This paper examines the feasibility of using ultrasonic techniques to detect structural imperfections in billets of alloy 01570. The importance of establishing a reliable ultrasonic inspection procedure for this aluminum alloy is unquestionable, given its widespread use in the aerospace sector.
Technology transfer specificity in the context of manufacturing machine elements based polymeric composite materials (PCMs) is considered. It is emphasized that the introduction of PCMs into industry requires not only for the transfer of technical solutions, but also for the comprehensive transfer of knowledge in the field of design, simulation, quality control and managing product service life. The main models, mechanisms, stages, and types of technology transfer, as well as the advantages and challenges thereof are revealed. Particular attention is paid to such contemporary trends as globalization, digitalization, as well as developing open innovation. The analysis demonstrates that the efficient technology transfer represents a key factor in enhancing competitiveness and acceleration innovative development in high-tech industries.
This article examines the improvement of abrasive lapping technology in the manufacture or repair of pipeline valve parts, as well as the achievement of high-quality surfaces on repaired components, effective operating parameters, and conditions on abrasive lapping equipment using lapping plates. The article also highlights the main abrasive finishing process flow charts used in production.
This article discusses the aspect of conducting an experiment on the application of a fire-retarding composition on metal-and-wood structures. The article aims to determine the most effective method and composition for ensuring protection, structural integrity, increasing the time to reach limit states and deformations, as well as to estimate coating methods, operating conditions, type of material, design features, and time to reach limit states. The article emphasizes the importance of a comprehensive approach to ensuring fire safety. The article provides specific examples of successful application of fire protection technologies in real-world conditions, accompanied by recommendations for selecting the optimal solutions for specific types of structures, which allows us to focus on the adaptability of technologies to various conditions.
The rationale for using surface deformation—specifically rolling—on polymer workpieces prior to turning is presented. A method is presented for calculating the depth of cut during the turning of these workpieces, taking into account key rolling process parameters and a correction factor for the elastic recovery effect exhibited by polymer materials after rolling.
