The purpose of this study is to present an approach to the “Digital Health Passport” (DHP), which will be the most important in the change of the travel industry among the sudden environmental changes brought about by COVID-19. To this end, this study reviewed a variety of empirical literature on DHP, and proposed a framework for DHP based on literature review. The framework is composed of travel intention, health information provision intention, and new technology acceptance/adoption of tourists. First, in terms of travel intention, providing information to DHP should not undermine the travel intention of the travelers. It should be possible to facilitate the travelers’ enjoyment by using the information provided by the traveler. In addition, there is a need to assure that the data provided by travelers is managed in a reliable way. Second, it is necessary to understand why the travelers want to provide additional personal information (information disclosure), rather than seeing healthcare information only in terms of mandatory information provision. Finally, from the perspective of new technology, it is necessary to understand the intention of travelers to use/adopt DHP. The key implication of this work is that it proposed a DHP framework for realizing the travel bubble to predict and respond to foreign travelers' behaviors.

In order to treat a disease, it is necessary to take the medication on time, but many people often violate or forget the time they take the medicine. Applications are emerging to solve these problems using information technology. However, for existing applications, it is difficult to use because it provides only a notification functions, user interface is inconvenient, and photo registration of the medication is impossible. To solve these problems, the study developed a smart medicine management application that allows users to set up their taking routines, check if they are taking them, search hospitals and pharmacies, and attach images of medicines they are taking. Through this appliaction, it is possible to reduce the frequency of forgetting the time taken and to take accurate medication by checking the actual image. It also supports the setting of a taking routine to support multiple medications with different taking cycles. It can also provide information about hospital and pharmacies close to their current location to increase access to hospital and pharmacies.
With development of big data analysis technology, many studies to find social issues using texts mining techniques have been conducted. In order to derive social issues, previous studies performed in a way that collects a large amount of text data from news or SNS, and then analyzes issues based on text mining techniques such as topic modeling and terms network analysis. Social issues are the results of various social phenomena and factors. However, since previous studies focused on deriving social issues that are results of various causes, there are limitations to revealing the cause of the issues. In order to effectively respond to social issues, it is necessary not only to derive social issues, but also to be able to identify the causes of social issues. In this study, in order to overcome these limitations, we proposed a method of deriving the factors that cause social issues from texts related to social issues based on the theory of part of Korean linguistics. To do this, we collected news data related to social issues for three years from 2017 to 2019 and proposed a methodology to find causes based causal sentences based on text mining techniques.
This study examined the effects of the firm characteristics of the manufacturing industry on the female employment ratio. Three hypotheses regarding female employment ratio, were tested for 5,729 firms that could use financial data among the firms listed on the KOSPI from 2011 to 2019, in terms firm size, listing period, and foreign ownership. Follwing the analyses, three hypotheses were mostly adopted. It was found that as the size firm and foreign ownership ratio increased, the female employment ratio increased in the number of regular and permanent contract employees, fixed-term employees, and total employees. As for the listing period, the higher the value, the lower the female employment ratio in the number of regular and permanent contract employees, fixed-term employees, and total employees. These research results may be used as basic data for gender equal employment policies such as Affirmative Atcion for Gender Equal Employment.
This study was carried out to evaluate the effects of disinfection using environmental disinfectant after having assessed the extent of contamination through microbial culture testing and the Adenosine Triphosphate Bioluminescence method among the environmental management evaluation methods used for the environment in the hospital ward of patients infected by multidrug-resistant organisms. This study was conducted with the patient wards isolated due to multidrug-resistant organisms as the environmental surface. Specimens were collected from five locations including infusion pumps, IV poles, bedside cabinets, bed railings, keyboards, and blood pressure measurement cuffs. ATP and microbial culture testing were executed prior to, immediately after, and five minutes post-disinfection. According to the result contamination of the infusion pumps was statistically significantly reduced after disinfection. In addition, the bacteria before and after disinfection reduced in IV pole, bed railing, and keyboard. That is, regular environmental surface disinfection can provide safer environments to patients against infection. Therefore, it is necessary to establish guidelines including disinfection methods and intervals for environmental surfaces by evaluating the persistence of disinfectants at various institutions in the future.

