Public health management is an important sector of clinical medicine providing both a legislative framework and further course of development within the limits of available resources. This is particularly topical in regard to pediatric oncology – one of the most complex and costly branches of medicine. Achieving the best results in the treatment of children with cancer requires cooperation of various medical specialists, treatment at different levels and conduction of multicenter studies. This article reviews the available statistical data and analyses the key regulations governing medical care for children with cancer.
