
BACKGROUND AND HYPOTHESIS:Cognitive behavior therapy for psychosis (CBTp) is effective in reducing psychiatric symptoms. Most CBTp trials have excluded patients with intellectual disabilities, even though intellectual disabilities are associated with an at least 3 times higher psychosis prevalence. More understanding of evidence-based approaches for this population is needed. The aim of this review was to assess the current state of knowledge about CBTp for people with both intellectual disabilities and psychosis. Specifically, the interests were the efficacy and feasibility of CBTp for this population and possible adaptations in clinical practice. STUDY DESIGN:A scoping review on CBTp for people with both psychosis and intellectual disabilities was performed using Cochrane library, EMbase, PUBMED, and PsycINFO, on October first, 2025. STUDY RESULTS:A total of 185 unique articles were identified; full text screening was conducted on 50 of these. Eighteen studies were included. Four case study publications, together describing nine patients, tentatively showed efficacy of CBTp despite intellectual disability. Further, patients with intellectual disability seemed able to understand key elements of CBTp. Preliminary evidence showed that core CBTp components can be kept in place, with only practical adjustments necessary. An overview of these CBTp adjustments is presented. Additionally, 6 trials looking at CBTp outcome moderation showed that cognitive impairments generally do not reduce benefits. CONCLUSION:Cognitive behavior therapy for psychosis seems feasible for people with psychosis and intellectual disabilities, with only practical adjustments necessary. Randomized controlled trials are needed to study the efficacy of CBTp for this population.
BACKGROUND AND HYPOTHESIS:Schizophrenia spectrum disorders (SSDs) span heterogeneous clinical states, from rapidly fluctuating psychosis to rigid, systematized delusions.1 NMDA receptor hypofunction on inhibitory interneurons,2-4 dopaminergic dysregulation,5 and abnormalities of volatility estimation6-10 or precision weighting11-13 have all been implicated, yet a framework linking these mechanisms to spectrum-level heterogeneity remains incomplete. STUDY DESIGN:We developed a biologically plausible predictive-coding model with separable positive and negative prediction error (PE) populations. For clarity, the main text presents a one-dimensional linear Kalman filter. STUDY RESULTS:NMDA hypofunction selectively weakened negative PE, thereby reducing disconfirmatory updating and biasing inference toward prior-consistent interpretations. Gain hyperfunction amplified precision-weighted updating and produced observation-dominated instability. Their interaction reproduced attenuated mismatch responses, reduced illusion susceptibility, and a bias-volatility plane spanning rigid and unstable delusional dynamics. CONCLUSIONS:The model suggests that SSD heterogeneity can be understood as an interaction between sign-selective bias and abnormal precision weighting. This offers a circuit-to-symptom framework and motivates stratification by the asymmetry and overall gain of PE responses.
BACKGROUND AND HYPOTHESIS:Individuals with schizophrenia are at increased risk of type 2 diabetes and diabetes-related complications. Whether the detection of hyperglycemia in individuals with schizophrenia is followed by timely clinical action remains insufficiently understood. We hypothesized that glucose-lowering drug (GLD) treatment would be initiated later in individuals with schizophrenia with elevated glycated hemoglobin (HbA1c) than in matched individuals without schizophrenia, and that this delay would be reflected in worse HbA1c trajectories. STUDY DESIGN:We identified all individuals with schizophrenia aged ≥30 years at the time of the first elevated HbA1c (≥48 mmol/mol) in nationwide Danish registers. These individuals were matched on age, sex, year of elevated HbA1c, and baseline HbA1c with up to five individuals without schizophrenia. In the year following the detection of elevated HbA1c, we compared time to GLD treatment between individuals with and without schizophrenia using a Cox proportional hazard model. Mean HbA1c levels over time were illustrated graphically and compared using linear mixed-effects models. STUDY RESULTS:We identified 1527 individuals with schizophrenia and 7492 matched comparison individuals. In the year following detection of elevated HbA1c, schizophrenia was associated with a slower rate of GLD treatment initiation (hazard rate ratio [HRR] = 0.88, 95% confidence interval [CI]: 0.81-0.94). Consistently, HbA1c decreased more slowly among individuals with schizophrenia. Notably, schizophrenia was associated with a slower rate of GLD treatment initiation among males (HRR = 0.82, 95%CI: 0.74-0.90) but not females (HRR = 0.99, 95%CI: 0.87-1.11). CONCLUSIONS:Schizophrenia was associated with a slower rate of GLD treatment initiation and slower reductions in HbA1c following detection of elevated HbA1c, particularly among males.
