
Flash floods in small mountainous watersheds are characterized by sudden occurrence and highly nonlin-ear hydrological responses,which pose significant challenges to individual hydrological models.These challenges include inadequate process representation,accumulation of systematic biases,and substantial predictive uncertainty.To enhance the simulation accuracy of flood events in such watersheds,this study developed an integrated frame-work entitled multi-model modeling-secondary correction-ensemble simulation.This framework synergistically combines a hybrid runoff model(MIX_HM)integrating saturation-excess and infiltration-excess mechanisms,a time-variant gain model(DTVGM),and a long short-term memory(LSTM)neural network model.A secondary correction strategy,employing quantile mapping and LSTM-based residual error correction,was applied to the model outputs.The proposed framework was implemented and validated in the Yangwu River small watershed,a headwater catchment of the Hutuo River,where it was used to simulate 38 flood events from 2006 to 2021.The key findings are:1)During the calibration period,the LSTM model achieved a Nash-Sutcliffe efficiency(NSE)of 0.73,which remained at 0.63 during the validation period.showed superior performance compared to the MIX_HM model(calibration:0.56,validation:0.41)and the DTVGM model(calibration:0.51,validation:0.37).Although LSTM demonstrated the best overall performance among the three models,it exhibited a systematic un-derestimation of peak flows.2)The residual joint correction method effectively reduced systematic model bias and improved simulation accuracy,with the most pronounced improvements observed in the process-based models(MIX_HM and DTVGM).The NSE values for MIX_HM,DTVGM,and LSTM during the validation period in-creased by 93.3%,103.5%,and 21.2%,respectively.3)The ensemble simulations yielded NSE values of 0.80 and 0.79 for the calibration and validation periods,respectively.This represents a further improvement of 2%and 3%over the post-correction single best model(LSTM).Furthermore,the 90%confidence intervals provided by the en-semble demonstrated a high coverage rate.The results confirm that the proposed multi-model ensemble framework significantly enhances the reliability and accuracy of flood simulation in mountainous small watersheds.
The concept of new quality productive forces represents a distinct Chinese-style theoretical interpreta-tion of Marxist advanced productive forces in the context of the new era.It also embodies a"Chinese solution"for translating Marxist theories into practice-aiming at promoting high-quality development,advancing Chi-nese-style modernization,and realizing the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation-thereby underscoring its profound strategic significance.Grounded in disciplinary thinking,this article offered a theoretical interpretation and logical reflection on the geographical thinking and spatial logic of new quality productive forces in the new era.It further explored their practical pathways and responsive strategies in Northeast China under the orienta-tion of the national framework of the"five major securities".The findings indicate that:1)New quality produc-tive forces embody the essential attributes of Marxist advanced productive forces and serve as an important tool for promoting high-quality urban and regional development.Their evolution follows the geographical logic of the temporal evolution view,human-environment coordination view,regional differentiation view,and industrial embodiment view.2)The essence of new quality productive forces lies in the transformation from a mere techno-logical tool attribute(means of production)toward serving and realizing urban-regional functional objectives(de-velopment goals).Within this process,industry acts as the core carrier,and the spatial realization of new quality productive forces follows a progressive,place-based logic of"problem identification→spatial restructuring→new industrial construction".3)In the case of Northeast China,the development of new quality productive forces should be guided both by the strategic imperatives of the national"five major securities"and by the constraints of regional conditions and resource endowments.Following the same spatial logic of"problem identification→spatial restructuring→new industrial construction",this study systematically considered development approaches and policy strategies from the perspectives of both the overall region and its differentiated city types.Finally,the study emphasized that not all cities are equally suited for homogeneous development of new quality productive forces.Their advancement must align with local resource endowments and locational advantages,with industry serving as the practical carrier.By integrating the geographical perspectives of temporal evolution,human-envi-ronment coordination,regional differentiation,and industrial embodiment into the economic interpretation of the"advancement"of new quality productive forces,this research proposed a new paradigm for their spatial realiza-tion and materialization,offering theoretical insights for the revitalization and high-quality development of Northeast China.
