摘要
This study seeks to examine the potential, challenges, opportunities, and strategies for developing pilgrim tourism in Bangli Regency. The research addresses three key issues: (1) the potential for pilgrim tourism development, (2) a SWOT analysis, and (3) strategies for maximizing this potential in the region. Data was gathered through observation, in-depth interviews, and a literature review, and then analyzed using a qualitative descriptive method. The findings reveal that Bangli Regency offers significant potential for pilgrim tourism, particularly with Chinese cultural relics in Kintamani District, which are highly appealing to Chinese tourists. The SWOT analysis highlights existing strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats, offering a clear picture of the current situation and the challenges involved in developing pilgrim tourism. Based on these results, recommended strategies include infrastructure enhancements, targeted promotions, and partnerships with local communities to enrich visitors' experiences. This research is intended to serve as a guide for stakeholders in shaping sustainable policies and strategies for the development of pilgrim tourism in Bangli Regency.