BACKGROUND AND HYPOTHESIS:Positive and negative symptoms are core features of schizophrenia and key indicators of antipsychotic efficacy. We aimed to explore the relationship between antipsychotic doses and changes in positive/negative symptoms. STUDY DESIGN:We reviewed the Cochrane Schizophrenia Group register (updated on July-26-2024) and prior systematic reviews to identify fixed-dose randomized controlled trials that assessed the monotherapy effects of 21 antipsychotic drugs in acute schizophrenia. The primary outcome measure was the average change in positive and negative symptoms from the studies' baseline to endpoint, calculated using standard mean differences as the effect size metric. Dose-response relationships were analyzed using random-effects meta-analyses with restricted cubic splines. STUDY RESULTS:Finally, a total of 165 studies were identified. 112 studies with 385 dose arms (37 096 participants) reported positive or negative symptoms and were evaluated in meta-analyses. Most antipsychotics showed parallel dose-response curves for positive and negative symptoms, with a smaller magnitude of effect on negative symptoms-except a few drugs, in particular partial dopamine agonists which had at least equal effect sizes for positive and negative symptoms. In most cases both curves declined until reaching an inflection point, then plateaued or efficacy decreased. CONCLUSIONS:The effects of antipsychotics on negative symptoms are smaller than those on positive symptoms, at least in studies of mostly acutely exacerbated patients. Nevertheless, the dose-response curves for both types of symptoms are relatively parallel. This information can assist clinicians in dosing antipsychotics and has implications for the understanding of the antipsychotic mechanism.
BACKGROUND AND HYPOTHESIS:Psychotic-like experiences (PLEs) confer increased risk for adverse mental health outcomes. Sleep disturbances are associated with PLEs, yet evidence largely relies on retrospective assessments and average sleep parameters, limiting insight into daily-life dynamics. Moreover, the roles of stress exposure in sleep-PLEs associations remain insufficiently understood. This study aimed to address these gaps by examining sleep characteristics, momentary stress, and childhood trauma in relation to PLEs using experience sampling. We hypothesized that individuals with PLEs show poorer and more variable sleep, bidirectional sleep-PLEs associations, stronger stress-related sleep disturbances, and trauma-related alterations in sleep regulation. STUDY DESIGN:Altogether, 99 individuals with PLEs and 102 controls completed the experience sampling across 7 consecutive days. STUDY RESULTS:Individuals with PLEs reported poorer average sleep quality, shorter sleep duration, and greater variability in sleep quality, although differences in sleep quality and its variability were attenuated after adjustment for negative affect. Within the PLEs group, sleep quality, but not sleep duration, showed robust bidirectional within-person associations with PLEs. Daily stress fluctuations were not associated with next-morning sleep, whereas higher between-person stress exposure was related to poorer average sleep quality, with no moderation by PLEs group status. Childhood trauma was not significantly associated with sleep outcomes. CONCLUSIONS:Reduced sleep duration might be a stable feature of PLEs independent of negative affect, while sleep quality is dynamically linked to momentary PLEs. Sleep disturbances in individuals with PLEs seem more closely related to symptom dynamics than to momentary stress and distal developmental risk factors.