Precipitation is a key disaster-causing factor of flood disasters.Analyzing the spatiotemporal differen-tiation characteristics and influencing factors of precipitation in the sub-basins of the Haihe River and along the heavy-haul railways is of great significance for ensuring regional flood risk reduction and maintaining railway transportation safety.Based on the daily precipitation data(1960-2023)from the China Meteorological Adminis-tration,this study selected four indices-annual precipitation,extreme precipitation(R95pTOT),maximum one-day precipitation(Rxlday),and heavy precipitation days(R10)—to analyze the spatiotemporal differentiation characteristics of average and extreme precipitation along the heavy-haul railways in the Haihe River Basin.The Sen's slope estimator,Mann-Kendall test,and GIS spatial analysis were employed to examine precipitation trends and patterns.Then,the optimal parameters-based geographical detector method was employed to quantify the driving forces of topographic factors(elevation,slope,aspect),land-use change,and Normalized Difference Vegetation Index(NDVI)on precipitation spatial heterogeneity.The influence of atmospheric circulation factors on precipitation characteristics in the study area was also examined.Finally,based on the historical flood re-cords,the risk of disasters induced by rainfall was evaluated.The results indicate that over the 64 years from 1960 to 2023,the R95pTOT and Rxlday in the study area showed a decreasing trend,while the annual precipita-tion and R10 had increased.All the sub-basins exhibited a two-phase variation characteristic in precipitation,with both average and extreme precipitation demonstrating a significant upward trend after 1997.Notable differ-ences were observed between the western mountainous and eastern plain sub-basins.The spatial heterogeneity of precipitation indices generally followed a"high in the east,low in the west"and"increasing in the west,decreas-ing in the east"pattern.Terrain-related factors,particularly elevation and slope,exhibited a globally explanatory power in the spatial variation of precipitation characteristics across sub-basins of the Haihe River Basin,with ele-vation demonstrating the highest overall influence and the significance was markedly higher for the zones along the heavy-haul railways than for Haihe River sub-basins.The Western Pacific Subtropical High represented the primary atmospheric circulation factor influencing precipitation characteristics in the Haihe River sub-basins.Un-der the background of climate change,significant flood risks exist along railway corridors.These findings pro-vide a scientific reference for flood prevention and disaster mitigation in the Haihe River Basin and for the heavy-haul railway projects.
The accurate identification and prediction of flood behavior variability in small mountainous catchments are of great significance for the risk management of flash flood disasters.In this study,seven flood behavior indicators were selected to characterize the magnitude,timing,form,and rate of change of flash flood events.Principal component analysis(PCA),partitioning around medoids(PAM)clustering technique,random forest,and five-fold cross validation were integrated to identify typical flash flood types and their driving factors,and evaluate prediction performances of flood behavior indicators of various flood types.A total of 94 flash flood events in six small mountainous catchments with different hydro-climatic and underlying surface conditions were selected for the case study.The results show that:1)All the flash flood events can be clustered into three typical types,including Type 1 with low peak flow intensities,early peak flow occurrence times,long duration of high flow rates,and rapid flood rising and declining rates(50.0%),Type 2 with late peak flow occurrence times and non-concentrated flood processes with gentle variability(31.9%),and Type 3 with high peak flow intensities,short duration of high flow rates,concentrated flood processes with dramatic variability,and slow flood rising and declining rates(18.1%).2)All flood behavior indicators in Type 1 and Type 3 floods were dominantly governed by the combined effects of rainfall and catchment characteristics,and 57.1%of flood behavior indicator changes in Type 2 floods was mainly governed by rainfall variability.3)The overall prediction performances of flood behavior indicators in Type 3 flood showed the highest accuracy,followed by those in Type 1 and Type 2.The flood behavior indicators depicting magnitude,timing,and form were more accurately predicted than the rate of change indicator for all three flash flood types.This study is expected to provide a technical support and reference for differentiated prevention and risk management of flash flood disasters.
