Extensive Research study has conveyed that the game theme based learning is motivating, engaging and provides reliable learning context. This paper presents the design, implementation, and evaluation of a game theme-based instructional (GTI) module to teach linked list and binary tree. GTI modules are designed to invigorate the instructors to teach and motivate the learners to learn the concepts of the linked list and binary trees using a gaming metaphor. The virtual reality games seem to be more attractive but are less usable as they tend to have a more complex user interface. Additionally, if the software games have more educational material then it may become less attractive. So, the game with more educational content is likely to be less preferred by the game admirers. The purpose of this paper is to explore the issues concerning the usability and likability of game theme-based instructional module to teach linked list and binary trees. The results of the evaluation of GTI modules show the effectiveness of GTI modules and demonstrates that the GTI module is more usable and likable.