BACKGROUND AND HYPOTHESIS:Cognitive and functional impairments are core features of schizophrenia with considerable disease burden. However, the relationships between cognitive performance, functional capacity, and real-world functioning remain incompletely understood. This systematic review aimed to clarify the magnitude and nature of these interrelationships across primary research studies. STUDY DESIGN:A systematic review (PROSPERO CRD42024532729) was conducted across MEDLINE, Embase, PsycINFO, and Cochrane Database. Eligible articles assessed cognitive performance, functional capacity, and real-world functioning in adults with schizophrenia using standard psychometric instruments, and reported quantitative relationships between ≥1 of these constructs. Due to substantial heterogeneity in study designs, outcome measures, and reported metrics, a narrative synthesis was performed. STUDY RESULTS:Overall, 104 articles with unique datasets were included (88 observational, 16 interventional). The relationship between cognitive performance and functional capacity was the most studied (63/104 articles; 60.5%), with predominantly medium-to-large effect sizes. In contrast, associations between cognitive performance and real-world functioning were less frequently reported (43/104 articles, 41.3%) and largely small-to-medium, with only 2 large effect sizes identified. Associations between functional capacity and real-world functioning were variable (41/104 articles; 39.4%) and predominantly small-to-medium, with only 4 large effect sizes reported. Associations were less consistent when examined at the level of specific cognitive or functional domain. CONCLUSIONS:This review highlights the central role of cognition in shaping functional abilities, while reinforcing the complexity of translating these gains into meaningful improvements in everyday functioning. A multimodal, person-centered approach is needed to effectively translate cognitive improvements into meaningful real-world outcomes in people with schizophrenia.
Abstract Objective The data closed-loop-based intelligent transformation of higher vocational English evaluation innovates traditional teaching assessment modes, but brings persistent adaptive psychological pressure to teachers and students. It easily induces typical psychological problems including depression and autism traits, disturbs stable mental states, and seriously hinders the long-term mental health of teaching and learning groups. This paper explores the psychological dilemmas brought by evaluation transformation and feasible breakthrough strategies to alleviate reform-related pressure and maintain positive mental health. Subjects and Methods This study selects teachers and students from multiple higher vocational colleges as research subjects. It adopts literature analysis, professional psychological scale measurement and field interviews to explore the correlation between intelligent evaluation operation, long-term psychological pressure, abnormal mental states and the formation of depressive and autistic symptoms, and summarizes key restrictive factors affecting group mental health. Results Unreasonable data-driven evaluation mechanisms significantly aggravate teachers’ and students’ long-term psychological burden and deteriorate depressive and introverted mental states. The optimized data closed-loop design effectively reduces redundant assessment pressure, alleviates adverse psychological symptoms, and remarkably improves the overall mental health level of teachers and students. Conclusions Scientific optimization of the data closed-loop evaluation mechanism serves as a core breakthrough for resolving psychological predicaments. Rational intelligent reform mitigates cumulative adaptive psychological pressure, corrects deviant mental states, protects group mental health, and realizes the coordinated development of intelligent assessment reform and psychological health construction in higher vocational English education. Abstract Objective This study investigates the impact of Big Data Energy Management Systems (BDEMS) on corporate green performance and employee mental health in high-energy-consumption industries. It specifically examines the mediating effect of energy efficiency improvements and the moderating role of managerial environmental psychology, with particular attention to reducing workplace anxiety disorders. Subjects and Methods A multi-wave survey was conducted across 218 Chinese high-energy-consumption enterprises. Data were collected from senior managers and employees, combining psychological assessments (including anxiety screening and burnout inventories) with objective energy performance indicators. Structural equation modeling was used to analyze the relationships between BDEMS implementation, energy efficiency, managerial environmental psychology, and employee mental health outcomes. Results BDEMS implementation significantly improved both green performance (β = 0.43, p < 0.01) and employee mental health, demonstrating a 32% reduction in work-related anxiety symptoms. Energy efficiency improvement served as a significant partial mediator (effect size = 0.28). Managerial environmental psychology positively moderated the relationship between BDEMS and anxiety reduction (β = 