universitas Borneo Tarakan. Data were collected using validated instruments adapted from the Occupational Stress Index and the Carlson et al. work–family balance model. The findings reveal that dual-role conflict significantly and negatively affects female lecturer performance both directly and indirectly through reduced work–family balance. In contrast, job stress does not show a significant direct effect but has a significant indirect impact on performance through the mediating role of work–family balance. Additionally, work–family balance emerged as a strong positive predictor of performance. These results highlight the critical role of psychological balance in mitigating the adverse effects of work-related and domestic pressures. The study offers valuable insights for institutions to develop support mechanisms that enable female academics to maintain optimal professional performance while managing multiple roles.

Indonesia has the highest gender gap in ASEAN. This research examines the moderating role of intellectual capital in the relationship between gender diversity and company performance. Data from industrial sector companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange were analyzed using panel data and moderated regression analysis in STATA 17. A supplementary test was also conducted based on IDX board classification. Key findings include: (1) gender diversity negatively impacts firm performance; (2) structural capital weakens the negative effect of gender diversity on firm performance, while capital employed strengthens it; and (3) the positive effect of gender diversity on performance is only evident in companies listed on the main board. The study recommends future research with a broader scope, including countries that have yet to be explored. These insights highlight the complex interaction between gender diversity and intellectual capital in shaping corporate outcomes across different board classifications.
