A Few Insights into Error Function

In this paper, a few mathematical operations involving error function are presented. The outcome of these operations include the definition of signum function, synthesis of error function in time domain through convolution of signum and gaussian function, an alternative approach to compute Hilbert transform of a signal and generation of a narrow pulse. The comparison of the proposed approach with the traditional approach for computing Hilbert transform of a signal is brought out.