0.31, p < 0.01), with stronger benefits observed when managers exhibited higher environmental awareness. Conclusions Integrating technological systems with psychological support mechanisms is crucial for sustainable corporate development. Enterprises should implement BDEMS while fostering positive managerial environmental attitudes to simultaneously enhance environmental performance and employee mental wellbeing, particularly in reducing anxiety disorders. Abstract Objective This study investigates the psychological synergy between Mandarin prosody and musical rhythm in the international dissemination of "Chinese + Music Healing." It aims to uncover how their coordinated design enhances emotional engagement, cross-cultural acceptance, and mental well-being outcomes for global audiences, thereby informing effective communication strategies. Subjects and Methods A mixed-methods design was employed. First, 20 representative "Chinese + Music Healing" works were acoustically analyzed. Second, 150 international listeners with no Chinese proficiency participated in an experiment, exposed to different versions of the material varying in prosody-rhythm alignment. Their psychological responses were measured using the Positive and Negative Affect Schedule (PANAS), a perceived relaxation scale, and heart rate variability (HRV) monitoring. Results A high degree of alignment between Mandarin tone contours and musical melody significantly increased perceived beauty and positive affect (p<0.01). Synchronization of speech rhythm and musical meter led to a 35% greater increase in relaxation scores and more coherent HRV patterns, indicating enhanced parasympathetic response. This synergy also improved listeners' affective attitude towards the Chinese language itself. Conclusions The intentional synergy of linguistic prosody and musical rhythm is a core psychological mechanism that amplifies the emotional impact and therapeutic potential of "Chinese + Music Healing" for international audiences. This provides an evidence-based design framework for creators, highlighting that strategic audio design is crucial for promoting mental well-being and fostering positive cultural perception through this medium. Abstract Objective This study aims to develop and evaluate a positive psychology-based intervention program to enhance professional resilience and mental well-being among cultural relic conservation students, with a focus on promoting psychological health and spiritual growth in this specialized field. Subjects and Methods A randomized controlled trial was conducted with 80 cultural relic conservation students randomly assigned to an experimental group (n=40) receiving a 12-week positive psychology intervention, and a control group (n=40) following regular curriculum. The intervention incorporated character strengths development, mindfulness training, and meaning-making activities specifically designed for conservation work. Assessment tools included the Professional Resilience Scale, Mental Health Inventory, and spiritual well-being questionnaire, administered at baseline, post-intervention, and 3-month follow-up. Results The experimental group showed significant improvements in psychological resilience (F=12.35, p<0.01) and mental health indicators (F=9.87, p<0.01) compared to controls. Participants demonstrated enhanced stress coping abilities (38% increase), emotional regulation skills (42% improvement), and spiritual well-being (35% enhancement). The intervention effects remained significant at 3-month follow-up, with the experimental group reporting 40% higher psychological adaptability in handling conservation challenges. Conclusions The positive psychology intervention effectively promotes both professional competence and mental-spiritual health among cultural relic conservation students. These findings highlight the importance of integrating psychological and spiritual dimensions into professional training, providing valuable insights for developing holistic education approaches in cultural heritage conservation. Abstract Objective Modern people face ubiquitous life and work psychological pressure, accompanied by restless mental states and declining mental health. Traditional fine brushwork color symbols and innovative digital light and shadow narratives have unique visual emotional arousal effects. From the visual psychological perspective, this paper explores their internal emotional arousal paths, aiming to ease public visual psychological pressure, regulate disordered mental states and promote positive mental health via traditional and digital visual art. Subjects and Methods This study selects ordinary viewers with different art appreciation experiences as research objects. It adopts visual psychological experiment, comparative text analysis and emotional scale testing. It monitors viewers’ changes in visual psychological pressure, real-time mental states and mental health levels stimulated by fine brushwork colors and digital light and shadow works, and summarizes diversified emotional arousal mechanisms. Results Gentle and harmonious traditional fine brushwork colors can effectively relieve viewers’ accumulated visual psychological pressure and calm impetuous mental states. Well-designed digital light and shadow narratives