The spatial and temporal imbalance in the allocation of urban healthcare resources represents a major challenge to the implementation of the"Healthy China"strategy.Identifying dynamic changes in healthcare ac-cessibility and their equity implications is crucial for optimizing healthcare resource distribution.Addressing the research gaps in quantifying the spatiotemporal coordination of multi-modal transportation and assessing the dy-namic equity of accessibility across multiple time periods,this study developed a comprehensive evaluation framework.This framework integrates the Criteria Importance Through Intercriteria Correlation(CRITIC)weighting method,an enhanced two-step floating catchment area(2SFCA)method,and a time-based Gini coeffi-cient.A case study of the main urban area of Kunming City was conducted,utilizing multi-period real-time traf-fic data to measure healthcare accessibility under both driving and subway-dominated public transport modes.The Multi-mode Accessibility Gap(MAG)index was employed to quantify the coordination between these two modes.The findings reveal three key points.First,the spatial pattern of healthcare accessibility is characterized by"central radiation with distance decay"for driving and"fragmentation along subway lines"for public trans-port.Second,reducing the time threshold significantly intensifies the spatial agglomeration of resources,as indi-cated by a time-based Gini coefficient reaching up to 0.968,which highlights substantial equity concerns.Third,the MAG analysis demonstrated a failure of modal complementarity in both the urban core and peripheral areas.The proposed framework offers a novel perspective for understanding the spatiotemporal equity of healthcare re-sources.It also provides a methodological reference for optimizing resource allocation in other similar cities.
Since the 1970s,globalization,driven by economic efficiency and cost advantages,has integrated re-gional industries into a highly interconnected system.With the escalation of geopolitical decoupling,particularly in the context of China-U.S.tensions,this system is undergoing profound restructuring.To shed light on emerg-ing trajectories of regional industrial development,it is necessary to synthesize recent scholarship on the impacts of external dynamics under the construction and reconstruction of global value chains and production networks.This study first clarified the connotation and practical manifestations of external dynamics.Furthermore,draw-ing on the theoretical foundations of evolutionary economic geography and global production network approach-es,it identified the main analytical perspectives and conceptual frameworks for studying external dynamics.Ac-cordingly,external dynamics were categorized into external coupling and external decoupling.These two per-spectives provide a systematic framework for analyzing the key relationships between external dynamics and re-gional industrial development under the ongoing global (re)structuring processes.Existing studies suggest that external coupling enhances regional development,particularly by fostering economic growth.By contrast,the consequences of external decoupling remain less clear.On the one hand,decoupling may weaken mechanisms such as knowledge spillovers and innovation diffusion;on the other hand,it may stimulate regionalization and lo-calization of industrial development.Future research could focus on the complex interactions between external dynamics,the domestic circulation,outward opening-up,and regional industrial development,thereby providing policy-relevant insights to support China's transition toward a higher level of institutional opening-up and eco-nomic transformation.By consolidating insights from recent studies,this study sought to advance dialogue at the intersection of external dynamics and regional industrial development.
In the context of rural revitalization and the digital China strategy,this article innovatively proposed the concept and theoretical framework of"coupled human and natural digital cube"(CHNDC)for rural modernization in response to the theoretical gap in the coupling system coordination and digital element integration of rural production and living systems.By embedding digital technology as the core element into the coupled cube,the system reveals the four-dimensional mechanism of short-term and long-term coupling in the temporal dimension,close-range and long-range coupling in the spatial dimension,explicit and implicit coupling in the representation dimension,and internal and external coupling in the subject dimension of digitalization.We constructed the CHNDC that combines Chinese style rural modernization with production and living synergy,elucidating the core paths of digital twins eliminating spatial barriers,platform algorisms restructuring data assets,and governance platforms coordinating diverse subjects.Ultimately,we proposed a production and living co-prosperity ecosystem with data element circulation as the link and digital governance community as the carrier,providing theoretical tools for solving the production stagnation and spatial hollowing in rural areas,and promoting the transformation of geographical research towards a dynamic coupling paradigm.
