This study explores the relationship between educational satisfaction and subjective well-being in the Spanish population, using data from the European Quality of Life Survey (EQLS). Unlike previous studies focused solely on the level of educational attainment, this research adopts a subjective perspective that considers individuals perceptions of their educational experience. Using structural equation modeling (SEM), the study analyzes two dimensions of subjective well-being: life satisfaction and psychological functioning. The results show that educational satisfaction is positively associated with both dimensions of well-being, even after controlling for sociodemographic variables such as employment status and income. Although age and perceived social support were examined as potential moderating variables in this relationship, no significant interaction effects were found. These findings highlight the importance of assessing educational experience from a subjective perspective and call for expanding well-being research frameworks to include emotional and cognitive indicators linked to education. The study offers relevant implications for the design of education policies focused on well-being across the life course.
The use of artificial intelligence (AI) tools in higher education has transformed how students (men and women) approach academic tasks. Their ability to solve problems within seconds makes them highly attractive, though they may pose risks to student learning if not used appropriately. This study examines how the type of task-delegable or supported-affects students learning experience when using AI. Through two experimental studies conducted with undergraduate Social Sciences students, the research explores perceived learning, perceived effort, student agency (makes decisions or delegates them), psychological ownership of the task, and impostor syndrome. The findings show that task design significantly impacts students learning experience, particularly in how they perceive authorship and feelings of impostorism. Moreover, a temporal effect is observed, where students self-perceptions about the task evolve overtime. The study concludes that effective integration of AI requires both careful instructional design by educators and appropriate student training and practices in using such tools.
Since 2022, the acquisition of artificial intelligence (AI) resources has accelerated worldwide. In the educational field, this has led to the construction of diverse experiences regarding the access, use, and integration of these resources into the daily operations of university work. The research aims to determine the development of the integration of AI resources into undergraduate educational processes at the Universidad Cat & oacute;lica Boliviana San Pablo (Cochabamba Academic Branch). The results allow for identifying the ways in which these resources are approached, recognizing the regular uses of these resources and the most utilized services, defining the competencies and experiences developed from the use of these services, and outlining future perspectives regarding the integration of AI within the educational field. Among the main findings, the research revealed a limited perspective on AI, predominantly associated with chatbots (ChatGPT), a regular use of AI resources in education-related processes, and a favorable yet cautious outlook during this integration process.
