Corporate Environmental Performance And Profitability : A Resource-Based Perspective

With resource-based view of the firm as an outstanding concept, this study maintained a position that environmental and economic performances of a firm can be considered positively related. This relationship can be moderated by the industry growth with the understanding that environmental performance is higher in high-growth industries. This study tested some stated hypotheses with 240 firms over a three year period. Results showed that this relationship becomes accentuated with industry growth.