This study used the CiteSpace software and bibliometric analysis to systematically review the Chinese and international literature on rural inclusive finance from 2005 to 2024,tracing the development stages and the evolution of key themes in this field.Based on this,the article summarized the progress in the research of inclusive finance and rural development,with the aim of unravelling the mechanisms and effects through which inclusive finance influences rural development.Inclusive finance originated from achieving the goal of eliminating financial exclusion.Against the backdrop of global climate change and the new development of globalization,promoting inclusive growth has emerged as a new and critical objective of inclusive finance.As the connotation of inclusive growth continues to broaden,research topics related to inclusive finance and rural development have shifted from an early emphasis on rural poverty alleviation to cutting-edge areas such as rural economic resilience,sustainable livelihoods,and green development.Correspondingly,the exploration of underlying mechanisms has expanded from focusing solely on alleviating credit constraints to encompassing the multifaceted functions of comprehensive financial services.At the same time,digital technologies have significantly improved the spatial accessibility and population coverage of inclusive finance,positioning digital inclusive finance as a central focus of current research.This article systematically synthesized the core issues of inclusive finance in promoting rural inclusive growth and identified directions for further research,aiming to provide valuable insights to advance both the theories and practice in the field of inclusive finance.
Under the requirements of high-quality development,optimizing and evaluating land resource allocation in resource-based ecologically fragile regions is key to achieving coordinated economic,social,and ecological development.Taking the Lunan Economic Circle as an example,the multi-objective optimization algorithm and entropy-weight TOPSIS were employed to determine the quantitative optimization scheme of land use in 2030;the PLUS model was employed to predict the optimized spatial layout of land use;and the SBM model was employed to measure the multi-period ecological efficiency to quantitatively evaluate the reliability of land use optimization results.The results show that:1)With the rigid constraint of the arable land red line,although the acreage of arable land in the region decreases by 2030,it remains above the safety baseline,while the areas of construction land,forest land,grassland,and water bodies increase,achieving optimization of total land use and structure.2)After optimization,scattered arable land is converted to construction land;sloping arable lands in the Yishan-Mengshan-Nishan area are restored to forest and grassland;the wetland ecological space of the Nansi Lake expands;and unused land near mountains and suburbs is orderly developed,resulting in a more rational spatial pattern.3)After optimization,as the area of ecological land expands,the gross ecosystem product of all counties is improved,and the overall ecological efficiency of the region will improve from 0.29 in 2020 to 0.33 after optimization in 2030,with further reduction in regional disparities.In conclusion,multi-objective optimization considering the economic-social-ecological functions of land can effectively allocate land resources,promote the ecological transition of these resource-based ecologically fragile regions,and accelerate regional sustainable development.
With the development of traditional gentrification theory,its research framework has expanded from a single humanistic,social,or economic dimension to a comprehensive consideration of natural ecological spaces and ecosystem services.Against this backdrop,an increasing number of scholars have paid attention to urban is-sues such as population displacement,environmental protests,and social group displacement caused by urban en-vironmental improvement,climate governance,and resilience strategy implementation,and have linked them to gentrification.Meanwhile,China's urban development is shifting to a new stage dominated by existing urban space renewal and a people-oriented approach.The central government urban work conferences have also listed the construction of green,low-carbon,and resilient cities as a key task.This indicates that environmental im-provement gentrification and climate governance gentrification are becoming new research directions in the field of gentrification.Therefore,this article reviewed the overall progress of Western scholars in the research of envi-ronmental improvement(environmental,ecological,green)and climate governance(climate,resilience,low-car-bon)gentrification,and systematically examined the connotations of the concepts,identification methods,effects of influencing factors,and formation mechanisms of related gentrification.Finally,taking into consideration the current situation of research in China,the prospects of research on environmental improvement and climate gov-ernance gentrification in China were prospected.
