摘要
With the rise of cloud computing as a dominant platform for data storage and processing, ensuring document security has become paramount. Traditional encryption methods, while robust, often lack the flexibility needed for secure computations on encrypted data without decryption. This paper focuses on enhancing document security in cloud environments using Simple Encrypted Arithmetic Library (SEAL) developed by Microsoft, a homomorphic encryption library that enables operations on encrypted data, preserving confidentiality without exposing underlying information. Through a comparative study, we analyze the performance of SEAL’s schemes on Amazon Web Services (AWS) S3, specifically assessing encryption efficiency, operational integrity, and collaborative decryption in a shared key environment. Our findings indicate that Microsoft SEAL not only secures data effectively but also supports scalable cloud integration without substantial computational overhead. While SEAL shows high potential for secure data processing, trade-offs between security and performance are evident, particularly with larger datasets. The paper concludes that Microsoft SEAL’s viability as a robust tool for privacy-preserving computation in cloud environments, paving the way for its broader adoption in sensitive data management applications.