further enrich emotional guidance effects, optimize individual inner mental states, and jointly produce obvious soothing effects on public sub-health mental conditions. Conclusions Both traditional fine brushwork color symbols and digital light and shadow narratives have effective emotional arousal and psychological soothing functions. Integrating two visual art forms can better alleviate modern people’s chronic psychological pressure, repair negative mental states caused by anxiety, improve public mental health, and provide new ideas for art-based psychological healing design. Abstract Objective This study explores how the aesthetic experience of classical poetry in university Chinese courses influences students' cultural identity and self-continuity, while specifically investigating its potential to mitigate negative emotional states such as anxiety and psychological distress, thereby contributing to psychological health and coherent identity development. Subjects and Methods A mixed-methods study with 210 undergraduates involved a 12-week poetry appreciation module. Data collection included pre- and post-intervention surveys measuring cultural identity, self-continuity, and perceived stress/anxiety. In-depth interviews and reflective journals analyzed personal engagement and emotional regulation through poetry. Results Significant improvements were found in cultural identity (35% increase, p<0.01) and self-continuity (28% increase, p<0.05). Qualitatively, deep poetic engagement fostered historical connection and personal meaning, aiding in constructing integrated self-narratives. Notably, participants reported a marked reduction in self-reported anxiety and emotional tension, describing poetry as a tool for emotional processing and anchoring. The "cultural gene" activation process thus supported both collective belonging and individual emotional equilibrium. Conclusions The aesthetic experience of classical poetry plays a vital role in activating cultural memory, reconstructing identity, and alleviating negative emotional pressure. This pedagogical approach not only enhances cultural transmission but also functions as a psychological resource, supporting students' identity coherence and mental well-being by providing a meaningful avenue for emotional expression and regulation. Abstract Objective Intense pre-competition load brings continuous competitive psychological pressure to high-level athletes, easily triggers severe state anxiety and irregular mental states, which directly destroy personal mental health and restrict stable competitive performance. This paper clarifies the internal correlation between competitive pressure, state anxiety and individual mental health, so as to find effective ways to ease sports-related psychological pressure and maintain athletes’ sound mental health. Subjects and Methods Elite athletes covering various competitive sports events are taken as research samples. With psychological scale testing, field tracking surveys and statistical analysis, this study quantifies the interactive relationship between competitive pressure intensity, fluctuating anxious emotions, dynamic mental states and mental health indicators, and sorts out their internal functional mechanisms. Results Overwhelming competitive pressure greatly aggravates athletes’ state anxiety and breaks balanced positive mental states, bringing persistent adverse impacts on their mental health. Scientific pressure management can effectively ease anxious sentiments, stabilize volatile mental conditions, and comprehensively improve athletes’ overall mental health level. Conclusions Competitive pressure, state anxiety and athletes’ mental health maintain tight interactive connections. Targeted psychological interventions ease excessive competitive psychological pressure, adjust abnormal mental states, safeguard athletes’ long-term mental health, and offer psychological references for scientific pre-competition training and sports mental governance. Abstract Objective This study explores the intrinsic linkage between individual mental health states and uncertain decision-making behaviors. It constructs an integrated framework combining psychological well-being indicators and standardized preference models, aiming to clarify how mental fluctuations affect choices and improve the prediction accuracy of individual behavioral decision-making. Subjects and Methods A hybrid research design was implemented. First, public psychological indicators (e.g., collective anxiety, sentiment polarity) were extracted and quantified from extensive social media datasets using advanced Natural Language Processing (NLP) techniques. Second, a controlled experiment with 120 participants was conducted to elicit their risk preferences in ambiguous scenarios, which were mathematically modeled as IT2FPRs. A novel fusion model was then constructed to statistically couple the macro-level psychological data with the micro-level parameters of the individual fuzzy preference models. Results The analysis revealed a statistically significant correlation between specific public psychological patterns and the uncertainty footprints of individual IT2FPRs. For instance, periods of heightened collective anxiety were associated with wider uncertainty bounds in