As a core element of urban environments,the vitality of public green spaces serves as a key indicator for measuring the efficiency of urban environmental services and residents' well-being.This study took 93 public green spaces in the main urban area of Nanjing City as empirical cases.It integrated multi-source heterogeneous data,including Baidu Huiyan population location data,street view images,points-of-interest(POIs),road networks,and social media photographs.By comprehensively applying geographic detector analysis,the multi-scale geographically weighted regression(MGWR)model,and the four-quadrant analysis method,the study innovatively constructed a park green space vitality analysis framework based on the interaction between subjective and objective environments from both the global and local perspectives.This enables a multi-scale analysis of the spatiotemporal differentiation characteristics and underlying causes of public green space vitality in Nanjing City.The findings reveal that:1)The vitality of Nanjing's public green spaces exhibits significant spatial differentiation,presenting a gradient pattern characterized by high-vitality clustering in the central-eastern areas and low-vitality diffusion in the periphery.2)Globally,user preferences for service facilities and green view index are the core drivers explaining green space vitality,with notable coupling effects among factors.3)Locally,the influencing mechanisms of green space vitality display significant spatial heterogeneity,with high variability in factors such as service facilities,decorative elements,and functional mix,while the impacts of functional density and infrastructure remain relatively stable.4)The differentiated synergy of four key factors—transport accessibility,functional configuration,streetscape,and user visual preferences—proves effective in enhancing public green space vitality.The theoretical framework developed in this study implements an analytical strategy of multi-scale diagnosis-spatial differentiation identification-targeted regulation,providing policymakers with scientific tools including hotspot identification,deficiency diagnosis,and intervention priority assessment to support precision planning strategies based on spatial heterogeneity.
Fostering emerging industries and accelerating the transition between old and new growth drivers are crucial for achieving high-quality economic development and enhancing international competitiveness,therefore it is necessary to deeply understand regional new industrial paths and its driving mechanisms.Taking the develop-ment zone,a fundamental unit derived from new industries,as the research object,an analytical framework was established for external linkages,endogenous processes,and new industrial paths.By quantitatively analyzing the enterprise registration data through the location quotient method,standard deviation ellipse method,and industrial linkage analysis method,and combining the qualitative materials obtained from field research,this study explored the path development and driving mechanisms of industrial evolution in the development zones of Jiangsu Prov-ince.The research revealed that the industrial evolution of development zones has undergone three stages:the im-plantation of local paths under the impact of globalization,the implantation of global paths under multi-scale links,and the diversified development of paths under endogenous innovation.As development zones evolved,the effect of external linkages shifted from path shaping in the early stages to path triggering in the later stages.Simul-taneously,the focus of endogenous processes transitioned from absorption and learning to recombination and inno-vation.The synergistic evolution and interaction of these two aspects constituted the core driving mechanism for industrial diversification in the development zones.This study revealed the intrinsic logic of industrial catch-up and upgrading in China at the scale of development zones.It also enriched evolutionary economic geography's un-derstanding of the paths and mechanisms of industrial evolution in emerging economies,thus providing insights for promoting regional industrial transformation and upgrading in the new era.
Tunpu culture in Central Guizhou is a unique regional cultural phenomenon.This study focused on 37 Tunpu traditional villages in Anshun City,Guizhou Province,and their intangible cultural heritage(ICH)projects at or above the provincial level,using a comprehensive evaluation model,a factor contribution model,and the kernel density estimation method to evaluate the living state of ICH within these villages.Furthermore,it identified the types of the living state of ICH in villages and revealed corresponding spatial distribution patterns.The results show that:1)The overall living state of ICH in Tunpu traditional villages is suboptimal,with pronounced polarization across different dimensions.2)Anshun Dixi Opera exhibits the highest levels in both its living state and stability among the individual ICH projects,and the largest number of villages in the study area have advantages in the living state of performance ICH.3)The types of the living state of ICH in Tunpu traditional villages are classified as:synergistic advantage,characteristic agglomeration,potential activation,enhancement driven,restoration and improvement,and adjustment and restructuring.Spatially,the high-density core area is located at the border between Xixiu and Pingba districts.4)Overall,the average living state of ICH in Tunpu traditional villages is higher in Xixiu District than in Pingba District.The research results are in line with the actual situation,and provide a scientific basis for the sustainable development of ICH in Tunpu traditional villages.
