This study investigates the psychological and social determinants of green consumption behavior in Bangladesh’s organic cosmetics market by extending the Theory of Planned Behavior (TPB). Using a structured questionnaire, data were collected from 383 urban consumers and analyzed using SPSS. The research highlights that attitudes towards the environment, green consumption, and organic cosmetics, along with subjective norms, significantly and positively influence green consumption intention. In turn, intention strongly predicts actual green consumption behavior, explaining 43.4% of its variance. These results confirm the mediating role of intention and highlight the effectiveness of multidimensional attitudes in predicting sustainable consumer actions. Regression model revealed that most of the hypothesized relationships were supported: attitudes towards the environment and green consumption, as well as subjective norms, significantly predicted green consumption intention, and intention strongly predicted green consumption behavior (while attitude towards organic cosmetics did not have a significant effect). The study demonstrated that the multidimensional approach to attitudes—dividing general environmental concern, green lifestyle attitudes, and product-specific attitudes—provides a nuanced understanding of intention formation. While environmental and green lifestyle attitudes significantly influenced intention, product-specific attitudes did not, supporting the view that broader values may be more predictive than individual product perceptions in low-trust markets. The findings contribute to bridging the attitude–behavior gap and offer practical implications for marketers and policymakers aiming to promote environmentally responsible consumption in emerging markets in Bangladesh.
The global apparel industry has experienced exponential growth in recent decades, powered by rapid technological advancements, shifting fashion trends, and evolving consumer preferences. In developing nations like Bangladesh, which is well known as a major center for the production of clothing worldwide, the sector is changing dramatically. The emphasis is progressively shifting from conventional production-centric techniques to more consumer-focused tactics that give quality, sustainability, and market responsiveness top priority. Therefore, the goal of this study was to evaluate customer’ satisfaction towards fashion apparels in the context of Bangladesh. The data were collected from 100 respondents by survey method through a structured questionnaire with five-point Likert scales and multiple items. The purposive sampling method was used in this research. The data were analyzed using frequency analysis, mean, standard deviation, and regression analysis using SPSS software. The findings show that product quality, price fairness, shopping experience, and brand reputation had a positive impact on customers’ satisfaction towards fashion apparels in the context of Bangladesh. The results of this study offer valuable insights for apparel manufacturers, retailers, and brand managers in Bangladesh. Industry participants should place a high priority on upholding good product quality, making sure that prices are fair and transparent, fostering pleasurable shopping experiences, and developing powerful, reliable brand images in order to increase customer happiness. In a market that is becoming more and more driven by customers, these tactics are now necessary rather than discretionary. Furthermore, incorporating consumer input into marketing and product development choices helps reinforce market positioning and brand loyalty. Lastly, businesses will be in a better position to prosper in both domestic and foreign markets if they adjust to these changing consumer demands.
The study considers sustainability adaptation measures within China’s wine industry in the wake of the increasing threat to climate change and the mutual influence exerted by climate variation on viticulture. Returning to the increasingly dominant Chinese wine sector, the study investigates how wineries implement adaptive measures against environmental volatility. Through a qualitative interpretive study approach with semi-structured interviews with key stakeholders within the Ningxia region, the research identifies possible sustainable practices, addresses constraints to their adoption, and considers what conditions enable potential opportunities. Early indications show investments currently being made into precision agriculture, renewable energy, and organic management, with increasing consumer awareness around sustainable packaging. On the other hand, several challenges remain, including high costs of upfront investment, lack of on-the-ground technical know-how, and inconsistent policy support framework. This study provides insight into practical adaptation strategies and structural constraints, with recommendations for industry actors and policymakers in China appropriate to context; hence, lessons for other wine-producing regions facing similar climate stressors are available.
