Safa Mousavi, Aryan Valipourkoleti,Alireza Malekrah, Banafshe Nouri

Sexual problems are common among patients with heart failure (HF) and may affect the sexual satisfaction of their partners. Understanding partners’ sexual experiences may help improve the quality of life of both patients and their partners. This study aimed to assess sexual satisfaction among partners of patients with HF and identify associated factors. This analytical cross-sectional study included 219 partners of patients with HF who were recruited using consecutive sampling from inpatient and outpatient settings at Fatemeh Zahra Hospital, Sari, Iran, between February 2022 and January 2023. Left ventricular ejection fraction (LVEF) was recorded and categorized as LVEF ≤30

2Factors Influencing Social Confidence in Relation to Dental Appearance among University Students in Bangladesh
Jemima Jaman Celia, Nadia Chowdhury, Md. Abdul Khalek Jesun, Yeasin Arafat,Shah Md. Atiqul Haq

Dental appearance may have a significant impact on individuals' self-image and confidence when interacting with others in different social contexts. Hence, the relationship between several psychosocial factors and social confidence among university students in Bangladesh was examined in this study. A total of 534 undergraduate and postgraduate students from one public and two private universities in Sylhet, Bangladesh, were selected through convenience sampling. This cross-sectional study used a structured questionnaire to collect data. Three dimensions related to dental appearance and social confidence were assessed: dissatisfaction with dental appearance, confidence while smiling or speaking, and confidence in social situations. The data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, Chi-square tests, one-way ANOVA, and multinomial logistic regression. Associations were reported as adjusted odds ratios (AORs) with 95

3Metabolic Syndrome Prevalence Clinical Profile and Associated Metabolic Risk Factors among Women with Polycystic Ovary Syndrome in a Tertiary Care Setting
Riti Chakraborty, Jayshree Kulkarni, Supriya Jagdale, Lakshmi Sunil, Krishna R. Sudev, Pooja Garg, Bharti Mandal

Polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) is a common endocrine and metabolic disorder affecting women of reproductive age and is associated with insulin resistance, dyslipidemia, obesity, and an increased risk of metabolic syndrome (MetS). Early identification of metabolic abnormalities is essential to reduce future cardiometabolic complications. This study aimed to determine the prevalence of metabolic syndrome, describe its clinical and metabolic profile, and evaluate its association with age and body mass index (BMI) among women with PCOS attending a tertiary care hospital. A hospital-based descriptive cross-sectional study was conducted among 480 women aged 15–40 years diagnosed with PCOS according to the Rotterdam criteria. Participants were recruited from the gynecology outpatient department using convenience sampling during the study period. Clinical assessment included anthropometric measurements and blood pressure, while biochemical evaluation included fasting blood glucose, triglycerides, and high-density lipoprotein (HDL) cholesterol. MetS was defined according to modified National Cholesterol Education Program Adult Treatment Panel III criteria, incorporating the South Asian-specific waist circumference threshold of ≥ 80 cm. Associations were assessed using chi-square tests and independent t-tests. Prevalence was reported with 95

Kani Mozhi Muthaiyan, Saravanan Chinnaiyan, Hilda Joseph Dhanraj, Bharathi Palanisamy

Anaemia and menopause are independently associated with reduced quality of life; however, empirical evidence on their intersection remains limited, particularly in the Indian context. This study aimed to assess the association between anaemia and menopause-related quality of life among postmenopausal women in Tamil Nadu. The study was conducted between May and June 2024 among 400 postmenopausal women aged 45–55 years in Chennai (urban) and Thiruvarur (rural) districts in Tamil Nadu as a community-based cross-sectional study using multistage sampling. A portable haemoglobin analyser was used to measure haemoglobin levels. The Menopause-Specific Quality of Life (MENQOL) questionnaire was used to measure menopause-related quality of life. Descriptive statistics, Mann–Whitney U tests, and multiple linear regression were used for the analysis. The prevalence of anaemia was 60.25

5Determinants and Spatial Patterns of Hygienic Menstrual Practices among Tribal Women in India
Sandhya Kumar, Sumit Narayan Dwivedi, R. S. Reshmi

Menstrual hygiene management (MHM) is a critical yet neglected component of women’s reproductive health in India, particularly among tribal populations who face compounded socio-economic, cultural, and geographic disadvantages. Despite improvements in hygienic menstrual practices at the national level, tribal women continue to lag behind, and evidence on spatial and socio-economic heterogeneity within this group remains limited. This study uses data from the National Family Health Survey-5 (NFHS-5, 2019–21) to examine the prevalence, spatial distribution, and determinants of exclusive hygienic menstrual practices among 44,392 tribal women aged 15–24 years in India. Exclusive hygienic practice was defined as the use of sanitary napkins, locally prepared napkins, tampons, or menstrual cups without concurrent use of unhygienic methods. Descriptive statistics, district-level spatial mapping, and multivariable logistic regression analyses were used to examine the determinants and spatial distribution of exclusive hygienic menstrual practices. Only 65.4