The uneven spatial and temporal distribution of water resources has become a significant bottleneck im-peding sustainable regional development.This issue is exacerbated by the dual impacts of climate change and in-creased human activities,which intensify conflicts between water supply and demand.This article provides a com-prehensive review of the historical development and current frontiers of methods for the optimal allocation of water resources,which are essential for effective integrated watershed management.The review systematically explored the topic through three primary dimensions:objective functions,constraints,and solution methods.The results indi-cate a substantial shift in objective functions-initially focused on purely economic outcomes,they have gradually incorporated a broader set of goals that include ecological,social,and economic objectives.This represents a transi-tion towards a more holistic and sustainable framework for water resource management.Likewise,the development of constraints has evolved from conventional rigid constraints to more flexible"soft constraints"that reflect current institutional and policy landscapes.This evolution underscores an advanced understanding of the socio-political nu-ances influencing water distribution and utilization.In terms of solution methods,a significant diversification is evi-dent.The field has progressed from relying solely on deterministic mathematical programming to adopting a vari-ety of advanced techniques,such as intelligent optimization,fuzzy and stochastic optimization,and coupled simula-tion models.These innovations enable more robust modeling of the complexities and inherent uncertainties in water resource management systems.Despite notable achievements,challenges remain,including refining mechanisms for multi-objective coordination,enhancing the quantitative representation of soft constraints,and improving both the physical consistency and interpretability of models.The conclusion underscores the need for dedicated future re-search to address these critical issues,which are pivotal for advancing water resource optimization and achieving more effective and sustainable management outcomes.
Originated from Marx's theory of social reproduction,Western reproductive geographies are dedicated to exploring the power relations and spatiotemporal constitution of social reproduction activities within capitalist societies.By reviewing the main theoretical viewpoints and evolutionary trajectory of Western reproductive ge-ographies,this article aimed to integrate these intellectual strands with China's contemporary reproductive geog-raphy realities.It sought to envision a research agenda for reproductive geographies with Chinese characteristics and to extract key implications for China's high-quality population development.Beginning with the"Wages for Housework"movement's critique of the production-reproduction dichotomy in the 1970s,Western reproductive geographies have undergone a spatial and scalar turn,an affective and relational turn,and a cyborg and more-than-human turn of social reproduction research.This intellectual evolution guides Chinese geography to explore the localized characteristics of the reproductive labor process,the spatial-temporal transformations arising from changes in reproductive labor relations,the spatial-temporal reshaping resulting from the performativity of repro-ductive labor practices,and the interactive relationship between reproductive labor and the socioecological envi-ronment.To achieve high-quality population development in China,insights from reproductive geographies sug-gest the need to ensure spatial equity in accessing reproductive resources to optimize population distribution;build fertility-friendly social relations to stabilize the population;uphold social care and support for reproductive laborers to enhance social well-being;and improve the ecological environment and technological standards of re-productive activities to adapt to demographic structural transitions.
