Segond fracture is one of the most commonly encountered avulsion fractures of the knee joint, which was classically defined as avulsion injury of the tibial insertion of the lateral capsular ligament at its middle third though recent studies have pointed towards a complex mechanism related to the anterior oblique band and iliotibial tract. It is originally believed to occur due to internal rotation along with varus force and considered as one of the commonly involved structures that constitute postero-lateral corner injury. Several knee structures are known to be associated with Segond fracture most consistently the anterior cruciate ligament. In the current article we report an unusual combination of Segond fracture with osseous avulsion of the tibial attachment of both cruciate ligaments, which has not been described before.
