Septic complications represent a significant portion of all complications after kidney transplantation. Many of the specific and nonspecific factors predisposing to the development of serious bacterial infections in kidney transplant recipients and gram-negative infection remains one of the most frequent. Endotoxin of gram-negative bacteria is the important factor in the initiation of the systemic inflammatory response. In recent years, one of the most perspective ways of treatment of mixed and gram-negative severe septic complications is the selective adsorption of endotoxin. However, current research applications of this method in patients after renal transplantation are very few.