Yi-Fu Tuan's Segmented worlds and self.Group life and individual consciousness is a seminal work of existential geography,specifically focusing on the alienation and fragmentation that characterize modern spatial experiences.Unlike Tuan's more widely recognized texts such as Topophilia and Space and Place,which cele-brate the emotional and sensory bonds between humans and their environment,this book takes a critical turn to explore the darker side of human spatial existence—the processes through which individuals and communities become increasingly disconnected from the spaces they inhabit.By tracing the phenomenological trajectory of this alienating relationship,the book articulates its mechanisms through the interplay of three central concepts:the self,body perception,and horizon.This article highlights that this book departs from Tuan's other works by adopting a unique phenomenological lens.Rather than emphasizing the harmonious or affective dimensions of"being-in-the-world",it foregrounds the existential condition of alienation.The book takes a transcendental self as its philosophical starting point,inheriting and expanding upon Maurice Merleau-Ponty's theory of body per-ception and explores the isomorphic relationship between the enhancement of self-awareness and spatial separa-tion,grounding his analysis in specific historical and cultural contexts.Furthermore,inspired by Levinas' concept of horizon,the book envisions a path toward reconstructing a holistic man-land relationship in the context of postmodern disembedding.Tuan extends the idea to the realm of geography,proposing that the reintegration of fragmented spaces and selves requires a revived body perception of our interconnectedness with places.To phe-nomenologically unravel the narrative thread within the book,to start with,this article initially contrasts Tuan's concept of self with David Ley's,placing them within the framework of two branches of humanistic geography:explications of experience and interpretations of social worlds.Tuan and Ley,as representatives of each branch,respectively view the self as transcendental versus socially constructed.Consequently,their phenomenological entry points diverge,with Tuan emphasizing body perception from Merleau-Ponty and Ley focusing on social ac-tivity drawing from George Mead's Symbolic Interactionism and Alfred Schutz's Theory of Intersubjectivity.This transcendental perspective allows Tuan's self to serve as the phenomenological subject,rather than activity or symbol.Second,guided by body perception,Tuan introduces the concept of embodiment as a bridge connect-ing self and space/place,concurrently forming the notions of embodied self and embodied space/place.Histori-cally exploring the isomorphic relationship between self and space/place through the transformation of body per-ception,the book illustrates this relationship in three contexts:food,housing,and theater.It reveals how the heightened sense of vision,accompanied by the decline of other senses,leads to the segmentation of social space,subsequent disembedding from life worlds,and the alienation of the man-land relationship.In conclusion,this book reflects on approaches to rebuilding a holistic man-land relationship from the perspective of place hori-zon.Current studies of Tuan's geographical thoughts in China tend to emphasize the being-in-the-world perspec-tive while neglecting the alienation dimension.This article proposes a simultaneous intertwining of both perspec-tives by exploring the latter within the book.
Driven by the deep integration of digital technology and the acceleration of regional integration,the smart urban agglomeration(SUA)has emerged as a new paradigm of regional coordinated development and modern governance in the era of digital intelligence.Consequently,it has become a frontier topic in geography,urban planning,and public administration.Based on the perspective of regional synergy,this article systematical-ly reviewed the development context of related research on smart urban agglomerations in China and internation-ally since 2010.It analyzed its conceptual content and spatial characteristics from the geographical dimension,and summarized research hotspots and development trends.Studies indicate that smart urban agglomeration rep-resents a modern form of regional spatial organization aimed at fostering coordinated regional development,hu-man-centered principles,and sustainable growth.It operates through digital platforms,prioritizes talent,technolo-gy,and institutional frameworks as its core elements,relying on cross-regional collaboration networks and re-gional innovation systems to optimize resource allocation.Defining characteristics include spatial organization that transcends administrative boundaries,highly concentrated digital technological capabilities,and a multi-tiered collaborative governance structure.The current research mainly focuses on four areas:evaluation system construction,regional cooperation system,innovation system evolution,and digital technology empowerment.However,there are still obvious deficiencies in the construction of the theoretical system,the analysis of spatial mechanisms,and the coordination of human-environment relationship.Future research should strengthen investi-gations into the spatial evolution mechanism,evaluation system,collaborative governance mechanism,and the impact on regional development patterns of smart urban agglomerations,thereby enriching the geographical con-notation of urban agglomeration theory in the digital intelligence era.
