This study investigates public perception of Saudi Arabia's proposed National Health Insurance (NHI) system in the Qassim region, aligning with the healthcare transformation goals of Saudi Vision 2030. As the Kingdom shifts from a fully government-funded model to a contributory framework, understanding community readiness and attitudes is critical for long-term viability and success. This study employed a quantitative cross-sectional design, and data were gathered from adult residents using a structured online questionnaire and analyzed using SPSS with descriptive statistics, Chi-square tests, and correlation analysis. The findings indicate an 86% baseline awareness of the NHI system, although detailed comprehension remains mostly fair at 46.4%, with social media serving as the primary source of information. Public attitudes are overwhelmingly positive, driven by high institutional trust (91.8%) and strong expectations that NHI will enhance healthcare access (83.1%) and service quality (81.7%). However, notable hesitations persist regarding potential hospital waiting times, where 32.9% of participants remained neutral. Additionally, respondents expressed a clear preference for low-cost or fully government-funded contribution models. These insights highlight the importance of targeted public communication strategies to deepen technical understanding and address specific concerns as the reform progresses.
Aim: Purpose of this existing study is to investigate the quality services through patient satisfaction using SERVPERF-model. Methods: For this purpose survey approach was used. Cross-sectional primary data was collected form 100 patients of two public sector hospitals. Data was analyzed in SPSS. Mean, standard deviation, correlation and regression were used. Findings/Results: It was found that there is positive and significant relationship found between predictors and criterion variables. Moreover only reliability factor has significant impact on patient satisfaction.
Abstract Background: Pakistan is a developing country of South Asia and currently facing many challenges and public health especially maternal health is one of the emerging issues. There is limited empirical evidence on the out of pocket expenditure (OOPE) on selection of public and private healthcare facility. This area was overlooked in the research and the current study has tried to investigate the impact of OOPE on public and private hospital selection for delivery and postnatal care. Methods: survey approach was used. Primary data was collected from the Rajanpur district of Punjab Pakistan. Descriptive statistics and backward binary logistic regression were used. Non-probability convenience sampling technique was used for selection of sample size. Total 368 completed questionnaires were used in the analysis. Findings/Results: results revealed that Results also revealed that mothers with high in age, education were found significant and their spouse with government jobs, self employed prefer to go to public sector hospitals for delivery. Those respondents having income between 10 thousand PKR to 20 thousand PKR likely to go to public sector facility and mothers having more children such as 3-4 or above like to go public hospitals for delivery. Moreover distance from home to hospital and transportation charges and OOPE also play significant role in selection of healthcare facility. On the other hand age of mother, transportation and distance from home to hospital does not play any significant role for postnatal care while remaining factors such as education of mother, occupation of mother and household head, family income, number of children and out of pocket medical expenses plays significant role in selection of hospital for postnatal care.

Aim: The purpose of the current study was to investigate the impact of fear of Covid-19 (C-19) on the workplace stress of medical staff with confounding influence of psychological empowerment Material & Methods: quantitative survey approach was used. Cross-sectional primary data was collected. Mean, standard deviation, cronbach alpha, correlation and hierarchical multiple regression were used in SPSS. Findings: results revealed that psychological empowerment acts as confounding variable between fear of COVID-19 and workplace stress in medical staff.
ABSTRACT: Background: Diabetic retinopathy (DR) is one of the leading cause of blindness worldwide and laser therapy has a basic role in the control of diabetic retinopathy. Green laser therapies are performed both for proliferative diabetic retinopathy and diabetic macular edema. The aim of our study was to determine the frequencies of different stages of diabetic retinopathy in patients undergoing laser in our setup. Materials & Methods: This descriptive study was conducted at the department of Ophthalmology, Gomal Medical College, D.I.Khan, Pakistan from January 2015 to December 2019.The sample consisted of all the diabetic patients undergoing green laser procedures during this period at Eye Unit, DHQ Teaching Hospital D.I.Khan Pakistan. Results: Out of a total of 1,893 green laser procedures performed for diabetic patients from January 2015 to December 2019, 1,011 were male and 882 were female. 969 (51.1%) patients were having relatively early stages of DR, 676 (35.7) patients had advanced DR and 248 (13.1%) had diabetic macular edema (DME). Conclusion: Laser therapy is frequently needed for the control of diabetic eye disease so keeping in mind the disease burden the laser facilities should be expanded in our setup.