personal preference models, indicating increased decision hesitation. The proposed integrated framework demonstrated a 22% improvement in predicting real-world choice outcomes compared to models using only traditional preference or isolated sentiment analysis. Conclusions Dynamic mental health conditions and negative emotions like collective anxiety are key endogenous factors shaping risky and ambiguous decision preferences, where psychological fluctuations directly disrupt rational judgment. This big data-based model effectively reveals the coupling mechanism between mental health changes and uncertain decision-making and realizes quantitative identification of psychological pressure. It enhances behavioral prediction precision and provides technical support for public mental health monitoring, early warning and intervention, helping stabilize group mental states and optimize public mental health governance. Abstract Objective Unstable brand credibility and chaotic industrial chain operation easily bring persistent work pressure and negative mental states to industrial practitioners, severely restricting their mental health and hindering high-quality industrial collaboration. This study explores the interactive correlation between brand trust, practitioners’ mental health status and industrial chain synergy. It aims to clarify how brand trust alleviates occupational psychological pressure, stabilizes practitioners’ mental states, and drives sustainable collaborative development of the industrial chain. Subjects and Methods This study adopts empirical analysis and structural equation modeling, selecting frontline industrial chain practitioners as research subjects. It collects questionnaire data on brand trust perception, occupational psychological pressure, mental health level and industrial collaboration efficiency, and quantitatively analyzes the mediating role of practitioners’ mental health in the linkage mechanism between brand trust and industrial chain coordination. Results Stable brand trust significantly reduces practitioners’ occupational psychological pressure, effectively relieves anxious and negative mental states, and comprehensively improves their mental health level. Optimized individual mental states further enhance practitioners’ work initiative and cooperation willingness, which positively boosts resource integration and operational efficiency of the entire industrial chain, forming a benign interactive development cycle. Conclusions Brand trust exerts a vital positive influence on industrial chain collaborative development, with practitioners’ mental health serving as a key intermediate transmission factor. Improving brand trust can continuously ease practitioners’ work psychological pressure, maintain positive mental health states, and break psychological barriers restricting industrial cooperation. This study provides a human-oriented practical path for balancing employee mental health protection and industrial chain high-quality development. Abstract Objective College students commonly face academic and interpersonal psychological pressure, which induces negative emotions and unstable mental states, seriously restricting the development of good mental health. Under the pattern of great ideological and political education, this study explores effective cultivation paths for college students’ positive psychological qualities, aiming to relieve their daily psychological pressure and stabilize their healthy mental states. Subjects and Methods This study adopts literature research, questionnaire surveys and empirical analysis, taking college students living in one-stop campus communities as research subjects. It investigates the current situation of students’ psychological pressure and mental health, and analyzes the deficiencies of existing psychological quality cultivation and ideological education work. Results The integrated one-stop community cultivation model under the great ideological and political framework can effectively alleviate college students’ internal psychological pressure, improve their negative mental states, and significantly shape positive psychological qualities, thereby comprehensively upgrading their overall mental health level. Conclusions The combination of great ideological and political education and one-stop community construction provides a new effective way for mental health education. Scientific cultivation strategies can continuously resolve students’ psychological pressure, maintain positive mental states, consolidate students’ mental health, and support the high-quality development of college ideological and psychological education. Abstract Objective Certified public accountants endure heavy audit workload and long-term occupational psychological pressure, which easily trigger emotional distress and damage their mental health. The psychological contract represents implicit mutual expectations between CPAs and accounting firms; its imbalance worsens negative mental states, reduces work engagement and hinders sustainable career growth. This study dissects multi-dimensional structures of CPAs’ psychological contract to clarify its internal linkage with occupational psychological pressure and practitioners’ mental health. Subjects and Methods Drawing on existing