This volume contains four contributions to the theory of weak interactions which have been presented at the summer institute on weak interactions, University of Karlsruhe, in July 1969. The first paper by A O Barut is a note on the 5 matrix theory of weak interactions, concerning the possibility to reach a more profound foundation than is presented by the phenomenological description according to Fermi theory.