Moving toward an aged society, traffic accidents involving elderly drivers have also attracted broader public attention. A rapid increase of senior involvement in crashes calls for developing appropriate crash-severity prediction models specific to senior drivers. In that regard, this study leverages machine learning (ML) algorithms so as to predict the severity of vehicle-pedestrian collisions induced by elderly drivers. Specifically, four ML algorithms (i.e., Logistic model, K-nearest Neighbor (KNN), Random Forest (RF), and Support Vector Machine (SVM)) have been developed and compared. Our results show that Logistic model and SVM have outperformed their rivals in terms of the overall prediction accuracy, while precision measure exhibits in favor of RF. We also clarify that driver education and technology development would be effective countermeasures against severity risks of senior driver-induced collisions. These allow us to support informed decision making for policymakers to enhance public safety.
Despite the increase in sales of imported vehicles in Korea, research on the sales forecast of parts logistics centers is very limited. This study aims to perform a sales prediction on bestselling goods in the automobile part logistics center. System dynamics was adopted as a methodology for the prediction method, which considered causal relationship of variables that affected the dynamic characteristics and feedback loops. The analysis results showed that the consumable sales amount of oil increased over time. As a result of conducting the MAPE, the model was assessed to be a reasonable predictive model of 31.3%. In addition, the sales of battery products increased from every October in both of actual and predicted data followed by the peak sales in December and then decrease from next February. This study has academic implications that it secured actual data of specific imported automobile part logistics center, which has not done before in previous studies and quantitatively analyzed the prediction of the quantity of released goods of future sales through system dynamics.
This paper investigated the role of CEO leadership in the relationship between Korean small firm’s competitive strategy and performance. This study conducted an empirical analysis by collecting data through a questionnaire survey targeting small firms in Korea. The main findings of this study are as follows. First, it was found that the competitive strategies of small firms all had a positive effect on the performance, and it was found that a strategic consistency rather than the type of strategy was positive for firm performance. Second, it was found that the type of leadership of the CEO should also be changed according to the type of strategy. Specifically, it was found that transformational leadership was more appropriate for differentiation strategies, and transactional leadership was more appropriate for cost advantage strategies. This study clarified that the pursuit of a strategic consistency is more important than the type of strategy in the competitive strategy, and that the CEO needs to pursue an appropriate leadership style according to the competitive strategy.
This study was to investigate whether there are differences in subjective bad breath-related characteristics and psychological characteristics of sports masks printed with natural minerals compared with quarantine masks and cotton masks. The study subjects were divided into 30 people in the Sports Mask Group, 30 people in the KF Mask Group (KMG), and 30 people in the cotton mask group (CMG), and a total of 90 subjects participated in the study. It was randomly sent to use 1 mask per day and 3 masks for 3 days. The study period was conducted from October 15, 2020 to October 30, 2020. As a result of analyzing psychological factors, there was no difference between the 3 groups for depression. However, in the stress factor, sports masks were superior to other masks in stress. The results of this study are valuable as suggesting the direction of use of functional masks, and we hope that they will be used as basic data for functional mask research to be studied in the future.
This study aims to investigate the relationship among the learning flow, perceived effectiveness of online learning and learning burnout in college online classes. A total of 149 college students participated in the study and completed the survey including learning flow, learning burnout and demographic information. The results showed that participants with higher learning flow showed less learning burnout. In addition, the perceived effectiveness of online learning partially mediated the relationship between cognitive learning flow and learning burnout, but did not mediate the relationship between defined learning flow and learning burnout. Since learners with higher cognitive learning flow perceived online learning as more effective, it is necessary to find out how to build learners’ cognitive learning flow to decrease learning burnout. The results imply that universities should provide students with administrative support and an appropriate online learning environment.