domestic and overseas literature, this research develops a revised questionnaire covering full psychological contract dimensions, simultaneously measuring respondents’ perceived work stress, emotional fluctuations and overall mental health status. Statistical software is adopted to conduct quantitative analysis on valid sample data, exploring how mismatched psychological expectations disturb CPAs’ inner mental state and trigger psychological discomfort. Results CPAs’ psychological contract consists of two major components: firm obligations and individual obligations, with three sub-dimensions for each. Firms deliver welfare, career training and workplace support, while CPAs undertake transactional, developmental and relational duties. Mismatch between the two sides significantly elevates chronic psychological pressure, aggravates emotional distress and creates persistent threats to practitioners’ long-term mental health. Conclusion Clear structural classification of CPAs’ psychological contract exposes their unmet work expectations and psychological dilemmas triggered by role imbalance. Aligning organizational and individual contractual obligations can effectively ease accumulated occupational stress, relieve emotional distress and stabilize employees’ mental health. The conclusions support accounting firms to implement humanized HR management and build targeted mental health protection mechanisms for CPA practitioners. Abstract Objective This study examines how cultural participation in traditional storytelling (Suzhou pinghua) affects the mental health of middle-aged and older adults. It investigates how pinghua engagement reduces anxiety, depressive symptoms, and emotional distress through cultural identity, emotional regulation, social support, and immersive experience, establishing a framework for understanding traditional narrative as a mental health intervention for aging populations. Subjects and Methods This study compares pinghua adaptations with original novel sources, drawing on reception psychology and emotion psychology. Mechanisms analyzed include: collective memory reducing existential anxiety; empathy facilitating emotional regulation and countering depressive rumination; immersive flow reducing stress; and social support through communal listening reducing isolation—a risk factor for depression in older adults. Results Pinghua engages therapeutic mechanisms: collective memory reduces existential anxiety; empathy counters rumination; immersion induces flow reducing stress; communal listening buffers depression. Four dimensions—interest, suspense, commentary, and immediacy—activate humor (reducing negative affect), cognitive engagement, meaning-making, and social connectedness. These mechanisms collectively reduce anxiety, alleviate depressive symptoms, and promote well-being. Conclusions Traditional storytelling functions as a culturally-embedded mental health intervention—reducing anxiety and depressive symptoms through cultural identity, emotional regulation, flow, and social support. Findings inform culturally-adapted psychosocial interventions, suggesting narrative engagement enhances well-being and buffers against late-life depression. Future research should examine dose-response relationships and develop community-based storytelling programs for older adult mental health promotion. Abstract Objective This study aims to construct a knowledge graph for computer network fault diagnosis in big data environments and investigate its impact on the psychological and emotional health of technical operators. The research seeks to explore how intelligent diagnostic tools affect users' work-related stress, anxiety levels, and overall mental well-being in high-pressure IT environments. Subjects and Methods The study involved 150 network administrators and IT professionals. A comprehensive knowledge graph was developed by integrating multi-source data including network device logs, fault records, and expert knowledge. Participants performed diagnostic tasks using both the knowledge graph system and traditional methods. Psychological and emotional health was assessed using standardized instruments including the Perceived Stress Scale (PSS), Generalized Anxiety Disorder scale (GAD-7), and User Experience Questionnaire (UEQ), with pre- and post-intervention measurements. Results The knowledge graph achieved 88.5% accuracy in fault diagnosis with 15,231 entities and 42,567 relationships. System usage significantly reduced work-related stress by 35% (p < 0.01) and decreased anxiety symptoms by 28% (p < 0.05) compared to traditional methods. Regression analysis revealed that the system's reasoning capability positively influenced users' psychological adaptation (β = 0.68, p < 0.001), while reducing decision-making anxiety by 40%. User satisfaction increased by 45% with the knowledge graph approach. Conclusions The knowledge graph significantly enhances both network fault diagnosis efficiency and users' psychological well-being. This research demonstrates that intelligent diagnostic systems can reduce technical stress and anxiety while improving job performance, offering valuable insights for developing human-centered IT management tools that support both operational excellence and workplace mental health.
