The equipment has a number of test receptacles (4) equipped with stirrers (20) and pipettes (26) for extraction of predetermined volumes of specimen liquid. The pipettes are arranged in a frame (28) which is adjustable in height and movable into the working position by a stepping motor (36).
The control responds to input data related to the stirrers at the time of their adjustment, and to the quantities in the receptacles when the equipment is set up for a specific test. The frame with the pipettes is raised and lowered on two telescopic columns (30,32) rotated by a toothed-belt drive (34).
USE/ADVANTAGE -With specimens of pharmaceutical products. Positioning of pipettes is precise, reliable, reproducible and free from human error.