Geography centers on the study of integrated human-environment systems,focusing on the interaction between human activities and the geographical environment.In recent years,the exploration of theories and methodologies related to resilient cities has gradually become a research hotspot in urban geography.However,existing studies on resilient cities within the field of urban geography often rely on the adaptation and transfer of external concepts,lacking integration with the core foundations rooted in the geographic perspective.In response,this article reviewed the developmental trajectory of research on resilient cities,analyzed the geographic connotations of resilient city research,and put forward the following propositions:1)From the perspective of urban geography,resilient city research should center on the disaster risk-constrained human-environment relationships.2)The coupled system formed by"human activities-resource endowments-disaster impacts"constitutes the principal framework for investigating resilient cities within urban geography.3)The interactions between human activities,resource endowments,and disaster impacts across multiple temporal and spatial scales often exhibit complexities,nonlinearities,and instabilities comparable to those of the"three-body problem"in gravitational physics.4)Both the short-term,sudden disturbances and the long-term,gradual evolution within the human-environment-disaster system can be constrained and regulated through territorial spatial governance measures.This article provides a preliminary exploration of the theory of disaster risk-constrained human-environment relationships,and presents an analysis and verification using the Zhengzhou"7·20"extreme rainstorm disaster event as a case study,aiming to provide a theoretical reference for promoting high-quality and sustainable urban development in China.
Satellite-based precipitation products have been widely applied to compensate for the sparse distribution of ground rain-gauge stations due to their wide spatial coverage and strong spatiotemporal continuity.However,they still exhibit systematic biases in regions with pronounced underlying surface changes.Existing precipitation correction methods do not fully account for surface characteristics such as land use,and ignore spatial autocorrelation between adjacent stations,making it difficult to accurately represent regional heterogeneity in terrain and climate.In this study,we developed a spatially enhanced XGBoost precipitation correction model by integrating land use types,precipitation information from neighboring stations,conventional meteorological variables(relative humidity,air temperature,and wind speed),and topographic factors(elevation,latitude,and longitude).The Haihe River Basin was selected for case study.The results show that the XGBoost model improved the accuracy of the IMERG satellite precipitation product in both mountainous and plain areas.The corrected precipitation showed good agreement with gauge observations in terms of both spatial distribution and daily precipitation processes,effectively capturing the evolution of local heavy rainfall events and alleviating the systematic overestimation inherent in the IMERG product.Land use was identified as the dominant factor in improving correction accuracy with the contribution rate of 57.8%-66.7%,characteristic factors such as land use,precipitation,and meteorological factors in adjacent areas contributed more than local information at a single station,and land use exhibited a 9.7%-14.5%higher contribution rate.This study provides methodological insights and a technical support for improving regional precipitation correction models and advancing multi-source precipitation data fusion applications.
Strategic emerging industries,as an important component of new quality productive forces,serve as a key pillar of the modern industrial system and a significant driving force for the Chinese-style modernization.Based on data from Chinese listed companies in strategic emerging industries and their investment-related enter-prises,this study systematically analyzed the development trends,spatial pattern changes,and regional division of labor and collaboration patterns of related enterprises in China's strategic emerging industries from the end of the 13th Five-Year Plan period to the end of the 14th Five-Year Plan period.The study revealed that during the 14th Five-Year Plan period,China's strategic emerging industries maintained a positive development trend,par-ticularly standing out during the economic recovery phase in the post-pandemic era.From an industry perspec-tive,related enterprises in strategic emerging industries have increasingly concentrated in key areas such as man-ufacturing,research and development,business,and finance,while spatially further clustering in major urban ag-glomerations,including the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region,the Yangtze River Delta area,the Pearl River Delta ar-ea,Chengdu-Chongqing,and the middle reaches of the Yangtze River,as well as some key provincial capital cit-ies.This has formed an overall pattern centered around the five major urban agglomerations.Both spatial dis-tance and hierarchical distance have imposed constraints on the spatial expansion of strategic emerging indus-tries,and spatial distance played a stronger constraining role.Significant differences existed between different in-dustries within this framework.From the perspective of factors influencing the spatial layout of related enterpris-es in strategic emerging industries,the entire industries generally tended to locate in areas with a high concentra-tion of core enterprises and their associated businesses,showing a preference for cities with advanced industrial structures.However,spatial layout preferences varied across specific types of industries.
