Infectious disease outbreaks such as COVID-19 have emphasized the need for rapidly deployable isolation facilities that ensure infection control and protect health-care workers (HCW). This study (Part 2 of a two-part series) builds upon-the-design--framework introduced in Part 1 in the February 2026 ASHRAE Journal and focuses on the engineering validation of a modular negative pressure isolation room (MNPIR). A full-scale prototype was tested using SF6 tracer gas, and results were compared with computational fluid dynamics (CFD) simulations.
