THE EFFECT OF CLIMATE FACTORS ON MORTALITY IN HEART FAILURE: A NATIONAL-LEVEL ANALYSIS OF THE VETERANS HEALTH ADMINISTRATION

The season of the year affects the incidence of major cardiovascular events and the outcomes of hospitalizations in congestive heart failure (CHF). The factors behind this seasonal variation are largely unknown. We identified a national cohort of 351,022 individuals diagnosed with CHF over the
