[0008]To all whom it mag concern: .Be it known that I, OHARms LoNo, a citizen of theUnited States, residing at J efier- Indiana, have invented'certain new and useful Improvements in Grease-Guns, of which the following is a specification;
[0009]The present invention relates to dispensto new and useful improvements in grease guns.
[0010]An object of my invention is to prov de a grease gun in which a packet or package of grease is placed, the package being open on one end. to permit dispensing of its (:onv tents.
[0011]' Another object of my invention is to provide a grease gun in which the filling operation may be carried. out without the inconveniences now found in the devices usually employed, particularly with reference to the soiling of the hands or clothes when filling the container.

[0013]A still further object of my invention is to provide a dispensing container of the class described which is simple in construction,

[0023]A plunger 8 is mounted in the main contalner 1' and is provided with a threaded projection 9 on the inner end thereof and a handle 10 on the outer end thereof.
[0024]The substanceto be dispensed from my improved container is preferably put up in package form and the preferred form of package is best shown inFigs. 2 and 3 wherein I provide an end cap or plug 11 from which extends a tubular carton 12 of cheap destructible material. The free end of the carton 12 may besealed and the carton is adapted to contain grease, soap, or any substance which it is desired to dispense. The cap 11 is provided with an opening 13 toreceive the threaded extension 9. The cap may be, and is preferably made of wood and the opening 13 is only large enough to start in the threaded extension 9. As will be apparent from an inspection of Fig. 2 the diameter of the carton 12 is preferably such size as will permit the free marginal edge of the carton to normally seat on the screen frame 7 and it will be seen that when force is applied to the plunger 8 the contents of the carton will be forced through the screen 6 and thence through the nozzle 3, but the carton will be prevented from passing through with the substance being dispensed.
[0025]f course, it is .to be understood that the substance which is to be dispensed is'of a proper density which will prevent its readily flowing but will allow its passage through the screen 6. It will also be understood that the material from. which the carton 12 is made may be very thin in order that when the carton is completely collapsed and its contents dispensed it will interfere but very little with the opening. The substance to be dispensed from the carton '12 is shown in Fig. 2 and designated 14. It will be readily apparent that my invention'is adapted for dispensing all kinds of compounds and compositions for cleaning purposes as well as grease and I therefore do not limit myselfv to its application to this use.
[0026]From the above description taken in connection with the accompanying drawings, it is thought that a clear and comprehensive understanding of the construction, operation and-advantages of my invention may be had, and While I have shown and described my invention as embodying a specific structure, I desire that it be understood that I may make such changes on said structure as do not depart from the spirit and scope of the invention as claimed.
[0027]What I claim as new and desire to secure by Letters-Patent is l. A means for dispensing lubricant, including in combination, a container having force feed means therein, and a lubricant containing packet formed of destructihie newness material and having means arranged on one end thereof to permit the securing oi? the same to the feed means of said container when arranged therein.

A means for dispensing lubricant, including in combination, a cylinder having a reduced outlet opening, a strainer arranged adjacent said outlet opening, a piston Working in said cylinder carrying a screw element, and a lubricant containing p acket formed of destructible material and having means arranged on one end thereof to permit the securing of the same to said screw means when received in the cylinder.
