THIS is the second edition of the celebrated book that appeared five years ago, which has been perhaps the most outstanding book written on the quantum theory. The new edition has the same brilliantly distinctive-style as the old. Much of the book has been rewritten, and a new chapter on electromagnetic radiation has been added at the end; but its main character is unaltered.
