This article presents a systematic literature review on the topic of cruise tourism, with the aim of gaining in-depth insight into segmentation mechanisms, personalization strategies, and how these variables intersect with the new ethical and experiential dimension that increasingly influences consumer purchasing decisions. The methodology is based on the review of 58 articles published between 2000 and 2024, selected according to the following criteria: indexing, methodological quality, and theoretical relevance. The analysis is structured around four thematic axes: consumer behavior in the luxury segment, segmentation processes and the incorporation of psychographic variables, and positioning and branding strategies. The review identifies theoretical, methodological, geographical, and emerging gaps. Additionally, opportunities for future research are proposed. This study offers an integrated and critical perspective on how sustainability can be meaningfully incorporated into the luxury tourism sector.
In Cuba, the inadequate use of tourist attractions reflects the lack of tools to obtain timely information to promote the development of new products. This problem is notable in territories with high potential for tourism, such as the municipality of Bah & iacute;a Honda. Based on this, the research aims to define a proposal for the functional use of tourism for the insertion of the municipality of Bah & iacute;a Honda in Cuba's tourism activity. A methodology with a mixed approach was used, applying documentary analysis, bibliographic review, field work, brainstorming, the mathematical statistical method and a focus group. As main results, recommendations were formulated for the sustainable use of the territory, considering principles of sustainability and support for local tourism initiatives. A detailed record of the territory's tourism resources and attractions was prepared, which made it possible to identify potential for generating new offers.
This research aimed to promote traditional gastronomy as an agroecological tourism offering by developing a participatory model that links cultural heritage and sustainable development in the community of the Padre Felipe Salvador Gilij School. A qualitative and descriptive field study was implemented using the Participatory Action Research (PAR) method. The purposive sample included 100 first-year students, who developed 25 projects focused on agroecological tourism and gastronomy. Key results included the identification of 14 traditional gastronomic resources (typical sweets) and the creation of the tourism brand "GILIJBARTOUR". The main contribution lies in demonstrating the viability and effectiveness of integrating traditional gastronomy and agroecological practices in an educational context, establishing a replicable model for promoting cultural heritage and contributing to sustainable local development.
Tourism faces a critical challenge: moving beyond sustainability to become a driver of ecological and social regeneration. This study develops the Regenerative Tourism Coherence Index (ICTR in spanish), an innovative tool based on the Triple Helix model, which assesses how well tourist destinations integrate regenerative strategies aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Using a qualitative methodology, based on a systematic literature review, the study examines emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence, blockchain, and the Internet of Things, determining their impact on tourism transformation. Findings reveal that collaboration between universities, governments, and businesses drives innovation in regenerative tourism, although digital divides and regulatory challenges persist. This study provides a replicable and applicable model to assess the regenerative coherence of tourism and its contribution to global sustainability.

The objective of this article is to analyze the influence of the ethnotourism offer on visitor satisfaction in San Ambrosio Chalmita, State of Mexico, a survey was applied to 203 visitors and the technique for data treatment was the partial least squares structural equation modeling (PLS-SEM). The results show the variables that constitute elements of interest in the tourist service offered as a way to generate tourism improvement strategies. As a conclusion, areas of opportunity are outlined such as the improvement of the service offered in order to improve the tourism experience and development in the community, and as future lines of research, studies on community autonomy, loss of identity and cultural commodification stand out.
