The networking of literature has led to the growth of the electronic book market and the emergence of many samizdat platforms. Digital technologies have created a zone of close contact between the writer and the reader and the ability to satisfy the needs of even very small audiences. In these conditions, the role of the expert literary community began to blur, the author becomes the publisher of his own books, and the reader – the dictator of narrow thematic preferences. The purpose of the article is to show that the orientation of non-expert network resources to satisfy the needs of small reader groups leads to an increase in genre representations, imparts dissipativity to the genre system of samizdat and ultimately leads to the mass reader unable to distinguish the genre characteristics of works. To achieve this goal, the analysis of the data from the most famous monetized samizdat platforms, the electronic sales portal “Litres”, including both samizdat and published literature, was performed. The results of the survey were compared with the practice of individual resources, where the influence of the expert literary community is strong. As a result, it turned out that the sources of the latest representation of genres on a number of platforms are themes and search tags popular among individual reader groups and literary definitions of other cultural practices and platforms. The principles of creating electronic cards of works enhance the dissipativity of the genre system and complicate the definition of the genre by the reader. Advertising and information cards are a kind of “contract forms” for satisfying reader expectations, where the genre, as the least meaningful element for the consumer, “drowns” in the list of themes, motives, properties of heroes and the description of the general mood of the text.
The article is devoted to the analysis of such a specific genre of legal literature as prosecution statement. The relevance of study is determined by the lack of an integrated approach to the study of the trial speech in linguistics. Both general methods of linguistic research (for example, functional-linguistic, stylistic, speech science, communicative) and integral methods meeting the goals and objectives of different scientific disciplines (such as logic, law, sociology, rhetoric) can be applied to the study. The purpose of the study is, firstly, to characterize the genre of the prosecution statement from the point of view of legal requirements for the speech of the prosecutor and traditions of court speaking, and secondly, to consider the linguistic means of implementing such rhetorical parameters as logos, ethos and pathos using the example of specific speeches. Since the oratorical style of A. Ya. Vyshinsky is characterized primarily by bright, historically marked, ideologically colored pathos, the main attention in the article is focused on the analysis of the content and linguistic organization of the pathos of speech both in Vyshinsky’s oratorical style and in general theoretical terms. The article suggests the following directions for reconstructing pathos: analysis of the speaker’s selfreflection, ethical and ideological conditionality of emotions demonstrated in speech; the individual pathos of the speaker is considered in the context of the time. A specific structural feature of a prosecution statement is the inclusion of characteristics of participants in the trial, which is mandatory for this genre. In speeches of Vyshinsky, characteristics of a defendant correlate with the prosecution strategy and pathos. From the point of view of selection of linguistic means for speech portraiture, these characteristics are close to the formation of images of characters in works of art, therefore, they can and should, in the opinion of the author of the article, be studied with the use of linguapoetics methods. The author comes to the conclusion that the main factor in the formation of the style and linguistic features of Vyshinsky’s prosecution statements is the historical and political context of his speeches.
The article deals with the analysis of linguistic and cognitive mechanisms for implementing ethical assessment in the genre of Telegram messages. The study is based on ethical assessments in messages of Ukrainian Telegram channels when constructing the image of Russia. The corpus included channels occupying leading positions in the TGStat rating by the number of subscribers and citations in the thematic groups “Media” and “Politics”. The methodology of the study is based on the postulates of cognitive-discursive analysis, which implies the reconstruction of assessment as a mental phenomenon actualized in an extralinguistic context. As the analysis revealed, the majority of ethical assessments are pejorative. The linguocognitive mechanisms for implementing ethical assessment include zoomorphic metaphors and metaphors of humanoid creatures, irony, the use of precedent statements, pejorative similarization, phonetic blending, disinformation and fake messages, the use of direct nominations with evaluative semantics. The features of the analyzed discourse include the authors’ desire to give an ethical assessment not to individuals, but to the Russian people as a whole. This practice, known as nationalistic attribution of traits, simplifies complicated social realities and leads to xenophobia, stereotyping and marginalization of public consciousness.
The article tests the hypothesis that the structure and flexibility of the format have made storytelling the optimal genre model in brand journalism (promotion journalism). Storytelling is understood as an original genre organization of speech in Internet communication. Due to its demand, storytelling has new formats for implementation. The authors analyze the reasons for the popularity of storytelling and reveal its value for the sphere of mass communications. The distinctive features of storytelling in brand journalism include consumer focus, emotionality, uniqueness of content, simplicity, and dialogic nature of the text. In the systemic classification description of storytelling, the authors highlight different types and models of text construction, and analyze examples from new media. According to the organization of the storyline, eight general types are singled out (monomith, travel wheel, sparkline, false start, nested cycles, etc.). According to the correlation of events within the text, linear and nonlinear storytelling types are contrasted, according to the implementation of the storytelling process and the strategy of managing the audience’s attention – closed and open storytelling. According to the features of the organization of the emotional rhythm of the narrative, storytelling texts are divided into pyramidal segmental and peak contrast types. Based on the technical and technological feature, the authors single out monomedia and transmedia storytelling. Journalistic storytelling is contrasted to marketing and educational storytelling in terms of areas of application. The division of classical (traditional) and strategic storytelling is based on the functional-pragmatic principle. The popularity and pragmatic power of journalistic storytelling in new media are ensured, among other things, by the possibility of implementation in the multitext format.
The creation of texts by a neural network has been one of the most discussed topics in the scientific community since 2022. Experts study how language models affect various areas of our lives, and worry about the future, which will change under the influence of this technology. The academic community is also discussing the prospects or possible prohibitions on the use of artificial intelligence, for example, in the field of education, which is already suffering from the use of ChatGPT by the younger generation. Although now the public’s attention is focused on the results that the authors receive, sending promts to neural network, in this article we want to shift the vector to the promts themselves and answer the following questions: which genre should the promts be referred to; what mandatory elements and genre features they have; whether creating a promt text can be considered a learning process. For research purposes, a survey of 104 respondents from the younger generation of Russians was conducted through the Yandex View system, which was supplemented with in–depth interviews and content analysis of promts. The result of the study showed that promts can be attributed to the “Instruction” metagenre, since they contain the characteristic features of this metagenre. In addition, it was possible to establish that the work of the younger generation on the promt, under certain conditions, is a learning process, the effectiveness of which increases with the assistance of a teacher.
