Purpose: This research attempts to determine the status of the University of Tehran’s central library to establish the maker movement.Method: For so doing, both a library study method is used to prepare a checklist, and a survey method is done. By a purposive sampling, an interview with the Head of Central Library and Documentation Center of the Tehran University was carried out and a questionnaire was distributed among the librarians.Findings: The findings indicate that the central library’s condition in terms of human resources, finances, and infrastructure is not proper for the current makerspace. Conclusion: The results show that a high level of education and work experience has a positive effect on librarians' familiarity, skill and interest. For librarians, funding from the parent organization is greater than funding from library funding and other sources. Male librarians are less interested in establishing a maker movement, despite being more familiar with the makerspace and skillful in performing activities related to the makerspace. The organizing and cataloging department is more interested in creating a makerspace. The level of education and high work experience has a positive effect on the level of familiarity, skill and interest of librarians with activities related to the creative construction space, which can be used in the field of guiding, training and controlling related activities. For most librarians, there is enough time and space in the central library for makerspace. Undesirable hardware and software equipment in the library and lack of knowledge about digitalization laboratory equipment affect the level of knowledge of librarians.

Objective: The purpose of this research is to identify and quantitatively and qualitatively analyze dissertations on books and children's librarianshipMethods: This research has provided a quantitative and qualitative report on the content analysis of 379 theses on children's books, libraries, and librarianship from 2015-2022.Results: The Theses are placed in two main categories, "books and genres" with 11 subcategories and "promotion of reading and information service" with nine subcategories. Findings showed that the genres had ups and downs during this period, but the lack of research on picture books and the popular genre, fantasy, among teenagers is disappointing. A large number of dissertations in four fields: Persian language and literature (especially for children's literature), educational sciences (for the effect of books and storytelling on education), Knowledge and Information Science (because of the promotion of reading and information service to children) and foreign languages (with an emphasis on translation methods and language teaching by storytelling) are expected. But the reluctance of librarians to research on storytelling (the most frequent subcategory) and the low number of research on promoting reading, as one of the most important concerns of this field, is alarming. In this research, content analysis and library method has been the most used method due to the nature of literary texts. Also, it seems that obtaining a convincing and unequivocal result in allocating one of the four approaches: problem-based, topic-based, text-based and comparative to theses, requires the critical opinion of children's literature experts. Conclusions: In this research, in addition to a different view in identifying the categories and subcategories of theses, up to three levels, as well as determining the works and authors that have been researched, each of these researches was also examined from the aspects of problem-based, topic-based, text-based and comparative.
Background and purpose: Tadzkirah Al-Shoðra is a general biographical memoir written in the biography of poets and writers of Iranian and Arab. There are many manuscripts of this book in Iran and the world, but the two manuscripts of the National Library and the manuscripts of the Library of Faculty of Literature and Humanities, Ferdowsi University of Mashhad have the same date of the author. Experts believe the Mashhad version is the author's script. However, it seems the 15039 version of the National Library is the oldest because it script is graceful Nastaliq. Until now, there have studied various but few on Tazkira Al-Shaara. These researches are only one correction and a few short articles that the famous versions have not introduced. A copy of this book dated 7 Rajab 893 AH is available in the Central Library of the University of Tehran. This article aims to introduce this exquisite and old version and it compares with some other versions of Tadzkire in the same library. The edition 2468 of the Central Library of the University of Tehran was introduced for the first time and it is very important in terms of a research codicology because it is close to the time of its composition.Materials and methods: The study was based on a qualitative review and analysis of the writing and language of the Tazkira al-Sha'ar version with a library method.Findings: This article introduces and examines the linguistic structure, vocabulary, and writing style in the 2468 edition. The script of the manuscript and drawing of letters and words has written in the 9th century. The copy is complete and has no gaps and the authenticity and trustworthiness of the text have been preserved based on the oldest available text. It is a vocalized version and language acquisition is very low in this version. Dolatshah has defined and divided the poets based on their lifetime in the Tazkira. He has introduced some limited poets and some have been described in detail. Conclusion; The text of the version is written almost identically. The drawing of letters and words throughout a copy is fixed and matured. The writing and content of this manuscript are very similar to the oldest version, which is probably the author's handwriting.

ABSTRACT This article discusses radiocarbon dating results of documents preserved at the Central Library of the University of Tehran (hereafter, CLUT) as part of the project “Irankoran.” The paper adds new evidence to an ongoing campaign of dating Qurʾāns and Oriental manuscripts by the Corpus Coranicum Project. The dated manuscripts include one kūfī fragment of the Qurʾān on parchment (no. 10950) and a selection of Islamic and Persian manuscripts, all from the second millennium: the Arabic dictionary Muǧmal al-Luġah (Meškāt no. 203), the medical encyclopedia Ḏaḫīrah-ye Kh w ārazmšāhī (no. 5156), the epic Panǧ Ganǧ of Neẓāmī (no. 5179), the book of wisdom Ādāb al-Falāsifah (no. 2165) attributed to Ḥunayn b. Isḥāq (d. 873 CE), and one of the oldest extant manuscripts of the Avesta Wīdēwdād (no. 11263). Although the authenticity of their colophons is disputed, radiocarbon dating supports the dates of the colophons; even in cases where they were suspected of being tampered with, they most likely present the accurate original dates of the corresponding manuscripts. Only in the case of Ādāb al-Falāsifah (no. 2165), radiocarbon dating of the parchment has identified the manuscript as non-authentic. Inconsistent carbon dating results of two samples taken from Ḏaḫīrah-ye Khwārazmšāhī (no. 5156) and Panǧ Ganǧ (no. 5179) provide evidence of later replaced/added leaves.
